Cover Reveal: The Stiehl Assassin

The Stiehl Assassin publishes June 4, 2019!

It is time to reveal the wrap around cover for Book 3 of The Fall of Shannara, which features Princess Ajin standing amidst the ruin of the Four Lands. That cover is below in all of its beauty and glory! I am currently reading the final draft of the book and it is excellent. It is striking the right balance of magic, battle, and character development – all while ramping up the conflict leading to the fourth and final book in the series!

Terry is cur...

BrooksBlog: Street Freaks Acknowledgements

In Stores Now!Hey Everyone,

Time to thank all those people who helped with publishing, marketing, publicizing and supporting yours truly with Street Freaks. Boy, did I need that support and that sense of community. Forty years in the business sure came in handy when it was time to call on friends long-standing and recent for help that was desperately needed.

First and always, Judine. Without her, nothing works. Especially me.

Del Rey was right there from the beginning, supporting an effort th...

BrooksBlog: Back From The Street Freaks Road

Happy Days To Everyone!

I am always buoyed up and energized when I get home from a book tour, and that is doubly so with this last one. Judine and I did it on our own dime since it was a Grim Oak Press publication and we couldn’t very well call up Del Rey and ask for money. But Del Rey did help us with reservations and suggestions on the publicity and marketing end and were endlessly patient with my efforts to make this work. After all, they have invested forty some years in me and my work, s...

Giveaway: Street Freaks Audiobook Read By Simon Vance

Street Freaks is here!

It published on October 2nd and people have been reading and reviewing since then. That makes Terry and I immeasurably happy, of course, but we should do a giveaway to celebrate the book, right?

But not just any giveaway. One of the coolest things about bringing Street Freaks to life was marshaling the voice talents of Simon Vance, the excellent audiobook narrator. He’s a fan favorite among Terry’s readers and he was keen on bringing Street Freaks to life in the Audible...

Street Freaks Is Published Today!

Published Today!Dear Readers,

It has been forty years since the publication of The Sword of Shannara. Since then, I have written thirty-seven books of fantasy, a memoir, two movie adaptations, and a bunch of short stories. But I am trying something new. Because Street Freaks is not a part of my other series or even a fantasy of the sort I have always written.

Street Freaks is a story of a future in which the United States no longer exists in its present form. At its epicenter is Ash Collins,...

Amazon Picks Street Freaks As SF&F Book of the Month

Publishing: October 2, 2018Tomorrow sees the publication of Street Freaks by Terry Brooks!

As you can imagine, Terry and I are excited about it. He started writing the SF futuristic thriller five years ago, the story of Ash Collins trying to overcome terrible odds in a dangerous future as Brooksian as his other work. But we aren’t the only people excited about the book. Robin Hobb, Marie Lu, James Rollins, and Tamora Pierce all loved the book—and now Amazon Books has gotten behind it too!

I a...

Warrior Is Published! New Word/Void Available Now!

Today sees the ebook publication of Warrior by Terry Brooks!

I know I’m not the only one excited about this. The Word and the Void trilogy is my favorite set of Brooks books. And for a long time, Terry said he’d never return to that setting, having accomplished everything he had set out to do with those characters and that setting. That changed last year when he had a great idea, one he couldn’t ignore.

What is Warrior though beyond a return to the Word/Void? First, Warrior is a direct sequel...
