5 Signs you’ve met your Soulmate

All of us want that special soul mate connection. But what are the signs you should look out for that tell you that you’ve encountered a soul- mate connection? There’s five main hints the universe gives us that are all tied up with a little bit of magic and a dash of synchronicity. Check out that new connection (or an existing one) and see if there’s more going on than meets the eye!

1: You meet someone then unexpectedly run into them again a short time later. Maybe there was an instant spark there and you may have even exchanged contact details. But whether you have done or not, when and where you least expect it, you run into them again. Pay attention. The universe could just be working to bring the two of you together.

2: You discover you almost connected many times in the past. It’s all a bit of fate and Quantum Entanglement going on. What Einstein referred to as ‘spooky action at a distance’ also occurs between soul connections. As you get to know the person you find that time and time again in the past you ‘almost’ connected. This can be anything from being at the same event, the same place or knowing the same people at some point but the timing was not quite right so you missed each other by hours or even minutes. It’s all a bit like Sliding Doors but again, this is another sign the universe has been working at bringing about your meeting.

3: You have an intense emotional reaction to them. You either ‘click’ at once or else – just the opposite occurs. There have been many, many instances I know of where people have encountered their soul partner and initially dislike them on sight! I know of one case of a couple who have been happily married for 25 years in one of the most romantic marriages I know of, but initially when they met the now-wife could not stand him and said to the mutual friend who introduced them that she never wanted to see him again!

Often our higher selves know more than we do and pick up the importance of the meeting before we are aware of it. This can trigger our ‘fight or flight’ response as we know there is serious soul work ahead! Or we fear the very thing we want most of all and try running from it! Understand that a soul mate connection may not be ‘instant karma’ but may involve us confronting our own barriers or our preconceptions. Oh, and just so you know in the case I mentioned above – the next time she met him they talked for hours and she never left! Be open.

4: They don’t have an agenda. Soul mate connections come in all shapes and sizes and across all kinds of relationships. If someone wants to help you but seems to want nothing in return, this is a sign you are dealing with a soul mate. So, a soul mate could even be a boss who supports your career and helps you move forward, a teacher who devotes that extra time to you, someone who backs your idea or believes in you, a friend who is always there for you, no matter what. All these are soul mates.

5: They help you grow. One sure sign you are dealing with a soul mate is that they help you grow on a human, emotional and spiritual level and they open doors for you into new worlds of possibility and experience. Understand that this can be positive and negative. Strangely enough, gaining the strength to leave a destructive relationship is a soul mate test! Soul contracts take many forms and this may not always be all wine and roses. Just because the soul connection exists does not mean you have to stay with someone who does not respect you or care for you. You could have both agreed before coming here that this lifetime you would work on your inner strength and confidence.

However, most soul mate connections are all about expanding each other’s worlds and evolving to become all you can be together usually through positive shared experiences. So, as well as a partner or a friend, a soul mate can also be an animal. If it’s a growth connection – it’s a soul mate connection – of that you can be sure!

Happy New year to each and every one of you!! I feel doubly blessed being an eclectic Witch, I can appreciate the opportunities of pagan seasons and sabbats, and Gregorian calendar time lines.  Plenty of chances for us all to review, resolve, renew and continue in our life cycle.  Work the moon cycles in with that and the wheel of time can be beautiful stage managed to help us enhance our energy, heal, and grow.

I really hope you all had the Yuletide you wanted, and got something from that time whether you were knee deep in visitors and turkey, or had some nurturing time just for you.  Mine was that mix of people and pyjamas.  One day making myself presentable to the outside world, the next, snuggled up to my cats on the sofa with Netflix.

For me it was also a healing time finding myself with an imposed rest, the universe wanting me to just stay in p. j’s and in bed at one point.  Hence the delay in producing this, as my brain was a little fogged!  It’s back, I’m back and I’m ready to do 2019 with feeling!

I’ve some new things planned for you this year, but they are still in new moon phase, but very keen to meet you.

So once again dear Wicca Oracle souls, or ‘Wiccascopians’, let’s do this!

When we read our Wiccascopes, we do them for the most part with one question in mind, ‘So Violet that’s all very well giving me a card for the year, or to start the year off, but how the heck do I do it?’

