1/Mix it up

Creativity is actually a similar vibration to love because it is a flow of energy stemming from passion. When we are passionate and flowing, we often tend to see things in a different way and also see other opportunities around us that we may not have before.

This can be relevant to shaking up your relationship, what dates do you go on? what sensual experiences do you venture in? Or even what small habits day to day do you just fall into? Routines can be resonant to having a balanced relationship and life, but it can also sometimes become reductive particularly in relationships as we are all here to experience, evolve and expand.

This is also relevant to self-love and the self-power we feel provoking passion, are you being kind to yourself? Are you adding pleasures in any form to your day? Are you letting yourself be in your stride? Again, sometimes we can get stuck in a certain routine or mental pattern that takes us away from fuelling our own passion.

The king of swords – Don’t be defensive, be dynamic, and allow yourself to see things clearly, but also allow other people to be their authentic self and observe their flow without preempt. When we take inspiration from “what is” as oppose to what our ideology is around people and situations we can invoke change.

2/ Options create opportunities baby

Sometimes when we are feeling flat or fixated on a certain person, or past experience, we can become so focused on that and as a result stagnate ourselves Or draw that type of experience towards us again. This isn’t actually helpful, as often these experiences have been negative, or taken us away from feeling ourselves.  However because this has been our familiar pattern, we tend to flow with this; I would suggest don’t fixate on bringing in what you’re used to, fan out and bring in what you desire and need for yourself.

Whilst this can be challenging, and leads you into unfamiliar territory, once you attract the nurturing love you really deserve it will be worth it. You can also see this as a lesson learned or obstacle that you have overcome. Happy days!

When we take these steps we change our energy and ultimately reshape the journey, and that really is what life is about- experiencing and evolving. In my life I’ve found that when we put ourselves out of our comfort zone in new places and with new/different people we actually transform without realising and see things or people differently, this is life and the universe flowing at it most natural and when we follow suit of this we naturally grow.

The Hierophant – wise up to mix it up, this is saying to you that actually there is more to your situation and life if you allow yourself to seek it. This is the card of higher learning, expansive of mind and sensuality, look at these areas and relate it to your love life to leap forward now.

3/ Speak and solidify to set the foundation.

When we just flow with love connections and relationships, we can sometimes lose sight of the need to solidify commitments ,and embrace significant milestones that lead into the future. This can often cause love problems because the other person (and yourself) can lose sight of, “what is”, and, “what can be”. When we lose sight of this, angst and doubts can creep in and can cause sabotage. The key to this is communication in how you think about what you need from the relationship yourself to yourself and speak about this lovingly and calmly with the significant person around you to get you both on the same page.

This can also be relevant if you are single, as sometimes it’s beneficial to step back, look at where you are and where you want to go next.

Are you committed to self-love? Are you committed to bringing new love into your life? Or are you just happy solidifying to yourself and the world that you are happily single? For in committing to loving yourself, you are saying you are lovable, know what you want and need, and worthy of only the best treatment in love.

Justice – nice! This is saying to you a more open and liberating time is ahead that will free you to move forward. Justice is representative of meeting in the middle of being on the same page, to achieve this is actual about open communication usually so look at doing this with yourself and others to leap forward.

This is about just turning down the volume on the chaos around you, tuning into your emotional feelings in your inner self and the flow of things with your relationship. How are you feeling inside? How do you feel in your relationship? Are you happy, fulfilled and is it actually flowing? Sometimes when we are living our day to day lives, we can forget to connect with ourself and forget to live in the moment, because our mind is so stimulated. This can impact the others in our lives too, because when we are not connected to our inner self, we can cut off other people.

We can also become overly focused on the future, and this can F-Up the present because we haven’t got the foundation, or the flow of energy that we need for the next. Moments are actually all we have, and they have so much meaning because they merge into the next one.

Step back into yourself, and stimulate your emotional and sensual side now. Direct this energy into your focus to formulate the connection that you have or the connection you want to have.

Hello Wiccascopians,

Well, how are you all? And into the light we go, for in the words of Bon Jovi, “We’re halfway there”, (into to spring that is).

I hope your week was happy, productive and you got everything you wanted and needed. I was blessed to meet some very special people this week who made such a difference.

