I Had a Dream

I remember a dream,

I once had,

A dream of perfection,

Of a woman I would meet.

A Maid that would,

Complete my soul,

Driving away,

Those feelings so grey.

Someone that just got me,

As I did them

A woman with whom,

To write the perfect story.

The dream was buried,

For many a long year,

Until you came along,

And allayed all fear.

I yearned for a connection,

Solid and true,

A union I found

Only when I met you.

We met with words,

Across a vast wasteland,

A delay before we met,

And I asked for your hand.

I’d found my soul mate,

Now I knew what that meant,

The other half of me,

You were heaven sent.

Cacophony

Joined in unison,

Bodies as one,

Gently rocking

Our pleasure begun.

Deep inside,

Your heavenly grace,

That look of ecstasy,

Upon your face.

As passion rises,

Moans escape lips,

Bucking and thrusting,

Your gyrating hips.

Hair flying,

The arch of your back,

My hands on your breasts,

Of ardour no lack.

A white hot fire,

Burns in my loins,

As I start to spasm,

My whole body doth rejoice.

A perfect connection,

Of us two,

Alone in the universe,

Just me and you.

And then release,

Joyous and profound,

A cacophonous explosion,

Love knows no bound.

Then tender moments,

Wrapped in each other,

There could be no more,

Perfect lover.

The First Time

The first time you wrote,

A comment for me,

I could hardly know,

What this would grow to be

The first time we emailed

Privately, of course,

My heart soared and sailed

And you were the source

The first time we texted

More instantaneous now,

The fens to be excepted,

Where 3G is a sow

The first time we spoke

Your beautiful voice,

Took my breath away,

Made me rejoice

The first time we skyped

And I saw your face,

My heart it did flutter,

At your angelic grace

The first time we met,

In the physical world,

Everything shifted,

As my soul unfurled

The first time we kissed

And sizzling sparks flew,

Our lips they touched,

And our love grew

The first time we made …

Such intimate joy,

From the heavens above,

Just a girl and a boy

And all of these firsts,

Led to seconds and thirds,

An infinity of ecstasies,

That you bring unto me.

The ultimate love,

United and free,

Together always,

Is what we shall be.

Just One Look

Just One Look

That look on her face,

The glint in her eyes,

A vision of grace,

No hint of disguise.

A heart so full,

A soul so vast,

A perfect jewel,

Beauty unsurpassed.

I watch with wonder,

Unadulterated love.

A clap of thunder,

From the skies above.

Mine heart doth beat,

A mighty tattoo,

My soul complete,

Because of you.

Sunrise

Sunrise

The beauty of

The early morn

Watching the sunrise

The breaking of dawn

And so begins

A brand new day

A new beginning

In every way

From out the dark

And into the light

The dawn of possibilities

A heavenly sight

Out with the old

And in with the new

The splendour of life

The morning dew

The privilege one feels

To share this wonder

Uplifts your soul

Tears worries asunder

Nature’s majesty

And universal power

Above all things

Doth surely tower

What’s in a Book?

At the Beach

A deserted beach

Not a soul around

Not a person in sight

Nor any human sound

But soundless, oh no

There’s the rolling waves

The sound of gulls crying

And the seal as he bathes

A rock that looks

Like a basking seal

Whitecaps and rocks

And a gentle dull roar

Driftwood shapes

A dolphin, some whales

Remnants of weather

Of stormy gales

Your head on my thigh

The sound of the waves

As there we lie

On a dull chilly morn

The mist in the trees

Verdant green hills

Windless lees

Memorable times

What’s in a Book?

What’s in a Book?

What’s in a book?

Between the covers

Let’s take a look

At the wonders inside

Whether fact or fiction

Novel or poetry

Written with perfect diction

Or slovenly prose

What about genre

Romance or mystery

Fantasy or horror

Thriller or erotica

Escape the mundane

Visit the fantastic

Magical worlds

Imagination elastic

So what’s in a book?

Now you know

Anything you like

Go on give it a go

Tahoe Queen

Tahoe Queen

In the footsteps of Clemens

A path now well trod

Astride a mountain

Before a lake so pure

A Tahoe Queen

In Zephyr Cove

A paddle steamer

Thoughts of Twain

Distant Mountains

On the opposite shore

Snow peaked caps

A beauty so raw

Gentle waves

Lash the shore

A crescent cove

A sandy beach

Dogs playing chicken

With incoming waves

Crazy cold water

Crazy fool dogs

Firs and pines

About the beach

The sound of waves

One’s ears do reach

Shining water

Clear as crystal

A translucent blue

And trees of green

Summer sun

Winter snow

At 7000ft

Nestled between the peaks

The rape of the earth

The Earth

The rape of the earth

Has continued too long

Charging headlong

Towards its final death song

How many ways

Can we possibly find

To destroy our planet

And nature’s purpose undermine

Open cast mining

And deforestation

These affronts to Gaia

And the whole of creation

A world polluted

Rain turned to acid

Leaves vegetation and life

Limp and flaccid

Over Fishing

And Herman’s stunt

African safaris

And the big game hunt

The continual abuse

Of our eternal mother

Leads us onward

Closer to the fall

Plunging on headlong

Towards oblivion

All for the worth

Of her natural resources

A Work of Art

A Work of Art

Watching you lay there

Oh beauty so fair

A vision so pure

A grace so rare

The body of Venus

Aphrodite combined

Intellect and humour

A mind so refined

A love eternal

A soul so pure

Ever lasting

Our love will endure

My one true love

My ever after

You fill my heart

With joy and laughter

One final word

From deep in the heart

Always together

A work of art