Anyone whose been on a corporate programme of study will perhaps inwardly groan, ‘Oh SMART targets’. 

But have no fear these are your own!

This is not a sales director telling you how to reach the goals they set you.  It’s about you being your own boss, setting your own goals, (if you want to), and how to achieve them.

S

Be Specific: You will have a greater chance of being accomplished than a general goal if you set a specific goal.  O.K. How?

*Who:      Who is involved?

*What:     What do I want to accomplish?

*Where:    Identify a location.

*When:     Establish a time frame.

*Which:    Identify requirements and constraints.

*Why:      Specific reasons, purpose or benefits of accomplishing the goal.

M

Measurable – How are you going to gauge your progress? By date, by how you feel? How much you have earned?

How much? How many?

How will I know when it is accomplished?

A

Attainable – Identify goals that are most important to you, then start to work out ways you can make them happen. You can develop the attitudes, skills, and financial capacity to achieve them. Look carefully for previously overlooked chances you missed.

Plan wisely and set out a time frame that allows you to carry out those steps. Do not rush the process. Goals that may have seemed of reach eventually can move closer and become attainable if you go step by step, and you grow and get closer to achieving them.

R

Realistic- Are you hoping for a dream to come true at a set time without input from yourself.  Only set a goal that you are both willing and able to work for. With help and guidance, you can get there, and of course guidance can give you timings, but you have to be part of your wishes and dreams.  As do willing participants who we wish to involve in them.  So, it’s a tough one this one, be honest with yourself. Is what I want, what I need, and if there is a person involved, ‘Is x on the same page as me?’

T

Timely – If your goal is realistic if you truly believe that it can be accomplished, by a set time. Another way to know if your goal is realistic is to ask if you have achieved a similar goal in the past. Or is the environment you live or work in the right place and time?

On a sensory level T can also stand for Tangible –can you taste, touch, smell, sight or hear it?  This is where our spiritual links really help us.

E

Energy!!

This is the type of energy you bring to your goal setting, carrying out and achieving. 

What kind of energy do you need to make things work for you? Positive!

How does that energy have to be released? Balanced and gently.

What direction does the spiral have to spin in? Clockwise.

What do we need to do to ensure we do this? Nurture, rest, and reset the chakras.

Review, Renew

Working with the seasons, and cycles, don’t just plough on with your goals regardless, blind to the will of others, interference with the outside world, then wonder why you hit a brick wall. Stop every now and then, take note of when you get tired, or people shut down on you, or shut you down.  If something isn’t working, change it. If the goal isn’t working, and you’ve sincerely tried everything. Change it.  The heart of it doesn’t have to change, but the intention behind may have to.

There’s a saying that a higher goal is easier to achieve than a lower goal, because of the reward gained from hard work, makes a dream more magical.  I agree to a certain extent, but I feel we have to be honest with ourselves, as chasing a dream or goal that is if we were really honest, for whatever reason, unachievable, we could burn ourselves out and feel embittered by the process. That said, only you know what is honestly achievable, and many have defied the odds in reaching for the moon and stars.

But make this fun and enjoyable above all else.  A colleague of mine has a monthly mood board, another one a tarot diary, you can be as creative as you wish, for these are no ordinary targets, they are your own unique goals, for your practical and materialistic needs, and your inner most sacred spiritual needs.

Capricorn! Very warm welcome, you are first in the queue now, at the beginning of our year together!  May it be a good one for you.  And how appropriate that you have this card, and our activity is do work on our SMARTER goals! Show us the way Capricorn the leader.

Now Capricorn what happens when you meet a spider, do you?

1) Gather it up in a receptacle or your hands and safely pop it back outside, setting it free to roam once again back in nature?

2) Kill it, by stamping on it or flushing it away?

3) Feel too scared and find yourself unable to deal with it?

4) Let it be, live and let live in your house, do you quite like them or keep one as a pet?

I love spiders, and often watch them at work, tirelessly spinning and weaving their webs around the corners of my ceilings, and admit I only get rid of an old web, with no spider staking a claim to it. 

But I do understand they strike fear into many hearts. This is based on 10th century thinking that spiders brought with them illness and disease, and for something so small in some cases to have such a potent, venomous bit, a more genuine and understandable threat.  Hence like a lot of creatures, we have an innate response to respond with fear when we see them.  It is a survival instinct.

