Nothing like a little Chaos, hmm? (hee hee) ^^;;

And, yes, I did check several chapter endings and they seem to be correct. And the ones I saw do help strengthen the story and make the transitions smoother. Of course, Lois, you don't write unimportant sentences, especially at the ends of chapters.

Ooh! I'll try that! Thank you!
edit: How did you get into the chat?
Okay, I'm in a chat now.

I just tried that, and resynching, with Kindle on my tablet; still no love. My Kindle app claims to have auto-update working, not that I trust it. I still have the old file. I think you were just fortunate enough to get the new file in the first place.
In which case, enjoy!
Ta, L. ...Go on without me, save yourselves...

I'm reaching out to customer service as well, if enough of us do that, maybe they will push the updated title to everyone 😁

This is what I did to get the correct file on Amazon: (hopefully the link works, because it is long)
1) I went to Contact Us
2) Then "Digital Content and Services"
3) On #2, I filled out the "tell us more about your issue".
- I selected: "Kindle eBooks" -- "Kindle E-Reader" -- "Problems downloading content"
4) Then on #3, I clicked "Chat". A little window popped up with a chat agent. I told them "Hello. I purchased an ebook "The Prisoner of Limnos" and the author updated the file, but I have yet to receive the updated file."
They eventually pushed the updated file to me. I had to delete the old copy from my device and download the new file. That was it! It took me 7 minutes. ^^
Hope this helps!

(My sister and I both read the faulty copy and loved it anyway ... looking forward to re-read the full version!)

I ended up emailing support, who also pushed the book to me, but had me deregister my Kindle app on both devices. When I logged in again, I got the updated book with the correct endings.

The file would not have been corrected yet Saturday morning (depending on your time zone, perhaps.) The non-automatic update button is not yet showing on the "manage your content and devices" page (8:15 AM Sunday), so possibly the automatic one hasn't scrolled out yet, either.
In a burst of helpless frustration, I made a manual list of corrections, for the benefit of persons as impatient as I am: see next post. But it still most certainly won't be the intended reading experience.