Who are we celebrating? Brighid

What is so special about her? She is an Irish goddess, of healers, musicians, lightworkers, and divinations. And especially of smiths, (blacksmiths), for they work with fire, to heat up metal in order that it can be shaped. Smiths were seen as Magyck workers in early days, alchemists with fire.

This celebration, involves fires being lit, well water being blessed for purification purposes, followers lead by a specially chosen girl would lead in the procession of welcoming Spring in.

It occurs winter solstice and spring equinox and marks a time where crops and seeds planted may now start making an appearance. Just take a sneaky look in the roadside hedges, or in your garden, it may be coming to life. It is a time of nurture and healing. Followers of Brigid would visit sacred wells in order to clean and bless themselves.

Where is it celebrated? Gaelic areas, and in Wiccan circles everywhere, Isle of Man, Scotland, and Ireland, where they have a special feast.

It is said the dark crone of winter would light a fire on this evening, and depending on how it took, would determine how much longer winter would last. For example, if the air be damp and put her fire out, spring wasn’t far away, but it would be a wet one, if rain put it out. If the fire took hold strongly, winter would last longer, if the wind blew it out, spring was not far behind. So, we want a bright, but slightly windy day for this, if we are to have our springer sooner rather than later.

If you are a birthday person this week, it’s a special time to be born. There is a sense of extra rebirthing, an being a child with drive and purpose and not for hanging around.

What will I be doing? Setting up my altar with some appropriate herbs, a food offering, and some water. With candle light rituals marking the end of darkness. I will if the weather is not too hideous be taking a late-night walk around the village, and just hopefully be able to take in the night and its sky.

I think this would benefit all of us, it’s simple, cheap and relaxing.

Sit in a darkened room, relax.

Take a candle, I will use a white one, or a pink one.

Light it.

Place it about 2 and a half feet away from yourself.

Concentrate on the flame only.

Notice how the flame lights up the dark.

Watch it as it flickers, each movement.

Think of nothing but the candle flame, if your thoughts go elsewhere, tell your mind to go back to the candle.

Do this for as short a time as you wish, say 5 – 10 minutes

Afterward notice how calm and peaceful you are, how you are in a state of ‘nothingness’. From this calm state as you go into February you can feel focussed, energized yet calm and not rushing ahead.

Capricorn it’s almost February! Well did you go on that boat trip to decide who was sailing your ship with you? I did this with you and made some progress, I feel better for it. Here’s hoping you are feeling lighter and happier too.

She is going give you the courage therefore to accept the information you receive, and the insight on how to use it.

The Lady I feel is mother nature, Isis, High Priestess, and Queen of the sun, a guardian angel and the ground all at the same time. A multitalented and versatile character, she can morph into many forms, and aid us where we need her to. This incarnation of herself, is dealing with the side of our natures that has a dream, but lacks the faith to trust ourselves and know that of course there are risks, but how do will we know if it will achieve anything if we don’t try?

I also liken her to a Lolly Pop person, or school crossing person, they make it safe for us to cross a road, when we are on an educational, or fact-finding journey. We get to a busy road, there’s a lot of traffic, but we have to cross the road to get to where we need to be. There is a lady there, with a sign with your name on it, saying please cross here. She calms the traffic down and shows you a safe place to cross, at the right time, at the right place for you.

Such is your drive at the moment you may feel you have tunnel vision; the end goal is what it’s all about. Look left and right occasionally, connect to those in your world, take pit stops and rest. Keep an eye on your emotional state are you feeling hot then cold but never on an even keel, she will help you now.

I am full of song this week, I know not why, but love it. Aquarius, ‘Oh Cherry pink and apple blossom White’, I really, really hope you felt that extra boost of love. How do we apply this to you in the here and now Taurus? I feel your pain, I know about finding my balance being of the dizziest air sign, but you are an earth sign, and if you disconnect with your roots, you can feel off kilter. Fear not!

The Horned God comes to restore you, a magnificent physical presence, with his head of a ram, being part serpent, he lives in the place you need to reconnect to in the earth, deep in the earth, of the underworld. He invites you to energise by grounding yourself. My Taurean man loves getting back to nature, going in the woods, and just finding a tree to sit under and well, do nothing. Well, this isn’t spooky at all is it, for you had a star now you have a goddess who works with starlight energy healing. Much like Shekinah, she works in the higher realms of the universe and you are being asked to look up to the night’s sky. And being reminded that it’s okay to dream.

