Those of you who follow this page will know that Michele has written some fantastic articles about the moon, which I find very interesting. Those who are Wiccascopians, will know not a week goes by when I say, ‘And if you attune to the lunar cycles’, things will flow more easily. Well, with that in mind I put together an oracle reading for each star sign, asking for messages from a moon oracle deck.

I’ve pulled a card from the deck, tuning into my guides and asking the question, ‘Can we have a card for Leo (etc) to guide them into how to work with the Moon’.

Aquarius – New Moon in Virgo

Lovely Aquarius hello, your moon card tells you others may need your help at this time, it’s time to be there for them. The New Moon in Virgo refers to the need to restore some direction in your life, by pausing to take a breath and carrying out an audit.

Taking into consideration the following things: your health, your career and/or financial situation, your abode, your social network, and your romantic life. The key question here is are you honestly happy with the way things are in those areas? If not, its time make some changes.

This is also a sign of achieving success so far in what you have done, so it’s ok to take a rest, and review how well you have done, and consider what you need to do to continue this good work. You will have enough time freed up to help others who look to you for guidance. For there is an air of wisdom about you also.

If you feel stuck, and I know that is a horrible feeling, it’s frustrating, but this moon phase suggests that this block can be overcome. It may be the case that you are being a little tough on yourself, or you are too close to your situation to see just how well you’ve done. Step back, and take in the view. You will feel more positive after.

A New Moon in Virgo offers you a fresh structured, uncomplicated framework to work with, and as the moon waxes or grows, you will notice increasing signs of success. Be sure that you dot the ‘I’s’ and cross the ‘t’s’, but don’t be tempted to over think things.

There is something karmic about this card, it says that by giving, unconditionally at this time, you will relax by focusing on others, your own plans will flow more easily and you could potentially be rewarded financially.

Pisces – New Moon Leo

Pisces, I pulled out the New Moon in Leo for you. The key message for you here is thinking like the king of the jungle, belief in yourself with buzzwords like courageous, bold, magnificent, and gregarious! Watch out the world. This force of nature is one that can’t be hidden, so good luck trying. If you’ve been hiding away, you’re being told have some pride and know you’re fabulous so work it!

You are not just looking good on the outside, you are connected to your inner self, and glowing from the inside out. You can’t help but be noticed and don’t be surprised if you find you have a new admirer. It’s also a time to be a little self-indulgent, as it’s a time of reward for the efforts you made recently in your life.

A new phase comes in for you with a new moon, and as that moon grows, like the new moon above in Virgo, so will your new-found confidence. If you had designs on someone, now may be a good time for them to notice you, for this is a card of potential synchronicity. Good luck. You still have to make the effort though.

If when you are working on a project that requires artistic flair, imagination, or creative thinking, there’s a very good chance of it succeeding and you will see it grow as the month. This is also a great message if you’re asking about a creative project you’re working on. Alternatively, it can herald good news, or a fresh start, for younger people in your life.

This card heralds the start of a new cycle for you when you’re going to look and feel more gorgeous, more in the spotlight, more like you have something worth showing off. If you want someone’s attention the card says, ‘It’s coming!’ However, this may not happen all by itself. You have to be willing to do your bit – that means being proud of who you are and what you have to offer. Think of yourself as the King or Queen of the Jungle, and carry yourself accordingly. This is also a great omen if you’re asking about a creative project you’re working on, like a moon waxes, so should it’s potential.

Aries – The Full Moon in Sagittarius The grand scheme of things

Aries this card asks to recall your quest and to push back the broaden your horizons. Your prompts are pleasure, amusement, and excitement. You are about to go out on a journey, to unfamiliar places. Some journeys may strike fear into you, but not this one, you are ready to explore your world.

This card implies you may have got stuck or distracted by the minute details, you don’t need to worry so much about them.

By looking at the bigger picture you find you’ll have more options. This also implies that travel for pleasure is a possibility, it could be holiday time. When we get back to it, we are refreshed, ready and inspired by our time out.

This could also be a sign that in being distracted, or goal orientated, you may have taken your attention away from your loved ones. Reconnect with them, go on holiday with someone you love.

Were you diverted to other projects? Or did other issues in your life take over? They were necessary at the time, and it was time well spent, but you may feel some release from that. Even if by nature you are a confident soul, you may not be feeling it at this time, you are being told that the key to your success is your own, brilliant inner confidence. Be wary of exuberance.

In your communications, you may find yourself feeling bold and maybe a little out-spoken, check you are being true to yourself but not fiery.

In closing the final advice with this card is that being over analytical will only get you stuck. Or have you only been thinking about what you intend to do, rather than setting out and actually doing it?

Something may have held you back, you may have needed guarantees of success or those distractions I mentioned above side tracked you.

There is a little bit of risk involved in setting out on these journeys, but you’ve made the plan, got the ideas, and the excitement will outweigh the risk.

Taurus – Void-of-Course Moon

Taurus please don’t worry about the negative tone of this card, its main message is, whatever path you are on now, is not likely to succeed at this time or you need to review your thinking on it. But firstly, what is a Void-of-Course Moon? It happens when the Moon doesn’t connect strongly with any planets until it enters the next astrological sign. As Aries was told it is time for a time-out, the same applies to you, but to seek a place of calm and peace, to just gently rest.

This is a time for surrendering yourself to whatever faith, or belief system you follow. Going to that place of inner peace, and seeking refuge in private thought. If I were to get this card, I would take time out, do some yoga, meditation, and get back to nature.

Even if you have seen the signs of something, or someone leaving your life, a job, or a relationship that may have struggled, and you fear it will be over. If this is the case, and it could be, know that the potential for a better opportunity awaits. It’s one of those tough messages or mixed blessings that says you are getting what you need, that in the end will be better for you. And you will feel happier.

Avoid making decisions at this time, don’t be hasty, i.e. don’t hand your notice in at work, allow developments to pan out. Avoid complicated discussions, or signing important paperwork, ask for a time of waiting if you can, for this period won’t last long.

If you were fearing the worst with this, this could also be good news for you, a difficult time will be passing too, and things will not be as bad as you thought they were.

