Tarot Card One – The Wheel of Fortune

Oh to you all I wish a happy official Spring!!!

I’m so excited about it I could dance around a fire, but alas I find myself full of cold and finish this edit from my sofa feeling pathetic.  But! I know I’ll be able to do my fire dance soon! 

I hope your week was good one and you are ready for what my deck of cards wants to tell you. They have been very feisty lately, falling out of the deck when for example I ask “what card should Taurus get this week?” So, expect some direct messages!

Given that we do group activities now, I thought of a lovely one that I hope you’ll all enjoy.  Take yourself off to a shop that sells new age gifts. Crystals, or talismans, candles and charms, have a look around, and with just a few pounds, dollars or your currency choice, buy something that symbolises something special for you.  Place it somewhere you can focus on it, and associate it with future hope and energy to help you.

Aries – Black Cat

Oh, Happy Birthday and very warm wishes to you all!  Your card wasn’t drawn for your, I was out and about thinking about, ‘stuff!’ and decided your card would be the Black Cat, it just happened. How does the power of such a beautiful feline relate to your life and how can it help you!

The Moon and the Black Cat are closely linked, with Luna goddesses Hecate and Luna. Their energies are drawn together. The cat wide awake and alert making the most of moon-lit nights. Your message here is that the nights this week will be more significant than the days. You may find yourself at your most productive later in the evenings.  This is great if you are a night owl.  If you are not, follow your usual routine but pay attention to your dreams which could be more lucid and vibrant at this time.

There is also the sense of the Familiar about this card, of a close bond or loyal connection with someone special that will prove both supportive and useful to you.  Rather than a connection to a variety of people as you would have with The Familiar that encourages you to be more sociable, the Black Cat is working with you on a one-to-one basis. So, enjoy the partnerships you hold dear, and expect to be bouncing ideas off each other.

The Black Cat represents the Divine, and your connection with spirit; expect to feel more energised and in touch with higher energy. Oh, Hello Taurus, I offer you a week of fun. The Horned God is here to energise you to and bring such an opportunity to enjoy yourself and potentially the reason to celebrate a success.  But you do have the option in how to take part in any merriment that comes your way, fear not if you’re not overly sociable, it’s your time, and your way of having fun. A guide to this is tuning into yourself, and asking the key question, ‘What makes me happy?’

There could also be the message here, that you are hiding a fantastic sense of humour, and a naturally warm personality away from people who really like you, or could like you. You’re not shy by nature, just private.  Is it time do you think to extend your social circle a little, by adding one or two more faces that could really benefit from being your friend and you being theirs? 

You are also so down to earth Taurus, and it’s officially Spring a very earthly time! This god is one of nature, and what lies beneath.  So, expect energy from your roots in the earth, get out and about away from buildings and urban dwellings.  Or perhaps find a spot in a park, or your garden where you can just sit and be.  There’s so much energy to be had from being closer to the earth.  This will help balance you, what needs to change to become more stable?

If by any chance you are looking at your life with confusion or a half-hearted sense of contentment, much like The Chalice I ask you to look at what you have got in your life. What is there to be grateful for, what are you not using in your own environment that you’ve neglected, or forgotten about? Who, or what have you cut yourself off from, that could be the difference between smiling and actually laughing?  You are basically being told its ok to enjoy yourself, don’t go crazy, but it’s time to let go of any feelings you allow to hold you back. Gemini- Gaia

Oh, lovely Gemini, I drew this card twice for you, I shall explain, in drawing your cards you had two this one and another.  The deck was reshuffled, and Gaia fell out the deck. So, it really was meant to be. Beautiful Gaia, she brings to you, body mind and soul healing. She enriches your day and your night, and encourages you to eat, sleep, drink and play well.

She’s a lovely Spring time lady, adorned with blossoms, and loves nature’s gifts of air, water, sun, and earth, all things we need to grow and prosper.  I love my plants, and noticed some looked a bit sad, so my plan this week is to repot some, and feed them up ready to enjoy their spring and summer.  Like a plant you could be tired from winter, and need to re-plump your skins natural glow, and feed yourself fresh lovely food to restore the energy levels. In doing so you may feel so restored you have enough love and healing to share with others.

I spoke of my plants, they have their roots, and like Taurus you are being told to ground yourself, if you have a Taurean pal, go for a nature walk with them, and just sit together to recharge your batteries.  You could be the friend they need as well.  It may be the pair of you consider a joint project to do something for the earth, a nature project, or help for a nature charity. Whatever you achieve together it will be powerful.

Don’t give up on your hopes and wishes, they will as sure as Spring is Spring, start to poke through the earth and reveal themselves. So, relax, it’s all going as it should be, you can’t race nature, so don’t get into a race with yourself or others. Whilst you are taking time out to be organic in many ways, you can take some time out to listen to some music, lay on the ground and listen to it, feel its rhythm vibrate through your body. Go you nature child and make your own mini-festival.

Cancer – The cone of power

Very happy and warm wishes to you! Your card was also very determined to come through to you.  It fell out before I could say, ‘So tell me about Cancerians, what do they need to know?’ I love my deck of cards!