Greetings Leos! Swashbuckling you way through the week with drive, purpose, and honesty was your theme. It hopefully put your words into action and you have set out with the determination of an ardent knight.

Let’s put this into context before the strength of this word worries you. Nemesis. I say when referring to my emotional state, caffeine is my nemesis. It causes me problems, upsets my whole equilibrium, and throws me into full-on panic mode.

But if I look at the word more closely, it’s a lesson, as in, ‘If I drink something that upsets me the consequence is, I could feel bad’. Good day to you! Virgo, was it a bird, was it a lion, or your pet dog you found yourself linking closely to last week? How many of you met your spirit guide familiar? Holy water comes along and invites you to bathe in cleansing, cool waters, that will wash away your stresses and anxieties. I mentioned in a reading last week that each journey needs a pit stop, your pit stop includes a serious cleansing. It also brings the lovely flowing energy of water in a stream, or waterfall, to move you further along in your journey.

For water is about the emotions, let’s pause and discuss water. It can take on very different forms, the stuff that pours out of taps, the refined mineral water. It may come from the sea, and be salty, or from the purest river. The depth of it varies from barely there, to infinitely deep. Its flow can be dead calm and require a sail or motor to power a boat or ship through it, or violently choppy so that you risk falling out of your boat. Its colour can vary from totally clear, to deepest black. Its contents can be a void, or abundant with life, rocks, and shipwrecks. The point is, you are being asked to look at your emotions. What is the water like with you? It also acts as nature’s mirror in reflecting your reality back to you.

When water comes along to help us, holy or otherwise, is go with the flow, if the current takes you back, get out of the water and find a spot where it is flowing in the right direction.

You may find yourself enjoying a salt bath soak, or doing your house spring clean a little early, anticipating less night and more day. I am looking out at my garden and preparing my pots in my mind ready for this summer.

Feeling refreshed and bright, you will hopefully feel ever ready to take on the next leg of your year and have a little spring in your step. You may find you wash away things, people, and beliefs you are no longer connecting to, this is fine, as the flow of water eases you away from such things.

Greetings to you fellow Librans! Is your head full of ideas, learning, and inspiration? I got myself a new tarot deck based on cats, being cat mad, and have been taking my time to get to know them, along with other projects. Inspiration was around me though.

Aren’t bats great, our card this week is The Bat, one of my favourite animals, and I’m privileged to be able to see them fly at night from the barns near my house. What do they want to tell us with their special language of sonar-like squeaks and flurries of flight?

They act for us as messengers that things are going to change, but they will help us learn how to cope with this. Don’t be afraid, be prepared to advance through knowledge.

Spiritually speaking your journey or path will open up, with more options, more information, you may simplify practices you carry out as your skill set is enhanced. You may add to your day to day routine by perhaps including a mini-meditation before and after work, by learning how to nurture your chakras. But you are on the right path, believe in yourself to be able to know which it is.

Did you know that the bat is the only flying mammal?!? I sort of did but was also amazed at that fact. (I did some reading up on bats when we got this card). Some say they are flying mice, and of course, there is the flying fox, a species of the bat family! Their lovely wings are strong enough to power them through the sky, yet so delicate with paper thin skin connected to their bones and muscles. And at their smallest, they can just about be seen shooting past my bedroom window, hunting for food. They are small but mighty!

Therein your message is, whatever your build, size and appearance, you can achieve powerful flight and be as successful in your hunting missions.

We had the neophyte last week and were students, the bat is also a symbol of learning, as our awareness is taken on a journey flying with the bat gathering information quickly, and keenly. Hearing rather seeing perhaps, listen out for information, a chance hearing of a song, will make you think about something, or prompt you into looking something up.

Consider also your relationship with the moon, and I’ve said this a few times, but I am an avid fan of it, work with the moon. Look up the moon cycles, and articles on working with lunar cycles, I may even pen one myself. But treat it as your guide, and illuminator of ideas and plans. For the bat is a creature who plays with the moon and stars.

Scorpio, how are you? Were you lurking around in the dark, waiting to declare that you have a plan? Or were you back in your office, reviewing your plans, ready for a later release date?

