Bujold appearances in the Twin Cities coming up in March

First:

Speculations Readings at DreamHaven Books: Lois McMaster Bujold Wednesday, March 15

The Speculations Readings Series continues monthly, mostly on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:45 p.m. at DREAMHAVEN BOOKS, 2301 38th St E, Minneapolis. Each reading includes a reception with free soda pop and cookies, and a post-reception expedition to a local bistro.

On Wednesday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. LOIS McMASTER BUJOLD reads from her fiction. (Note the time change from an earlier notice.)

Second:

Signing (mainly in honor of "Penric and the Shaman") Saturday March 18th from 1 PM to 2 PM

Lois Bujold We had a nice turnout at Dreamhaven last night. I signed some stock of "Penric and the Shaman" for the store, so out-of-towners can still mail-order signed copies.

One of the attendees did a recording of the reading, which was from "Mira's Last Dance", and which he intends to put up I believe on YouTube at some point. I trust I didn't scratch my nose too much. I am still not quite used to what were once real-time-only experiences to be immortalized quite so readily, an evening out with acquaintances becoming more of a performance. On the other hand, a lot more people get to share, potentially.

Jerri I share you qualms about some of these changes. On the other hand, I live hundreds of miles from Minneapolis and would love to be able to hear you read a segment from Mira's Last Dance, so hope to find it on YouTube some day.