There is a strong element of free will here, you do have control at this time. Look at what and how you are dealing with a situation, and be really honest with yourself. Is it realistic? And know you can change your course of action, or review your expectations of it.

Gemini – The Full-Moon in Libra

Gemini a warm welcome, oh with this moon card I can say your message is about give and take, ‘Happy me = Happy you!’ The scales of balance call you to the connections in your relationships. I.e. are you receiving as much as you give to others or vice-versa? It’s time to say ‘yes’, or ‘no’, to someone who wants an answer. You will know what to say if you go with the natural flow of the moon as it begins is waning, releasing phase.

With regard to relationships and any challenging situations within them, think ‘pink’, think universal love! You will find some common ground by communicating for greater understanding. Some of you may find yourselves, going through your wardrobe, or getting a haircut and feeling naturally inclined to review your diet and lifestyle, just be wary of your reasons for it, your ego may feel a bit too much of a boost as a result.

Libran’s are big on relationships, and this full moon represents a fledgeling relationship is developing. This can be positive or, potentially not so much the case. A relationship that may have run its course could come to a natural ending. If a relationship has run its course, don’t cling onto it this the right time for release from it. This could also apply to a work-related connection.

With good communication, give and take, all parties in this scenario will come away feeling satisfied.

Cancer -The Full Moon in Capricorn

Hello Cancer, good news there is light at the end of the tunnel! there is a very strong career/work principle and energy linked to this card if you feel it relates more to the personal side of your life the message will be at a pragmatic level.

Either way, if you are feeling stranded it is time to walk past any negative feelings that may hold you back, such as fear, and vulnerability. It’s a gentle way of saying, this is not the time to feel sorry for yourself but to take a business-like approach to resolve it.

While this is a great card in that you are being told, ‘Yes you can do this’, you will have to be part of the process, and it may mean putting the hours in, and will be a bit of a slog. Try to do so naturally, and don’t micromanage every single point, believe in yourself and the universal opportunity at this time. It will be worth it.

As I mentioned above, this, for the most part, relates to work, there is a warning that a matter in this area could peak now. Your instincts may guide you to make significant career changes, perhaps even leaving for another job. This won’t be difficult for you to do, for the changes you make now will be positive.

The key message here asks how badly do you want something? And what are you willing to do? Remember my key phrase in my Wiccascopes, ‘Be kind’, don’t tread on anyone in achieving your ambitions. Also, in being kind, take a little look at your work-life balance. The last thing you need to know with this card is don’t let anxiety get the better of you.

Leo – New Moon in Cancer

Hello Leo, welcome to your Moon card reading, your neighbour Cancer has very kindly sent their new moon your way and this card is about family members young and old, and all those you hold dear. It can also be a time of heightened emotions in yourself and around you. Cancer is as an emotional watery sign, anyway and also a ‘home’, oriented sign, along with Taurus in astrology

There is a sense of positivity around family at the moment, and they may need you. If you have been absent, physically or emotionally, reconnect with them, do something together this week. Your absence may have been noticed by others as well, have you kept a friend at arm’s length? Let them in a bit more.

If you have been feeling a bit wobbly or lacking in confidence, make some time for yourself, to gather your thoughts, and to think positively in order to boost your self-esteem. Do this by a stream, or by the sea, by connecting to the water, and focussing on it, you connect with your emotional self and can retune your thinking from negative to positive.

With any new moon reading there’s the implication of fresh or new starts coming in for you and potentially people around you, it can mean changing the place where you live.

Good news for you if you are hoping to take a personal relationship further, your connection with them will deepen, and you should have courage in yourself in this relationship.

It’s also a time be kind to yourself, and look after yourself more, and yes, it’s o.k to have your own dreams and plans, ignore that little voice that says ‘I can’t’. It’s wrong, you can.

Virgo – Gibbous Moon

Virgo you have drawn the Gibbous Moon, yes you’re very close to achieving your goal. What is a gibbous moon? It’s almost a Full Moon, so it’s big. I see it at the 11th hour in timing.

time is almost upon the waxing of the moon, and the 11th hour in projects or situations you’re involved in.

There’s perhaps a sense of last-minute checks before it’s time to step back and see what the results are.

There may be a feeling of pressure around as you look at the clock ticking away, but with a clear focus, a steady pace and the knowledge that you’re nearly there, know that it will be o.k. Rather than add anything to what you are doing, this is your final edit, your review, where you are doing final checks.

Thinking of starting something new? This is a great time, for you will have accumulated all your information, and it’s a ripe time to proceed with it. It may include looking at improving your healthcare routine, your diet and lifestyle.

Libra – New Moon Eclipse

Hello Libra, anything that is happening to you or around you now is happening for the best, and time of great of powerful change for you.

New Moon Eclipses are pretty thrilling in astronomy and astrology. Any questions you are asking, are being answered with a very loud ‘Yes!’ You are you are whizzing off, full of determination, but maybe in the wrong direction and at the wrong speed.

There are a crossroads ahead, you need to stop at it, and take the road you need to be on. This is meant to be, so go with the flow.

That crossroads may have an option for you to dwell in the past, your life is changing every day, you are growing every day. Go forward with this growth.

Even if there is not a New Moon Eclipse at the time of this reading, it’s meaning still applies. Particularly if you are wondering about the outcome of your dreams, then potentially your desired outcome is achievable, so don’t hold back on starting something new. You are being urged to do it.

With this little push forwards, with such power and energy, the pace can gather, and there are bumps in the road, but it leads to a better outcome than the one you are heading for now.

Scorpio – Full Moon in Scorpio

Scorpio what are the chances of this, your own full moon, in a card reading. If you’ve been feeling paranoid and acting weird take this card as a very direct message from the cosmos to stop it! Let it go, let it go!

You may find yourself feeling very emotional, so in your case, you’re a Scorpio, this is a Full Moon in Scorpio card. This can be overwhelming, but also if you are aware of it, incredibly powerful in my opinion. Find an outlet for it, channel such energy into something creative, art, writing, music, whether you paint, write or play, or appreciate other’s efforts in this field. Release that energy into something you can enjoy doing.