The card this week is saying the same, ‘Sssssssssssssssssssssh, be careful who you talk to’. I can just see you in your cloak, with a raven perched on your arm. But this bird will protect you from those who do not have the best of intentions. Look, they don’t mean you any deliberate harm. They are thoughtless rather than malicious. Whereas you are thoughtful.

But Scorpios are naturally careful and private, and woe betides anyone who abuses any trusts of confidence.

Not unlike the bat in Libra, Raven works to connect you to spirit guides who may work at a deeper level, to show you without judgement or test, what it is you need to know about a situation. It asks you to contemplate serious information that comes to light now.

The raven indicates very strongly that this is a time of cleansing and expunging, in order to make your load lighter, and create space for more learning.

Did you know that the Greeks felt that the raven was a messenger from the gods? Witches used them to go out on spying missions and report back to them. Which makes this is a time of trust, or having faith in your night visions. Do not question your dreams, just go with them. So, what do you have to do? Nothing but relax and accept what comes to you? When daylight comes your mind will be sharp and keen, ready to go.

As they used to say in a certain sci-fi show, ‘The truth is out there’, and Scorpio it’s coming to you, taking you out of a state of inertia and into a one of action and movement.

It is a stone that has a hole in the middle, naturally occurring, as a result of water erosion, and crashing against other stones on the water bed. Reiki healers use them to hone in energy, and attune to higher connections. You are being asked to do the same, heal, and connect to energy.

Your Soul Mate Tarot Spread: Discover Your Lover!

I love the Tarot because it is such a powerful tool, not just for looking at future trends appearing in our lives, but as a personal empowerment and discovery tool. The Tarot works as Guidance for the Soul, showing us the path we should be heading down, helping us uncover and work on our fears, and revealing

key information on people in and also who are about to enter our lives.

This technique I am about to share with you is all about discovering your soul mate – or more accurately, the next soul mate who is about to enter your life. However, before you embark on this exercise, please bear in mind that the term ‘soul mate’ applies to so many connections – not just a lover although people tend to think that this is exclusively what it means.

A soul mate can arrive in the form of a friend, a collaborator, a boss, a teacher or even an animal. Keep an open mind before you begin and understand the universe will send through the next soul mate that is appropriate for where you are in your journey right now.

Soul mates are those souls with whom we have an agreement to share certain experiences and work through certain lessons together. The time we spend together can range from a few weeks to an entire lifetime.

As usual with any Tarot exercise, disconnect your phone and ensure you won’t be disturbed. You can light candles, decorate your space with crystals and flowers, and put on ambient music if you like – this is your process and your soul-mate discovery time so make it special as the soul you are going to meet! Ensure you have your Tarot journal to hand to record your insights. Take out your Tarot deck and begin to shuffle it. As you do, say the following affirmation:

‘I am ready with an open heart and an open mind to attract and meet my next soul mate who forms the next stage our soul evolutionary journey together’.

 When you are ready, stop shuffling you deck. Lay it face down and cut it into three piles in any way you like, and then put the deck back together again in any order your want. Deal the top four cards face down with the first card at the top, the second at the bottom, the third on the left and the fourth on the right so you have a cross. When you are ready, turn up the card at the top of the spread.

Card 1: Your Next Soul Mate Challenge: This card reveals key information about the type of soul mate that is coming your way and also the soul contract or lessons you have agreed to share this lifetime.

Spend time with this card and really use your intuition to step outside of the usual interpretations attached to it. Yes, if it is a Court Card it will be telling you a lot about the type of person you are about to attract. But even if it is a Minor Arcana card, it is going to have a lot to say about your new soul connection. Write down your impressions and when you are ready, turn over the card at the bottom of the spread.

Card 2: Enter Your Soul Mate! The position of this card tells you a lot about how, where or when you will meet or encounter your soul mate. Remember, if an Ace turns up here they tend to mark seasons – Ace of Wands Spring, Ace of Cups Summer, Ace of Pentacles Autumn and Ace of Swords – Winter. These are marked by the equinoxes and solstices don’t forget. However, any card can provide you will clues to this so pay attention to background colours and what they suggest. Also, don’t forget in terms of timing your soul mate isn’t existing in a vacuum. They may have other soul contracts to complete or experiences to go through before they are ready to appear. Once you have recorded any insights that come to you, move on to the card on the left of the spread.

