The Shannara Chronicles Premieres TONIGHT!
It has been a long, amazing adventure but The Shannara Chronicles is finally premiering tonight at 10/9c on MTV!
A lot of different dreams are coming true today — and wow, it’s happened! Terry is thrilled with the adaptation, as a fan I love how it remains true to the book while still being something new, and we both are hoping you love it as much as we do!
We will have a Spoiler Discussion area set up on Terry’s website by day’s end! So we can all talk about the TV series!

That’s right, Shannara fans! The Shannara Chronicles premieres tomorrow, January 5th, at 10/9c on MTV! In the United States and Canada!

The Shannara Chronicles premieres January 5th at 10/9c on MTV!
But if you can make your way to Washington State or live nearby, you can watch it early!
In partnership with MTV and Sonar Entertainment, the EMP Museum in Seattle is screening the first two episodes of the forthcoming epic TV series. And not in some rare, one-day event. No. That would be boring.
The episodes will be shown twice daily from December 21st through December 31st!

Event: Terry Brooks At University Bookstore Tomorrow
This is a last minute event!
Terry Brooks will be attending Small Business Saturday, visiting the University Bookstore in Seattle, WA! He will be joined by Greg Bear, Django Wexler, Rosamund Hodge, Isaac Marion, Stephanie Oakes, Chelsea Pitcher, Julia Quinn, Adam Rakunas, Dana Simpson, and Conrad Wesselhoeft! Plus I’ll be there with copies of Unbound, which contains a new Landover short story!
Terry will be part of a panel at 3 PM with a signing taking place afterward.

The Shannara Chronicles premieres on Tuesday, January 5th, on MTV.
That said, every Tuesday, the first thing you can watch is the title sequence for the TV show!
It is posted above. I find title sequences super important in this new golden age of TV. My favorites the last few years have had this kind of style—animation mixed with a song. Game of Thrones, True Detective, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, etc. Powerful opening statements that help set the tone for the overall show.