The tricky bit to deliver with this moon card’s message is if you were feeling mistrustful, and it’s affected your behaviour, it’s time to stop. Why because you’re over worrying, and it’s not how things are. You are just incredibly sensitive and not seeing things clearly.

Let go of the negative thoughts that have steered you into that way of thinking, and let go of the someone who made you feel like it. I refer back to the idea of finding a creative release, there’s a lot to be said for journal therapy or art therapy.

Sagittarius – Full Moon in Virgo

The Full Moon in Virgo is a time to declutter your life, home and workplace. You can do this! It’s apt timing as we’re preparing for spring, and this the card of spring-cleaning. Declutter and do it with feeling, and be strong enough to eject anything that no longer serves for your own good. This also applies to bad lifestyle habits you need to address, yes health and diet feature again, but this is a Virgoan moon reading, and restoring order is important to Virgo.

I speak about taking baths in my Wiccascopes, this card also speaks of healing baths, getting back to nature, or maybe a paddle in the sea whilst you contemplate your fate. In reconnecting to nature, we’re talking clean eating and drinking more water.

What made you question your self-worth? Humility is commendable, a nice quality to have, but don’t compromise yourself. You can do so with quiet dignity, safe in the knowledge that you are worthy. So yes, you can do what you set out to do, it won’t be the easiest of journeys but with the effort and confidence, you will be able to get there.

It’s ok to have a good eye for detail. Just make sure it’s moderated and you aren’t being over thorough.

Wiccascopians, old and new I bid you all a very hearty welcome to my reading. I am aware I just sounded like a pirate witch there. Throw in an, ‘’Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum”, and we’re set.

How was your week all of you? Cold and snowy if you’re my side of the globe. I’ll admit, I am looking forward to February, it’s not January’s fault, it has to follow December, and has some very important jobs to do. But I do crave some lighter evenings. I love this betwixt time of midwinter, more sunshine, lightning days, and cosying up by my fire.

My week has been about new ideas and music in a nutshell. My brain has been going, ‘Ping, ping, ping’, like a microwave this week. And I’ve been digging out old c.d’s for when I sit and write. This week was David Bowie, I won’t wax on too long about him, but suffice to say he’s one Capricorn genius I really miss.

Your activity, another group one, I feel it can be applied to all of our readings.

Go through your music collection and don’t over think it, please just go with your gut. Pick one artist. Again, without overthinking it, pick one c.d. I’m going with Fleetwood Mac this week. My song is the above one, just because I love it.

Then put it on, clear a space, don’t sit down unless you have to, but find a space. Dance to your song, sing to your song, forget whatever else is going on just for as long as that song plays. Enjoy. And pick another if you are then in the mood for your own musical session. If you can’t get up and dance about, sing it, tap the beat out. But really connect to the music. Oh, it’s the dawning of Aquarius, the cheerful bell rang, sounding your very own alarm clock, was it eventful? This was about you finding things out, making your voice heard, and maybe talking to people you have lost touch with. I really hope it was a good week for you. We’re in for another week of February birthdays, my dear old Pa included! Enjoy.

This week you have the wise and lovely Crone!! She is marvellous. The matriarch, or grandmother. Being older and wiser she is really worth listening to, it may be there is an older female in your family who, whether you like it or not, has something to say. There is an elder female’s pearl of wisdom winging its way to you right now.

Ironic no, that we’ve just have Imbolc? And Caileach, the old crone of winter, is around us, clinging desperately to what’s left of her season. Well, this Crone says move over Caileach! Go and have your rest. (I don’t know where she goes by the way, to other hemispheres maybe?)

The Crone suggests the following to you Aquarius, think about your personal development, evolution and any changes you need to make. It is better not to fight necessary change, for as I said above you’ve grandmother crone wagging her finger at you to do so.

Still referring to seasonal change, why not see if you can go at the pace of spring and step away from your fireplace, and cosy bolt hole, and break free! You will also get a sense of being taken ‘off grid’, this means use gadgets less, look at your worldly connections. Go back a little in time, when things were simpler, and there was less stress around you. No, don’t go back indoors to do this, just don’t get caught up in the humdrum of work, media and drama.

Look into your own self, your inner child. Ask if they are happy? Are they being listened to? Did their dreams for you as an adult come true? As an adult are you using your inner child’s potential wisdom?

Cut those ties that hold you back, be kind though please. And go forth with a less shackled self.

Oh, Hello Pisces, it’s so good to see you back where you belong! (My nan was a Pisces, and, ‘Hello Dolly’, was her song to me). Did the delightful Shekinah help you connect to the higher realms in order to get the necessary wisdom to move on through your plans and dreams? Stick with her, as once you’ve befriended her, she never strays, and always watches over.

Please be upstanding now for The High Priest! For he has an important message for you. He is here to look after you, he stands by your side and tells you that by applying what you know, you can do it. Believe in yourself. The possibilities here are boundless. Beware your ego though, for by being supported by such strong energy and self-belief you could come across as highbrow or aloof.

The High Priest has the job in Wicca of assisting the High Priestess during ceremonies, and rituals and is described as being an elder. They are someone in authority and will be mature and have accumulated wisdom through experience and life learning. This too represents someone in your life who will be offering you help, support and wisdom. If you have a problem you need advice with, you are being guided to seek out a father figure, or male in authority that you respect.

You also need to protect that which you hold important to you and be your own guardian. You will be moving on from your current ways of doing things, perhaps even finding yourself looking to set up your own business or being offered a promotion. If you are feeling frustrated at work, under-used or feel ready for a challenge, it may be time to call a meeting with a manager or senior person to express your personal development. Prepare your case, with evidence of your efforts and the results achieved.

Whatever you do this is a time of believing in yourself, have courage!

Big hugs to you Aries, the year has been pretty tough so far for the Aries people in my life. I hope that last weeks card, The Spell, help reduce the impact of that. And you were able to find words to help you work through situations.

This week you have The Crystal Ball, it will feel like you went to the opticians and were given some super strong lenses and can see things very clearly now. You will also find your own intuition feeling sharper and more attuned. Your third eye may need recharging, but once you do so you will find your psychic visions will become stronger.