Card 3: What You Are Coming Together to Experience: This card will reveal a lot about the type of

relationship you and your soul mate have agreed to work through together. Remember to keep an open mind here especially if you do not pull a card like The Lovers or Two of Cups that seems particularly indicative of a romantic relationship. This card is more about soul lessons than actual form – which may be revealed to you both later or in the final card to the right:

 

Card 4: Your Connections Destination: This final card shows where you soul connection is ultimately headed based on where you and they are now. So, don’t despair completely if you were to pull a card like the 9 or 10 of Swords, for example. The entire purpose of this spread is to prepare you for your soul mate. If you are not happy with this card, go back and spend more time with Card 3 – what you are coming together to experience. By understanding this lesson properly you have the ability to change the outcome which is why you are doing this exercise in the first place. Knowledge is power and self-empowerment is what the Tarot is all about!

Also, don’t be afraid if you pull cards like Death or The Tower here either. Death represents change or transition and this can mean transiting from being single to being in a relationship, and The Tower represents something which is not built on a solid foundation being overthrow with the opportunity to build something lasting instead.

Record everything in your journal and refer beck to it when your soul mate makes an appearance and you will be amazed at how accurate your insights are and how well they can serve you when it comes to soulmate success!

Karmic relationship, soulmate or addiction?

Karmic Relationship – a relationship in which two souls are destined to meet in this life.

Relationships are our biggest challenge, as well as our biggest joy.   Above all things I believe our relationships, especially our love relationships, help to evolve our soul. Sometimes, however, it is these very relationships that imprison us or disempower us as we sell our souls for what we feel is love.

How can you tell if a relationship is a karmic relationship? Karmic relationships are all about growth, they help us transform and expand but sometimes this is done through challenge rather than joy or genuine love. Karmic relationships can often be awful and the lesson is to walk away and know your worth or they last for a short amount of time but of course at the time we never feel it’s that easy!

When we meet someone and fall in love it can be a powerful cauldron of emotions which can intoxicate us and take us away from our right mind. We feel as if we have known that person for eternity and something just clicks. Even if we see warning signs that the relationship might not be right our soul can feel hijacked by the need to experience the other. We can end up falling into an overwhelming addiction.

Our understanding of love is ingrained from the womb and beyond. When we are babies we are attuned to the love of our parents or carers.  If these carers do not give us a healthy love, an unhealthy love can feel very familiar even comfortable and right, especially if the person is initially charming. Our brain and our emotional responses are growing and we are learning all the time. As babies we formed neural pathways in our brain which coded our experience of love, when we meet this pattern (even if it is thinly disguised) in our later life we feel at home.

When we free ourselves of past patterns, value our unique soul and know that we deserve a joyful love we become beacons which draw likeminded souls towards us. Love should always be about freedom and adventure.

I filmed this video to expand on these ideas and ironically it was filmed when I had just fallen in love with my new partner who has brought me the greatest play and joy I have ever known!

Dear Wiccascopians,

I am writing this on a cold Sunday afternoon, tucked up in something warm and fleecy. I’ve Madame Butterfly on in the background, and a gallon of tea beside me.  A perfect afternoon.

I am really enjoying preparing and sharing these cards and their meanings, that apply to you.  Those of you who started the year running, will find things a little gentler, those who have had an easier slide into the year will be encouraged to start jogging along a bit now.  Nature’s true balance at work. If I really studied it from an expert’s point of view what I pick up on is the synchronicity of opposite signs, and the types of signs, air, water, fire, and earth, sharing similar cards sequentially. For these cards are hand drawn from a freshly cleansed and shuffled and reshuffled deck each week. So, there is something to be said for listening to what our guides say, when they want something said or done, they make it known.

From my Wiccan point of view, I’ve been taking stock of my environment, workspace, home and those around me.  That in itself has been very interesting, and a bit demanding.  With surges of energy, and zero energy.

For you all too I feel the message this week is also balance, by all means keep going forwards in your dreams, aims and goals, but take a packed lunch and drink with you, and blanket to rest on so you can take in the view whilst you go about it. This is not a race, and there’s no right or wrong way to be you, you just are simply you.

I will add on a final note, read the other cards meanings, for when I draw them, I feel they weave a story, and can tell us all a little something.  And at least help us understand our friends and family of those star signs. And we are made up of different aspects in our natal charts, so will strongly relate to other signs.  I am Aquarius rising, and Aquarius moon, so really resonate with those cards too.

