Excerpt 5 from ‘A Poetic Proposal’
Another featured poem from, ‘A Poetic Proposal’, my collection of poetry dedicated to Ionia, as an hors d’ouvre to the poetry you can experience inside.
Again, this poem appeared previously on the blog, in May 2014.
Just To Be Here
Just to be here,
In this place,
To see the look,
Upon your face.
Just to be here,
The same time,
Separation,
Is such a crime.
Just to be here,
With my love,
Makes me believe,
In heaven above.
Just to be here,
With my girl,
Makes my heart,
Spin and whirl.
Just to be here,
Alone with you,
Is all I ever,
Want to do.
The book is available here and comes in both digital and paperback format. Stocking fillers! Don’t forget.

Excerpt 4 from ‘A Poetic Proposal’
As you will all know by now, assuming that you have been reading these posts, that as part of the release of ‘A Poetic Proposal’ I am going to be featuring a poem from the book, dedicated to Ionia, each day this week as a taster of the poetry you can experience inside.
This is one that first appeared on the blog back in June. I have amended it slightly as I preferred the sound of new line. See if you notice it.
Half a Lifetime
Half a lifetime
Spent alone
Not even knowing
I wasn’t alive
It only took a minute
To know this was right
And all of a sudden
I saw the light
Being with,
The one that you love
This is a gift,
From heaven above
Sometimes we cannot,
be together
When all we want,
is together forever
That day will come
I know in my heart,
We shall be together,
Never apart
I cannot express
in words alone
The depth of my love
And desire for you
I just want to spend,
The rest of my life
Right by your side,
With you as my wife.
The book is available here and comes in both digital and paperback format. Stocking fillers! Don’t forget.

Excerpt 3 from ‘A Poetic Proposal’
As part of the release of ‘A Poetic Proposal’ I am going to feature a poem from the book, dedicated to Ionia, each day as a taster of the poetry you can experience inside.
This poem works as a companion piece to ‘When I say Your Name’ featured in the first of this series of posts. I hope you enjoy it.
When you say my name
When you say my name,
My heart it skips a beat,
It fills my soul with joy,
It makes me feel complete.
When you say my name,
It takes my breath away,
Makes me believe in god,
And like I ought to pray.
When you say my name,
Whether Julian or Jules,
I know for you I’d break,
All the senseless rules.
When you say my name,
In your special way,
I know I want to be,
Right there, with you to stay.
When you say my name,
And I tell you, ‘I love you’,
I look towards that perfect day,
When we both shall say ‘I do’
The book is available here and comes in both digital and paperback format. Stocking fillers! Don’t forget.

Excerpt 2 from ‘A Poetic Proposal’
As I said yesterday, as part of the release of ‘A Poetic Proposal’ I am going to be featuring a poem from the book, dedicated to Ionia, each day this week as a taster of the delights you can experience inside.
This one is another personal favourite, although I guess they pretty much all are. This one has also been featured previously on the blog, along with audio, which I shall include here again.
On Gossamer Wings
http://julianfroment.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/on-gossamer-wings.wav
On gossamer wings,
On gossamer wings,
My heart it flies to you.
To be together,
‘till the end of days
Is all that’s left to do.
Flying high,
‘cross the ocean blue,
To where it now belongs.
Cradled within,
A soul so true,
Amidst angelic song.
And soon now,
Oh, so very soon,
The body will be along.
To join the heart,
To fill the void,
Back where I belong.
The book is available here and comes in both digital and paperback format.

Blog Tour Volunteers Wanted
To mark the release of ‘A Poetic Proposal’, my poetry collection dedicated to, Ionia, I would like to have a small blog tour in a couple of weeks. I would really appreciate as many people signing up, in the comments below, as possible. Thank you to those that have already expressed an interest.
I will create a schedule, then provide the appropriate html and instructions for you to be able to simply copy and paste, then publish.
Thank you in advance.
Since I am still giddy about being able to express my love publicly for Ionia in a published work, here are the details again.
Don’t forget, the paperbacks will make handy stocking fillers for friends and family this Christmas :-)

So I have a special announcement, which you can probably figure out from the title:
LEGENDS OF WINDEMERE: CURSE OF THE DARK WIND WILL BE OUT SOON!
I’m aiming for December 12th, which means a COVER REVEAL will happen this week or over the weekend. I don’t have the final cover yet, but Jason is working hard to get it to me within the next few days. I don’t have any teasers to post here since I only have sketches and those can be misleading. So I put up a zoom in of Nyx from ‘Prodigy of Rainbow Tower’ because it’s cool.
(Edit: Decided to give a sneak peek of part of the sketch. This is blog only.)

Anyway, I’m hoping to gather volunteers for the cover reveal. I’ll email the HTML or WORD…

Excerpt from ‘A Poetic Proposal’
As part of the release of ‘A Poetic Proposal’ I am going to feature a poem from the book, dedicated to Ionia, each day as a taster of the wonders you can experience inside. As a bonus I shall include the audio that appeared with this when previously posted on the blog.
The first up is one of my personal favourites, and also one of Pamela’s favourites, as revealed in her excellent review which you can see here.
When I say your name
https://julianfroment.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/io2.wav
When I say your name,
And look upon your face,
That smile upon your lips,
Replete with heavenly grace
When I say your name,
A spark lights up your eyes,
My heart it soars so high,
It reaches to the skies
When I say your name,
And a glow envelops you
I can feel your love,
So deep, so pure, so true
When I say your name,
I’m filled with butterflies,
The greatest feeling ever,
No need to wonder why
When I say your name,
I add three perfect words,
I gaze into your eyes,
And say, ‘I love you, Ionia’
The book is available here and comes in both digital and paperback format. The paperbacks make handy stocking fillers for loved ones at Christmas I am told.

A Poetic Proposal by Julian Froment Book Review
Wow. What an incredible review from Pam. Thank you so much, Pam.
Please don’t forget to sign up for the Blog Tour. Your help would be much appreciated.
Originally posted on Poetry by Pamela:
From Amazon Book Description:
A poetic journey of love in the face of enforced separation. A collection of love poetry, and verse reflecting the angst felt when two are destined to be one, then forced to live a half-life constantly traversing the ocean. A roller coaster ride of emotional highs and lows.
My review: Five out of five stars
Reading this collection of poems made me feel like I was eavesdropping on the world’s most romantic marriage proposal. It was quite evident that they were written by plumbing the depths of Julian’s soul. The expression of emotions was tender and loving. And heartfelt. If you are looking for love poems to share with your own lover, these are just the poems.
The poems were arranged in such a way that they progressed over time with the time apart illustrating the agony. My favorite poem I think…

Revelation! From the Treetops
The ‘double top secret’ project from my post of a few days ago, ‘Holy Crap!’, is now completed and can be revealed. So without further ado, except for the obligatory drum roll, here it is.
I have been working on a small collection of poems, a humble effort that I have now published on amazon. Most of you that have been following this blog for a while will not be surprised to know that the entire collection is dedicated to the love of my life, Ionia, the inspiration in all I do. This includes a personal message for her, and this book is my version of shouting my love for her from the treetops. The poems are all based on love and separation, as you could have no doubt guessed.
I would also like to have a blog tour (some time in December) to publicise the release of this, my first, but hopefully not last, published work. If you would like to sign up and help me out with the blog tour please let me know in the comments.

My Thanksgiving
Dreams of us,
Back together,
Side by side,
Always, forever
Nothing better than,
You in my life,
I give thanks,
That you’ll be my wife
This is my Thanksgiving,
My eternal gratitude,
That you found me,
And I found you.