If you think about a crystal ball, do you imagine the clear glass ball, over which a fortune teller would wave her hands after you’ve crossed her palm with silver? Let’s bust some myths, images do not asuch appear in the crystal ball itself, it is used as a scrying tool, where the 3rd eye is stimulated to see. For the most part, the visions come via the mind’s eye, or later on through the day as daydreams that are so powerful, that you have to take notice. And for your night dreaming to take on extra power and potency. Keep a dream journal on your bedside table.

You will be able to see the truth in situations, pull back from the nitty gritty of the day to day if you can, and let your mind wander beyond.

Aries remember those plans you made at the beginning of the year? Well they are on their way to be realised now. You will be able to see how they manifest, and you may be tweaking things here and there, but you can make it happen.

Do what you feel is the right thing for you. Your new sight and insight will help you do this.

The Lady – Incarnation, epitome, liberation

Hello Taurus folk, wasn’t he helpful The Horned God? There were some big shifts in the Taureans I knew. I was a bit flabbergasted at the way they were really trying reconnect to their roots, and evaluating their lives. Without any prompting from anyone else. I hope you felt this energy was useful, and your time was just as productive.

Hot behind him, we have The Lady, and she is a lady as well. Dignified, of stature, high standards, and she has very potent energy required in rituals. Of which we have just had one, so perhaps the lady we refer to here is Brighid, who featured during the Imbolc Festival, as the Wiccan association with this card, matches the Celtic association.

Both ladies, and other female deities you may link into to at this time are sending you the message that this is a time of transition, Imbolc is about roots taking firmly into the ground, from seeds planted back in at the start of Winter, enabling the plants to stand strong as they grow up through the ground.

Early seasonal plants are already here, I’ve snowdrops dotted around my garden, people will now be on the lookout for Daffodils. Such is the case for your plans and dreams, you are half way there with them. You’ve worked hard, now make the most of warmer, longer days creeping in, and by the time April gets here, your seeds and ideas will be visible to the world.

The metaphors here are for the development of your self, professionally, domestically, romantically and especially holistically. Embrace this new life force in your veins work with it, and at the same time do a little reality check.

This fits in with Imbolc and the moon; The full moon’s energy brought with it a sense of completion, of all of your efforts this past month. First, it dishes out the results of those efforts. Good and bad. So that sense of feeling full up and having no more room to deal with anything else will pass. Any pressure will release, like air coming out of a balloon. What you are left with is your current truth.

Who, and what is left? What are you most strongly aware of? If you left a job or were thinking about it, how is that feeling now? There should be a state of calm and peace about it. If a relationship took a sudden development, what is it like now? Some of your connections will feel so much closer and happily so, you will be giving thanks and celebrating. Some will have been released if they no longer worked for you.

If someone broke away, and your new truth is to let them go. Use the space they left to connect with someone worthier of you, or more on the same page and in the same moment as you. Allow yourself some healing time. This in the long run is a positive outcome! I know it won’t feel like it now if it was sad for you, but the lady sends you oodles of healing and says rest at this time. The sense of loss felt, will lessen as the moon wanes, then a new waxing moon will replace any loss with hope, strength and potential.

She asks you to be strong, and believe in yourself, for you are good enough, more than. You are the best version of yourself, and now you can use that strength to move on! Bravo!

Hello, Gemini’s fancy a cuppa? I’ve just made some hot chocolate and wished I had a biscuit to go with it. I bet your cloak was lined or thermal wasn’t it, but not a bad outfit to wear in this cold weather. Did you find it a sanctuary or secret spot to hide in? Did it give you the space to hold off sharing your secrets and ambitions with the world until you were really, really ready?

Next, up for I am pleased to introduce you to Aradia! I may have said before I like Lord of The Rings films, I always think of Galadriel, played by Cate Blanchett. She was the unofficial Elf Queen, and guardian of Golden Wood, who came to hobbits, elves and travellers alike, to give them wisdom, advice and protection.

Aradia, the beautiful Pilgrim, travels with you now, overseeing you on your way through your journey.

Imagine you are a hobbit, or whatever Tolkien traveller you wish to be. I like the elves best, but you can be whatever you want. This quest you started, whether it was in January, last year, or a very long time ago, is one with old connections, it has roots in your past, even a past life. Note how Frodo inherits Bilbo’s guardianship of The Ring.

Both Aradia and Galadria mirror back to you what is already in you, to carry out your own journey. And they ask you to look at how you see yourself ‘fitting’, in work, family and social dynamics. Read the following quote from Lord of The Rings.

When you look at yourself in your interactions with others do you become a version of yourself to please them, to avoid conflict? If they all met you together, and you were being your true self, would they all be a bit confused about what or who they were seeing?

By all means, tailor your conversation to aid communication with those you meet, but always be true to yourself.

Greetings from me here in my throw trying to feel my toes. I write your card up as I have just been making my snowcat. Fun, but nice to be back in here. As your neighbour above you now has Aradia, she leaves you, having guided you through last week, and leads you closer to realising your potential. With Imbolc, it was appropriate you had a lovely lady guiding you, as Brighid guides us all into Spring. Who is next for you?

The Familiar walks towards or beside you this week! We’re talking support, friendship, teamwork and feeling connected to other beings. A way to look at this is to imagine you are walking to work, or the shops for example, and you may be finding the outside world a bit daunting, your projects and plans may be a little bit stuck. Or you don’t know who to trust and be wondering why someone is behaving towards you in an odd manner and it unsettles you.

A good time to review who is in your circle of support, your gut will tell you who is genuine and comes with an unconditional connection, and those who have their own agenda or seek for you to do things their way.

I’m always aware when this card comes up that not everyone feels connected to friends or feels like they have the opportunity to create good contacts in life, love, and work. So, I’d like to share this with you. I spent some time after a break-up suddenly alone, in a new location, feeling insecure, lacking confidence and locked myself away. I really do understand how isolation feels. But with a lot of courage, I made one friend, as a result of getting a voluntary job, (I was unemployed also), from that contact I developed a new small social life, that lead to hearing about which local company was the best to work for, and yes after a year I found love. I was happy to be working, and socializing, I used my home alone time to heal myself. I was terrified doing this by the way, but once I took that deep breath and said, ‘Hello do you have any roles available?’ to someone who is now a very dear friend I’d broken the cycle.