The cord!  What is a cord?  Something that is made of a variety of materials, that binds things together, can be tied into a not, and form strong connections.  Whenever we meet someone, we send out invisible tentative cords, even if only know them for the shortest time.  In order to communicate with that person, that tethering sends signals and feelings to and fro.  For good and for bad.  When we end our physical association with that person, we are left with a memory of that time. However brief.  Depending on the kind of connection you formed and your viewpoint of it, versus the connection the other person formed by them and their view point. Some cords break instantly and painlessly.  Some not so, and that is where we have to carry out cord cutting rituals.

Another vital cord is the umbilical cord that sends us that essential life force in preparing us to be born.  The cauldron acts the womb for creation, thus the cord appearing now connects you to a cauldron and prepares you.  You will be nurtured with energy, and information that will help you prepare, connect and create.

It won’t be clear where you are going, it is a journey where you have trust that you are being guided in the right direction.  It will be exciting and new, so why would you not want to be a part of it?

What if you feel more scared than pleased about this? Embrace the power of the serpent, it’s courage and divergent thinking will help you ease your way into it. Work with both the serpent and the cord to release from the old, and tether to the new.

Please don’t panic there is nothing that you cannot cope with on its way to you, and there is light at the end of the tunnel.  This is a fabulous card to get, telling you that Capricorns you can do this.  Believe and know that you are in control, and are already set to start this very positive journey.

One of my favourite things to do when trying to be free to evolve and achieve.

Sit down please, or lay down, just focus on your gentle breathing.

Imagine you are sat on a boat, it’s your boat or ship, and you’ve just sailed or driven into a harbour for a bit of rest, and a pit stop. For you are on a journey in this vessel.

Just scan the people there with you, consider each one, in turn. In this realm, where this boat sails all the cords that bind you to them are lit up in neon colours, regardless of their material. Be it silk ribbon, rope, or the finest yet strongest spider thread.  Look at each one in turn, and consider your honest gut feelings for them, what binds you? Is it good or bad? 

You also have a golden pair of scissors with you. If you want to, all you have to do, [I say all, it’s actually a free will exercise, and could be bound by fear, or out-dated beliefs] is snip those cords.  When you are done reviewing your connections past and present, call for the life boat, and let those people disembark your ship and leave your memory bank, along with the negative feelings you had about them that were holding you back.

I admit this is a very difficult thing to do if the trauma of an event left a deep scar.  Someone very kindly advised me to keep at it and do some cleansing rituals as well. I will be doing this ritual with you.

You can repeat this until you feel cleansed and healed.

Think of the cone as a battery, or chakra power recharge unit. The cone you need now, will help heal a fresh issue.

‘Vitality’, is yours.  Feeling a little flat? Or tired? I would not be surprised if after this energised start to the year you do need to recharge. Ta dah, feel the healing energy.

The spider is a determined creature, they don’t give up.

I have spoken before of the Norse belief in the Web of Wyrd. A place where, things that will come to pass. They believed that the Norns had the job of weaving our fates and all other creatures into the Web of Wyrd.

Oh, Cancerians welcome to this week, with the Green Man giving you roots, stability and growth this year and the Cone of Power giving you such potent life force in order to do exactly what a tree should do.

Flourish, produce buds, flowers and bear fruit.  The card this week the Six Rayed Star relates in physicality to the tree, in that great balance is required now.  The tree has to have strong roots and core to bear its load, the star, comes along to give just that.

How is that juggling act you are doing going?  Put down the batons or balls, and stop.  First how much sleep are you getting? Are you making time to eat well and enjoy it?  Do you rest, socialize and work in the appropriate amounts? 

Make sure you are doing that if you can, look, it’s a real world and we all work hard at something, there are lots of demands on us, but you are being told to address the above energy distribution.

Take time again to reflect on the ying and yang aspects of you. What does the hormone testosterone do for or to you, it gives you the wings to flee, or the courage, or force to stand up for yourself or others.  Are you being assertive or aggressive? Temper the delivery of your responses if so.

Perhaps the opposite applies you just can’t deal with drama’s and want to hide until it’s all over. Don’t worry, balance is here, less fear or caution or more faith in yourself to say what you have to say and do what you have to do.

Then work your way around the points with 6 positive factors that are going to help you achieve it.  I.E Sleep, Eat, Play.

