Hugo is home...

Right on schedule.

UPS delivers...

Out of the box:

Freed!

United with its elder sibling from last year:

Thanks again to Catherine Asaro for the faithful on-site schepping.

(For those wondering, that's the 2018 Hugo Award for best series for The World of the Five Gods from the San Jose Worldcon, just arrived, and the 2017 Hugo Award for best series for The Vorkosigan Saga from the Helsinki Worldcon, the inaugural year of the best series category.)

Jerri The tiny library where I volunteer is currently trying to expand the SF collection, so I have been filling in the Vorkosigan Saga and Five Gods series (that we can afford, will have to wait for Penric to be released in omnibus paperbacks, I imagine to finish that off) to have a "Hugo Series" display.

Kosigan They look great together, well done!

If ever you had an urge to write a prequel/sequel/something-else for the Sharing Knife, now may be a good time to do so. Just to, as one of your characters might say, see what happens...

(This is not a serious suggestion... but don't let that stop you. 😉)

Jsmh Congratulations!!!! I loved the series. Especially The Curse of Chalion. I thought Cazaril was one of the best characters in all of literature!

message 12: by Ay (new)

Ay I love Cazaril. You could have a novel which is him going through is morning post over breakfast and chatting to his family and I would be totally there. Or Cazaril doing anything really.

message 13: by Joy (new)

Joy I love Caz too. He's my favorite LMB character. He even wins over Miles. Congratulations on the Hugo! You really deserve it!

message 14: by Margaret (new)

Margaret The Curse of Chalion was my introduction to LMB's writing and though I love most of the other books (especially the new ones) I think it is her deepest and best.
PS. I loved the brief references in Paladin of Souls to Cazaril's later career and life.

I totally want to read Cazaril's breakfast scene! Although Lois says that if we suggest it, she'll never write it :(

Yvonne D'inverno Dear Author
If you never write another word ('though I hope you write lots more!) you have earned my undying gratitude for your work. It has inspired and helped me through the bad times and the good.
THANK YOU!
XxY