You can do this too, make a call, get out if you can.

Take it one baby step at a time.

The familiar is also potentially a creature in your life, either in other realm forms, or actual pet form. Call me Noah, but I’ve had most pets, aquatic, avian (an African Grey parrot), feline, canine, and small furries too! My connection to each of them over the years has been deep and committed, and I felt protected and loved by all. Even by Jon Bon Jovi the 21-year-old Gold Fish, oh the secrets he kept!

A familiar also serves to alert you when you need to be aware of a difficult situation coming in, fear not they will rally round after barking or squawking, and stick close by to guard you.

On the last note, a friend may need you at the moment, so make yourself available to them, listen, don’t judge, and be unconditional in your love for them.

Leo

The Wizard – ‘Spiritual Perfection’, self

Roarrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Oh, mighty lions many blessings to you! Was Nemesis, in the end, a good ally to have? It’s a tough card to get, because not only do you have face up to and accept what is not good for you, but potentially in standing up for yourself, risk removing it. It will be worth it. If you are struggling with this still, it’s worth chipping away at it, at a pace you are happy with.

Who should casually seat themselves beside you without invitation, but by the assumption that you need them in your life right now, but The Wizard?

You won’t mind him just pulling up a chair, and saying ‘Excuse me, I think you need my help right now, now let’s begin’. By the way with him you don’t really get an option, he’s not a bully, he’s just patiently insistent, and in no hurry to leave you. You may as well say, ‘O.K Wizard, I’m listening’.

This is a male card, wizards are only male, though I don’t know what modern standards would say on this, and males can also be witches, (for witches are not always female). But wizards are not superior to witches, just different.

They don’t have covens or circles, are very independent, and self-sufficient. I also feel they create an extra sense or aura of mystery about them, don’t you? They are not all the same by any stretch of the imagination, I will refer to, ‘Lord of the Rings’, (again, as I am a bit of a geek about Tolkien).

There are 3 wizards in it, Gandalf the Grey/White, Saruman, and Radagust. Gandalf very rarely was, ‘seen’ to use magic, it was more his knowledge and wisdom, of knowing where to go, where not to go, what to do and just what to say at the right time. But he could see the truth in situations, and allowed free will to be exercised by his companions. Saruman, turned evil, in search of power, and wanting to rule Middle-earth, he used his magic, which seemed to be more powerful, in all the wrong ways. Radagust was at first appearance clumsier and more chaotic, but he was fighting to protect and save the wildlife of Middle-earth, his heart was in the right place.

When you get such a wizard appear you are being told, that you have such potential in you. You feel in certain areas of your life that you are the leader, the head of your household, if you live alone, are you fiercely independent? At work you are seriously skilled at your job or business, or very experienced, it’s time for this to be realised and for you to be noticed.

You will feel yourself standing taller, sounding firmer in your tone of voice, avoiding trivial gossip, and just wanting to get things done. Few words may be spoken, you are about calm, determined, and yes dignified action. I.e in meetings you will say in one sentence, what another takes half an hour to say, but still carry as much weight in your words. People will be wanting to hear what you have to say, your ideas are good, there is an authority in your conviction.

Great, you say what could go wrong? Remember others may not have your sharp mind, or eloquent tongue right now. But it doesn’t mean what they are trying to say is dismissable, and there is nothing they can offer you. On the contrary, it’s a time to remember that old phrase, ‘there’s no I in team, but I am part of one’.

If you have been sidelined for a promotion or job, please know you were good enough, but perhaps they were looking for other attributes too, i.e team playing ethics etc. I’m not saying you don’t have them, of course, you do, you’re a Leo, golden-maned beast, your independence may need reigning it just a little.

Run your own business or own projects? Great, time to be noticed, but also be kind to those around you who actually like it when you open up.

Love ah love, be sure that there is balance, who is leading who? Step in time! Single? Its time be brave for you have the right words and dignity to use in approaching the person you like.

The Sword – ‘I speak’, carving out dreams and hopes, seeking truth and banishing fears.

I think delightful Virgo’s you had a very interesting week last week, Holy Water, cleansing, healing and changing aspects of your life perhaps? The Virgo cuspian me, and a Virgoan friend, were connecting on a deep level, with others as well as each other, our discussions taking on a level of learning, from each other, and others. I’ve never researched so much about a lot of random things, that suddenly inspired me so much. We had that lovely snow, well not so lovely if it held you up, but snow in itself is cleansing. And of course, there was Imbolc, I really enjoyed this one, there was a really good vibe about it.

The Sword, ‘Swoosh!’ Some people I know will laugh at this, for this card kept coming up in daily card readings, at various levels, knight, queen and ace, I think. Let’s talk swords as in what is a sword? What does a sword do, it cuts, or jabs, or stabs at something. Being that it is longer than a knife, you can stand back from the person, monster or situation and skillfully do so. You have them at, ‘arm’s length’, yet are still able to deal with them. Usually sharp, quick to cut, and great to defend yourself with.

They are also used by those in authority to confirm their decisions or seal deals. Think that being knighted by The Queen is receiving a little touch of the blade on each shoulder. Which harkens back to days when they literally decided the worth of your head, whether you kept it, or were indeed honoured to be close to sovereignty by serving in their realm.

These days any sword use is ceremonial. But close your eyes and imagine you are going on your own adventure, and you’ve got your sword. This is a special sword. It is a sword of energy, of the voice, it has the ability to cut ties in the past, slice through barriers that stop you going forwards. They could be your own self-imposed blocks. Old habits piling up, negative feelings, things people have said to you, like, ‘You can’t do it’, and you’ve believed them, you’ve believed all of these things as being the reasons why you cannot do the very thing you want to do! Use your sword, slice, dice and swoosh away at that negativity. Then woaah! Look at the path ahead, it’s clear, ready for you to step onto and get on with your journey.

If I were to exercise any caution at all, with such a magical weapon you may appear a little assertive or even ‘sharp of tongue’. On the off chance that someone does say or do something that annoys you, count to 10, or 100, and then speak, for they may not be aware of your prowess until it’s too late. As I often say, be kind.