Leo dear lion, so nice of you to come here. Well you were linking into and disconnecting from associations that no longer help you or were any good for you. With the full moon build up too it was an apt card for you, bringing everything to a head, and a wolf moon eclipse may have left you feeling the full force of unresolved issues.  Along with your Year card 2019, the mighty serpent telling you that it’s about production, wisdom and your sexuality. 

Hopefully you have a real sense of who you are now and what it is that you want to do.

Are you ready some work now? The cards have been kind or gentle, but now drill sergeant sword is here to say sit up, let’s go.  It’s holistic work out time. Which you are being helped with by the Sword.

Imagine you’re in the court of King Arthur, in your armour, with your sword and shield to help in your endeavours.

Linking into the tarot’s sword suit deck, it speaks of action through communication, swiftness and being in the now. No more dwelling on what was, but focussing on change.  So, whether you identify with the Ace, King, Queen of swords, or Knight of swords, the delivery is the same in varying amounts according to age and personality. With a touch as light air, or the ability to cut through air with your sword. This is you right now. Slick and wasting no time.

However.

So please compassionate with less driven people in your life, throw in a little patience too.

I’d add one thing of my own bit of special advice here, this card gives you all this energy, as does the snake, and the cord made some big changes for you. 

Take some time out every day to just breath, reflect and see how well you are doing. Because you are doing well. Making changes so deftly can take it out of you

I changed the activity that normally goes so well with this card, because it’s so akin to cutting old ties with your cord card, well it could be too much to do in a fortnight. So, I think that whilst you are making all these great changes, and creating your future you should do just what I said right above there.

If the weather allows, get outside and find a pointed stick, or branch.  If you have sword, toy or real, take that.

Go out and find a spot of ground, with either sand, soil, or even snow/soft ice, and make out patterns in it.  Notice how you make your mark you’re your sword connects to the surface, what pattern do you make?  What words do you write.  Don’t over think it, play like a child would, making the mark on unblemished ground.

Virgo – Well hello! You’re focussed, empowered and connected yes! Or not quite yet? Don’t worry, for you’ve planted the seeds and I said by autumn you will feel like a different person.  Stronger, with knowledge you thought you’d never have, and self-belief and confidence of a calm and gathered nature.

This week’s card is the familiar.  Is there a creature you really connect with, are they via a spiritual connection or earthly one?  Really take time out to talk to this creature now, build on the strong connection you already have with them, listen to what they have to say.

Purrrrrrfect!  My cats are sat with me so I had to put that, they are so attune with spiritual light working energy. A powerful friend to have around, a guide, a guard, confidant, friend.  A familiar helps you to connect to energy that promotes healing, and they emit their own vibrant magical energy. I was born with pets to welcome me, and hate for my home to be without them.

Let’s talk love, social connections and associations, the world needs you in it, and to be an active universal part of it. 

I will use my tree analogy again, as it’s so adaptable and especially apt here.

The world is the earth, a place to put your roots, allow your trunk to be fed from the feet up to your head, if you hold your arms out wide and open, you have branches on which to grow boughs to bear your life story.  As you grow, you attract insects to pollenate your tree, to grow more branches. 

Figuratively speaking, when you are connecting to others you are adding branches and boughs to your tree. Look after it, nurture it, let it grow and know people want to grow with you. They want to be part of your world, and you a part of theirs.

If you perhaps felt it was time to get a pet, it may be a whisper that it’s time.

To sum up then, reach out, accept friendship, love support.

Make a point of saying hello to people who pass your way, or smiling at them.  If neighbours stop to say hello and have a chat, get to know them, you may have more in common with them than you thought. You may resolve a dispute that has gone on too long.

Make lunchtimes at work a social time, turn off your phone, and talk to your colleagues. Smile down the phone at people, feel the warmth of a genuine friendly hello.

Librans lots of blessings to you.  The Neophyte confirms this hot on the tail of the book of shadows, more learning, more skills more pondering.  Aradia takes us back to relearn karmic lessons, and the book of shadows says here’s few ideas on how to do it, chart it and mark its progress.

Also hot on the tails of our neighbour Virgo, who had this the week before, and if you’re a cusp like me you’ll be thinking this ain’t no coincidence.  So also like them by the autumn, we will no longer students but beginners of a new craft or knowledge.  That doesn’t mean we can’t continue to learn but our first sense of passing and achieving will manifest around our birthdays.