Now imagine you are the spider or you have a very friendly one helping you at the moment.  A spider as your familiar?

It can be any kind of spider.  I imagine I am tiny but mighty, and able to pack the punch of a bee sting bite if needed. And my web is discreet and not bothering anyone, my job is just to eat flies, and wander around designing my lovely webs, to be admired.

What is your web like? Is it the same web you’ve been weaving since the dawn of your time? What patterns or designs do you need to weave? Are you going around in circles, wanting to succeed but ending up in the same place, then starting all over again?

Speaking of webs, in wiccan terms, linking into Viking and Norse belief the Web of Wyrd is, “The formation place of things that will come to pass”. The Web of Wyrd was the formation place of fates. They believed that the Norns, held the fates of all beings in the cosmos, had the job of weaving the fates of all beings into the Web of Wyrd.

You have in you as the spider beautiful strong silk thread to eject from your body, anywhere, any direction, to help you walk or climb away from a situation you have found you stuck in. 

There are no traps now, you can spin your way to freedom. You like the Web of Wyrd have the power now to put into place your own future. Pisces a very happy new year and welcome to you.  I hope you found time to rest up and do just what you wanted to do for you are about to go into 2019 all shiny and new. With a candle in your hand to light the way.

The candle heralds for you a potential time of good fortune, the opportunity for successful out comes.  You are however responsible in your own actions once its light reveals what it is you need to know.   An old myth is If a candle, (or group of candles) is blown out in one breath, it is a sign of good fortune. Think blowing the candles out on a birthday cake after you have made a wish.  To ensure this happened and wishes or good intentions were assured, it is said in the practice of wetting the finger tips to snuff out a candle flame – develop, no doubt, in order to avoid discovering any potential signs of misfortune.

In Wiccan terms the candle is representive of Juno Lucina is a roman goddess who was invoked during childbirth to aid an easy delivery and healthy child; when worshippers called on Lucina, they let their hair loose and untied any knots in their clothing as an act of sympathetic magic, to symbolically loosen any hindrances to childbirth and allow the energy to flow.

We could use this terminology of childbirth in other areas of our life, such as creativity, or new beginnings. Very apt for the new year.  As we are newly born from Yule, The Horned God’s rebirth, and go into a new year, the presence of Juno Lucia frees you up to release yourself from any people and situations that no longer serve your life purpose.

Fellow Librans, how are you?  Blessed may your new year be!  Well talk about peaks and troughs for this Christmas, I had the highs of discovering I actually am my inner child once more, then felt floored the next.  Perhaps an overload of energy, that like a child needs to be managed better, or situations around me.  How was yours?  All I know is the first plan I made this year, was not to make any plans until I was ready to. It is time to claim your true self, (remember I spoke of my inner child it’s not so far removed from aspects of that), it is your destiny.  A blend of guidance from celestial beings with earthly happenings in helping you achieve your highest potential. There are rewards for your hard work so far, and you are being told don’t stop now, even if it feels difficult or hasn’t happened, just yet but please continue, for you are so close. If you have felt like an outsider, or judged as different by others, do not change to fit in, or mute those aspects of yourself, for that which makes you different, is what will help you help others.

The Fool Tarot card is my all time fav card as it’s the dice in the deck and symbolises all wisdom. The Fool card is numbered 0, it is the magical dice of the Tarot and holds all potential within it. The Fool is the card that takes us through the Tarot deck and merrily leads us through our soul’s journey. The Fool can land anywhere and shows us the wisdom and magic of being spontaneous and trusting in our path.

It’s not that the Fool is marching recklessly into the unknown. The Fool trusts what the Cosmos has in store. The Fool, even though they have no clue where they are going, but has both belief and faith. The Fool is a pure spirit with a very open heart. It’s symbolic of our eternal soul, we have ALL knowledge within us as we have been here many times. The Fool reversed urges you not to be FOOLISH! Avoid being reckless and self-destructive. Do not climb a mountain in flip-flops, toboggan over Niagara falls dressed as a clown etc. Seriously, we all know the difference between acting in good faith and doing something that will have terrible consequences. Don’t attempt to enter into a situation that you know will be a disaster! Trust your intuition.