But in summary, banish fear, slice through to hope, and forge ahead with compassion.

Libra

The Cave – ‘Step back’, restore energy, healing, preparation

Libran Wiccascopians Hello!

I loved being a bat, and admit I did embrace my inner Batfink, “My wings are like a shield of steel”, there was an air of change about my life, I felt differently about aspects of it, and yes, I made some significant shifts in my plans. And I know I left something behind which took a long time in shifting. How about you? I really hope it was as powerful.

And where do bats live, oh yes in Caves, or in my case the barn over the road! This means we get a rest.

O.k not actually a rest, but we step back subtly and get some healing. And we Librans need that balance in order to carry on otherwise we get very tired, a little stroppy, (well I do), and stop being able to juggle those balls. But we don’t always see the signs, it takes someone else to tell us. ‘Go to bed’, or, ‘maybe we should stay in tonight and just watch a film’.

We are not going to be idle. Oh no. I envisage books, as in notebooks, my laptop on, set on a search engine, and you can call me, ‘Mrs Researcher’. A thirst for learning needs a quiet place in which to do it. I love a library or study. Find your safe place to go and use this waning moon as well, to work with what is leaving, what is staying. Then when the new moon comes, watch out world!

Luckily, we don’t suffer from fear of missing out when we are truly at home with ourselves, and when the time is right, we can step out and say, ‘I’m ready, and I’ve been busy in my bat cave’.

This card is also about rebirth, for whatever we heal from, release ourselves from, or change about our lives we come out of our caves, we will be different. It can be scary, change is, but I approach change these days with gradual steps, write lists, have affirming post-it notes all over the place. And I love a plan. I also accept that even though I make the decision to change something, I may not feel the effects of it immediately.

We will feel the effects of changes we make this week, by April, and be celebrating them in full by Autumn. Have faith in yourself, know that by stopping, resting and nurturing, you will be refreshed and strong. Yes, I said strong. Whose with me, let’s do this!

Scorpio

Spiral – “You spin me right round baby right round” *, connections, attraction, freedom. (*Dead or Alive song)

Scorpio you had my favourite bird last week, lovely Raven! Were there revelations, were you taken to depths of emotion? And I have to ask, did you find yourself with a new spirit guide? Do tell me in your comments.

This week, oh boy, I am renaming The Spiral. ‘Tornado’, for that is the energy I picked up on when I began typing this. And I also started singing that song by Dead or Alive. But that song sums the feeling of abundant energy felt when you see something or someone you like, and you feel like for a moment you’re in a spin. And guess what when you’re spinning like that, with all this vibrant sacral life force, others will notice it!

Tornados pick up things in their vortexes, almost like a magnet sweeping overhead, you too could find you’ve got new people saying hello. Opportunities may have come your way too. Still be proactive, and make things happen for you, but this is a sign that things will get caught up in your tail Scorpio.

Make sure you go clockwise those, pirouette in the right directions, forwards, never back. For you don’t like the road sweeper want to be picking up all the rubbish to deal with, do you? Or revisiting the past. You will only get stuck. We don’t want that do we?

Another magical thing happens when you spin around, some things that may like to keep hold of will go flying off, released. Gone. It will happen so quickly, you won’t have time to reflect or rue it, so you need to say goodbye and welcome the space left behind.

I have another song I want to sing, ‘We’re off to see the wizard’, for you could be Dorothy Gale couldn’t you. One minute you’re minding your own business, your life is, going along as it is, but something is out of sync. Then along comes a force of nature, that captures you and spins you into another place and time. And takes you on a part of your journey that will mean looking closely at yourself, what you need, and what you don’t need. So off you go, follow your own yellow brick road… it’s waiting.

Sagittarius

Spider – ‘I am’, designs, solar plexus energy, free will,

Sagittarius, ‘ow do? You were being sent cleansing, and protection last week with the precious Holey Stone. Your 3rd eye would have been if you had tuned into it, sending you images, strong images, that were messages, meant only for you. I know that you have to be in the right frame of mind to relax and tune into a 3rd eye visualisation, but it can be done simply by relaxing.

Do you like spiders Sagittarius? Worry not if you don’t, this is not a real one. It’s a symbolic one. And no, you don’t have to go and get one as a familiar.

More music, (I love it, and there’s always a musical reference I can dig out), and here I am all over Paloma Faiths, “Make Your Own Kind of Music” with the chorus being very powerful with,

Spiders don’t sing I know, well if they do, we can’t hear them, but they spin webs. This is their skill. For the purpose of this card’s message to you, you can think like a spider, or think of yourself singing a song. Do you weave the same web day in, day out? Then if someone upsets it, or breaks it, you just repair it and go around again? Or do you spin out your silk in another direction, break the mould and ring your own changes? Is your web, or your song, defined, limited, and dependent on others playing their part in your life in a negative way.

Remember it’s your web, your song if you like, your life. You are unique, special in your own right. But over time like all of us, you’ve compromised, negotiated, and found a way of doing things, a way of being around people. Is it you that they see, or a version of you, you present to them that you hope they find acceptable?

Are you repeating patterns or cycles by dating the same kind of partner, playing the same kind of role? Doing the same job, because it’s what you do? Are you having the same arguments but with different people because you are reacting the same way, or picking the wrong people to share yourself with?

It’s time if that is the case to spin out another way of doing things, and breaking those cycles. This is a great card, for the industrious spider never really spins their way the same way, it may appear so, but, if we photographed each one, they would not be identical, they would do some things differently each time. You can do this too.

Capricorn

Gaia – Healing, top to toe, nurturing

Capricorn ah here we are with you again at last. Good to see you! The bountiful lady came along and gently guided you through a tricky patch there. Wise and graceful at the same time. If you need her again, she’ll come. Another lady this way comes, a very important one. Gaia.

A Greek goddess at that! A very maternal one too, she comes to soothe, heal, and mother you at this time. She provides you with inspiration – seeds and helps you nurture, and gives you the tools to reap the results.