I am feeling very buoyed by this, and ready to go, if not a little uncertain how to do it, but almost ready to take that leap of faith.  Is this our Fool card in tarot, or The Wheel of Fortune?  Mmmm.  If you identify with this, the key to is, be clear, and learn what we need.  And don’t give up.

At the end of last year, did you find yourself with deeper connections in your life? Were you learning new things, and at meaningful levels?   Clarity, or illumination gives you the information or little hints to steer you along your path.

I had a very sobering lesson this week, and someone I respect very much gave me the right advice at the right moment.  And I think what I did to resolve that issue, would help you, if you bear with me.

The words used were, ‘Be your own Personal Assistant’.  Imagine there’s another version of you, with a to do list, a sharp eye, and attention to detail. Let that side of you take a 2nd and 3rd look at the issues you are dealing with and how you are dealing with them.  If you are avoiding a difficult issue because it upsets you or other factors are putting you off, your other self [P.A] will guide you, for the Neophyte student, needs someone to steer them.  And we all need a mentor or teacher sometimes too.

Scorpios, hello I love your cards for this year so far, all that love, healing and nurturing you are getting, I hope!

Is the combination of the first two cards helping you with your progress this year? Give it time, you have plenty of it. Now, another gentle and somewhat mysterious card is drawn to you.   The Cloak, a more tangible and earthbound card I feel, it is an item in wiccan that is practical having mental and magical properties.  This is yours to keep now, store it safely, wear it well, and use it wisely. How? My film geek is now seeing Dr Strange and his flying cloak.

My partner and I are going to a festival in the summer, and we always do fancy dress, and we are buying cloaks this year.  Both of us have very different ideas of our cloaks.  His is black, and very shrouding, mine is hopefully purple with a red velvet lining, and massive hood.  The characters we are playing are very different.

Either way we will be disguised, until we reveal our masks, and costumes.  When it’s cold we’ll be warm late into the night.  All this in the name of festival fun, and getting more for us out of the experience.

How does that relate to you? Very significantly!  The fact that we do this harks back to a time when our predecessors wore them as an everyday item of clothing, or by monks and other religious orders. A cloak can present quite a looming image, but the cloak being offered to you now, comes with love and goodwill, nothing but goodness with shine out from any gaps in the fabric. And know you are protected.

Think very carefully why you may need a cloak or disguise. Are your plans really ready to be shown? Or do you have to keep your secrets, however exciting hidden a little longer? You may need to slow down to wait for others.

Watch out for idea thieves. Don’t gossip, or use your influence or conversation to swing favour your way, for it could backfire. Hiding in the dark whispering could hurt others, and potentially yourself.

Activity

If you have a special blanket, or throw you like to huddle yourself in, snuggle up in it somewhere warm, safe and quiet. Or put on your favourite jumper or cardigan or wrap.

Sit and think about your purpose, note how you warm and protected from the elements, your body is hidden from the world, whilst you envisage you your dreams and plans.

This helps you relax, and just feel in the moment safe and potent with ideas yet to be revealed.

Psst wakey wakey… your life now needs your full attention and maybe some of the people in your life need your attention. The bell ringing or tolling, could be calling time on certain aspects of your life, and introducing new ones in their place.

Jobs, business opportunities and career changes.  A wedding bell rings somewhere heralding romance or deepening romance with commitment.

Stronger in yourself, in all your senses, energised and readier than ever to take action at the ring of the bell.  Get, set, go!

The ringing of a bell sounds the need to listen your guides and consider your connections, who is in your life? Who should be that aren’t and who is that shouldn’t be?  Sent a text asking how someone is, you could make their day.  Don’t waste time trying to connect with those who are not as genuinely invested in the relationship as you are.

This is a card of communication.

Activity

Look at the friends list on your social media, or in your phone contacts list.

Who makes the effort with you, that you enjoy, but you aren’t making the same effort with them?  Show them you care too.

Who has been trying to get your attention, but you don’t want to reciprocate? It’s time to cut those ties if you wish.

Who doesn’t make an effort with you, and the balance needs to be restored by more assertive communication on your part?  Communicate your feelings on this, saying calmly that you feel you deserve better. Find your own words to politely state your case.

Address those issues, and restore balance.