If Capricorn you feel you’ve hit a wall, ground to a halt, she gently comes to sit beside you, with a little parcel. It will take you time to work through its contents, and she won’t go until you have, for like the wizard or the lady, they are determined that you see what gift they have to give you. And like her fellow wise souls, she will let you do what you want with them.

In this parcel is the gift of time, time for you, to just sit and think, and, ‘be’. There is some food there, food grown from the earth, healthy hearty soup, or fruits from bushes or trees. There is water from deep in the earth’s wells to hydrate and heal you. And there is a packet of seeds. They are your seeds. Plant them, where you want, when you want. She will guide you if you let her. But ultimately, she puts no conditions on you, and asks you to be yourself, and do things as yourself.

You may feel closely connected to the earth itself now, or your consciousness will be drawn to doing more for it. Have you changed your ecological habits and now no longer see recycling as a chore but only the start of your awareness? This is not a judgement by the way, but a sign of your deepening appreciation for mother earth, and a sense of playing your part.

Lastly, Gaia beats a drum, and like Sagittarius had a bit of Paloma Faith, you will hear music too. A beat, a heartbeat you find yourself tuning into it, and notice how it is calm, yet has a pace. Go calmly with that rhythm, and do what you need to do now with the gifts of peace, balance, calm and nurturing. You will know and you will see your own success.

The First Quarter Moon

Overcoming adversity, ‘Climbing a wall’

How serious are you about working towards your dreams? Have you hit a wall? This will feel like a testing time for you, leaving you feeling very frustrated.  Believe that your dreams are still possible but they require some effort on your part. If you have already decided they are over, you are being asked is that because it’s too hard? 

If you knew that you could do it if you believed in yourself would you try again? This card screams at you, ‘Go on give it another go!!!’

Why do we start things and give it up as a bad idea somewhere along the line?  Other influences! People, time restrictions, distractions.  Were you talked out if by someone else’s less than supportive comments? Those who support and love you unconditionally would be a voice of reason, and not be critical to put you off your plans. 

If there is such energy around you, or you seek the approval of another to the point of compromising your goals, think again, is it time to release yourself from that feeling.  Is it holding you back? You don’t have to leave people you love, just be firm in your self-belief and true to yourself.

If you were asking a question along the lines of, ‘Do I carry on with x or y?’  Yes carry on, but know there’s a bit of work you have to do. This can be applied to any situation in your life, love, work, or your life path.

The Dispersing Moon

Pause, relax, breathe

When a full moon has peaked it’s fit to bursting with all the energy, emotions, hard work and events of the last 29 or so days. Phew! Imagine it’s like a dandelion flower head full of seeds ready to go with one light touch of the breeze, ‘Pop’, and off those delicate seeds fly.  By the time a full moon has enjoyed a couple of days with us, this is what happens to your melting pot of drama for the month; It’s all released.  And not before time in some cases, tensions will reduce, feelings of confusion and pressure will lessen, and you will be able to let go.

If a negative situation has built up over the month, it will calm down! Distributing fairly and squarely where it should so that all those involved can review their part in it.   Sometimes not all of the dandelion’s head flower scatters, a little remains for us to blow away from it.  This is what you are left with.

With less anxiety or worry about a situation, you will be left with your current truth. You can’t go back and claw back those pieces of the moon like clumps of cheese, or recapture those seeds flying around in the air.  Trust that what remains, is what you need to go forwards. Even if time has been called finally in certain areas.  A relationship may have had one argument too many, or someone may have failed to prove their worth to you or respect for you.  Don’t repeat the monthly cycle, it’s time perhaps to make some changes or take strong action.

You are also being given a ‘Time-out’, take it, rethink things, do a mini stock take of your life.  What can you do over the next 29 days to make those changes to tweak, and develop what is left? It may be time for a holiday, a peaceful one.   

It’s alright to be where you are at the moment, it’s needed. Learn to work with moon cycles, go with the flow. Don’t be surprised if what you have learned attracts the genuine need for help from someone else who may be struggling. 

The Aries Full Moon

Incoming Fireworks!

You are a true force of nature or have been.  You know what you wanted, had your plan, had plotted your course.  Off you went, full steam ahead! I love this kind of energy and admit I get bouts of it, I have a touch of Aries in me.  But wait up.

What didn’t you count on?  Other people!  They didn’t feel listened to, included, and maybe a little upset about it. When you are power housing like this it’s like wearing blinkers, you can’t see, or even hear them saying, ‘Yes but…’  Regroup, be kind. Consider their feelings and ideas.

I love assertive people, can be one of them some of the time, but watch the thin line between ‘assertiveness’, and, ‘belligerence’.  And if something is very, very precious to you, and anyone dares to raise an alternative approach or dislike of it, don’t be, ‘Smaug’, the dragon and rear up at them.  Remain calm. They don’t realise how this energy makes you feel.  And it has to go somewhere.  Why not burn any excess up with a good walk or go to the gym?

It’s hard to admit we’ve been short with people, isn’t it? Don’t worry they know you are ambitious or impassioned about something, so there is time to resolve it with some gentle words, but if you don’t it could result in friction and fireworks.

By all means stay on your path and plans, but be open to receiving some support and a bit of input from others, and maybe have fun with them too.

Your ideas are great! Your goal is fantastic! You are a natural leader, and someone I’d get behind, never lose that fantastic drive. But remember to ground yourself, enjoy fun, and love. Balance!

New Moon – Fresh starts!

Yes! You have permission to feel the following emotions; Positivity, optimism, encouragement.  A fresh start is yours.

I think this card is a wonderful one to get because it marks a time of healing being complete, and you have a green light to go ahead with your new revised, and positive frame of mind, body and soul.

A 2nd yes, declares that there could be brilliant opportunities coming your way if you are ready to make the most of them.

Whatever you were doing, you will feel an urge to try something new, you could be spring cleaning your home, your life, your career your love life, it is all being refreshed.  Some things may remain, just as they are, some may be altered to suit your new outlook.  Some may not make the grade and be excluded from your new life path. Any sentiment you feel will be eased by the knowledge that you are doing the right and honest thing for yourself.

One emotion you may be feeling at this time is, fear or caution. Keep your plan of action simple, break it down.

Don’t measure each step you take with your new start too harshly.  It’s new, you may never have tried a certain approach before, you’re learning.  So, take it steady. You wouldn’t jump out of an aeroplane without a parachute when you’d finally decided to do something different, would you? You’d do your research, go the training, see the plane, get your emotions in check, put on your parachute, cling to the professional like crazy, and jump.  There is a process in trying out new approaches.  But with preparation and confidence, your future dream looks achievable.

So, enjoy this time of rebirth and embrace your new future.

1/ Remembrance of self.

If you are finding that you are suffering from the effects of stress or feeling anxious about your life, or you are feeling chaotic or caught up in a situation, or connection. Perhaps you have lost sight of SELF.

Sometimes it feels positive to just flow, whilst forgetting to ground ourselves. But we need to pay attention to our energy levels and personal needs or eventually, we hit a metaphorical wall. When that happens we can’t give out what we want to, in our day to day situations.

In a negative context, we can get caught up with the wrong idea of a situation or connection, and the reality of it. As a result our mojo lowers

When we focus heavily on how we can change a situation, or person we can lose sight of our authentic self and needs. Doing this can muddy our self-image and block us from opening up to expansion in our life.

Step back into self-mode and remember who you are, and what you need. It’s important to appreciate and accept, that your inner identity, and what you bring with you is good enough. You then can anticipate that you will attract to you what you need from a place of self-power.

The Tower – This is incredibly fitting because ultimately the tower is change, literal, mental, emotional and energetic change. The Tower indicates that you’re truly about to go through a turning point in your life, might not be easy, but it will be worth it. The thing about The Tower is when you’ve experienced it, you can use it as a springboard to rebuild and also realise what you want.

2/ Don’t short change yourself, make the changes.

Feeling stagnant and stuck? (me too sometimes) we’ve gotta shake it up man (or woman or however you may identify as, if at all). In situations when we are growing and as broad minded beings, we can become frustrated when the flow of things becomes stuck. Even if you like familiarity, too much repetition will create reductive energy and limit your experiences.

When we don’t tap into all aspects of self and embrace the different layers, we can sometimes feel a sense of lacking. It also limits our experience as a whole person. Think about it, no one is just one thing or one dimension. We aren’t just man, woman, police officer or business person – you may be a dancer, creator or gymnast and many other things as well.

Even our astrology is dynamic and layered- you’re not just a Taurean, Sagittarian or Aries there is so much more to it. Being aware of/embracing those aspects of the self and using them will open up doors and fulfil you as a whole being.

Make an effort now to embrace all aspects of self, and create experiences no matter how small! to invigorate yourself and boost your energy, to bring in in new life experiences that will expand self and soul.

The Fool- yaaaaas , take that leap, my friend, because you are being called to do so and because you can. 3/ Build on solid foundations not sand.

When we have solid foundations it acts both as a springboard for going forward and a safety net for failure, (I don’t like the word failure, look at it more as a time when our ideals aren’t completely met). This ultimately creates a sense of confidence, and inspire our fierce side to go forward in life. Why? Because we know we will always survive. The fire signs and Scorpios will love that I’m sure .

It’s completely true though! Think about it. If you know you can survive anything (you learn to know this by looking back at your challenges, and realising you’re still here basically), would you fear things as much?.

Having a solid foundation isn’t just about the practicalities in life it’s also about emotional foundations and mental foundations, as these together are our sense of self and actually having a strong sense of self, allows us to anticipate life as oppose to angst over it.

Look at how solid your foundations are, do you feel practically safe? Have you got the flow of finances in place? Do you feel emotionally safe? Are you nurturing yourself? Are you acknowledging your emotions, as opposed to suppressing them?

Do you feel mentally safe? How do you think about yourself and situations, are you fanning out and looking at the bigger picture or fixating on the negative? All of these aspects of self, work in sync to secure our self-awareness and life.

Also look externally in your life, is the job that you are doing secure and stabilising to you as well as fulfilling? Are the people in your life grounded and progressive as opposed to chaotic and restrictive?

A way to resolve this would be to step back from the situation as a whole, break it down into those areas, and evaluate them, then see if they still fit into how you would really like to be doing things. Once you have done so you will find yourself feeling that sense of grounding, and at peace, and potentially a lot less stressed out.

Judgement – this is a powerful but fitting card because the Judgement card is about mind and life audits. Stepping back and simplifying in our mind what is and what we need to do going forward.

Judgment is also a card about self-power and having a sense of strength in self when we think and communicate. Use this self-powered energy to stabilise your mind and life dynamics and this will not only settle you but set you free.

4/ Old ways won’t open new doors, as old doors won’t open with new ways.

We can sometimes get caught up in old patterns because of habit and mental hang ups because of limiting beliefs. This can definitely block us, the mutual theme between the two is “the past”. Now the past isn’t necessarily a bad thing if we use it as a pathway leading us to the present and future, not as the lay by to life.

Habits come from feeling familiar and whether positive or negative we condition ourselves to keep our focus on the familiar because it makes us feel in control, but this is an illusion.

The same thing goes for our limiting beliefs that we create, or that have been given to us in our early life, and we still carry around with us. These things almost become our safety net to deal with the world.

Now again this is not always a bad thing if you use them as a starting point, however we can then spread out away from these practically and mentally to seek new experiences and feelings that can also make us feel familiar and safe.

Think about it in a basic way, you try spinach and you like it but you really find it’s boring to eat it every day although not necessarily a bad thing. You can add things to spinach to spice it up, but you’re hesitant. When you shake it up and find you like it you! In the same way create diversity in life and you can then further expand.

The same goes for relationships and people patterns. For instance if you are used to creative types but they haven’t worked for you why keep going for these types?. If you have a ten year up and down relationship with someone who is flakey what is likely going to repeat?, and if this doesn’t work for you why do you stick in that situation?.

Your mind may tell you it’s because you attract these types and they stimulate something in you, but is that because you feel you lack something inside self? Do you want to be like them in someway?. Your habit would tell you “well I’m used to this” so you feel safe around it even though it’s possibly emotionally and energetically unsafe for you.

Use these experiences that you’ve been through or going through now. They are just an experience, but now step back and ask yourself does this evolve me and expand as a dynamic.