This is energy time for you, turbo or rocket boost.  I think this time I’ll use the analogy of a pressure cooker.  Some energy is scattered, wide-spread and gentle, still powerful but less full-on; this is different.  Imagine this, your potatoes boiling in a pressure cooker, it’s all contained in the boiling water, the heat mounts up, then wooooooooooooooooosh! The steam is released.  The Cone holds such a power that builds up inside it, then once given an outlet, (i.e. you), it is free to do what it wants and needs to.

You may or may not have the choice in the energy you are being sent now. It is usually the energy you need.  Don’t think too much about this, just ask, ‘What issue do I need help with, and what healing energy is going to help?’ Before you know it, it will come. And you will find one important matter will find itself much easier to deal with. And you will feel so much better for welcoming such a loving, unconditional energy into your life.

But what if you don’t want any help, what if you feel nothing needs healing? Or more to the point what if you are afraid of having to deal with the outcome of healing?  Don’t be, you can relax, you are getting exactly what you need, at the time you need it, for a very important matter needs your attention. So, don’t fight it, be part of it, otherwise, you’ll feel the frustration bubbling away around you. It can’t be ignored.  Enjoy!

Leo – Cauldron

Bravo Leo! Seasonal wishes to ye!  What magic awaits you this week? Accidental use of phrase there, but you’ve got The Cauldron. The mixing bowl of spells, potions and your potential to boot! This card feeds your sacral chakra, it sends you lovely healing right into your belly.

You have so much potential around you, within you, and from you it will flow once your own special recipe has been created. A witch doesn’t need a fancy cauldron to make their creations, a favourite saucepan will do.  And indeed, when a witch makes a meal, it’s a magical experience too. For make no mistake, most witches eat well, heartily, and healthily.  Evoking their wishes and dreams with each healing ingredient. “But Violet I’m not a witch!” you say, and scratch your head.  Or maybe you are, and you know this, but for those of you who are not, know that your own natural magic and energy needs this special attention too.

Your cauldron can contain a hope, a wish, or simple healing tonic to relieve you from something that ails you.  What do you want to fix? Why do you want to fix it? And is it the right time? Think carefully for you have a powerful energy about you now that suggests you will be able to achieve something you need or want to do. You can either choose real ingredients, by making a hearty meal that includes herbs which are known to have certain properties. Sage will promote cleansing and healing. Garlic and ginger will boost your immunity. They also have other meanings and can help with attracting abundance, and success.

You are now the boss of your destiny. However, you may not have been aware of this, and allowed others to have more say than you would have liked.  Regain the control of your life, put your own power ingredients in your pot, and make your own potion. Consider your intentions please as you do so, do so with universal love, and ensure there’s no malice in your words.  As you stir your ingredients whilst they cook, try visualising your success and happiness, stir clockwise, and ensure you say thank you, as you end your stirring process.  As you slowly enjoy your meal, ensure you taste each flavour, be mindful of the lovely nurturing food,  and know this meal will do more than feed your belly, it will feed your intuition and point of courage.  Happy cooking!

Virgo – Owl

Hi my forest loving friends, you too have a moonlight card, as in Aries with the Cat, and Pisces with The Crystal Ball. For you have The Owl, oh wise old owl.  Which is very odd as I was listening to our Barn Owl last night, then had the most vivid dreams.

Which is what could happen to you, for when an owl hoots they summon those who speak to you in spirit, after darkness has settled, and only the moon and stars light up the sky.  Any questions you have on your mind? Anything that keeps you up at night, leaving you tired during the day? Let the owl guide you through the night, and help you seek out wisdom and find the answers you seek. This bird ageless yet ancient at the same time, is the bird of souls, and knows what lies deep in yours.  Everything, for good and for bad.  It doesn’t judge you, it simply shows you the way to find balance within your own soul.

I know these birds are the harbingers of death in folk lore, and perhaps some of this is true, but I feel it’s more like the Death Card in tarot, it’s about a natural end to a situation.  Such an ending will take you on a different path, options will open up to you.  Hence the need to think about your fate wisely is important.  What do you need to know? What do you want to learn about? Study, the lessons within yourself, ask questions, and when you’ve found your own truth, your option will be so clear to you.  As clear as those stars and the moon in the sky! Be wise x

Libra – The Green Man

Libra’s I’m a bit excited by this card, so appropriate for the lovely seasonal change, I give you the Green Man. What are his words of action? Roots, Growth, abundance, Ripeness, and confidence. Another ambassador of nature, who like The Horned God embraces Spring warmly. It’s the perfect time for us to get out and about in nature and work on our creative ideas, and find an outlet for them.

The Green Man represents courage, an outlet for expression, and looks at your career, or what interests us all greatly, financial growth. With such self-expression and the opportunity for communication you will be able to liaise with Libran charm topped up with the Green Man helps you in the area of friendships, romance, and work relationships. Mutual respect will be shown. A good time to negotiate contracts and have meetings.  Fertility can come from the ideas you bring to the table now.  If you prepare well, before you go into any meetings be they with friends or colleagues and bosses, your ideas will be well received and taken seriously. 

You may be feeling naturally protective about your loved ones, and find yourself offering advice and opinions, and for once they will not be offended by you doing so. It could also the be the case that you are the host of a party or net-working event. Look at your family and social network, connect to them.  You may find some common ground can be found with those you’ve lost contact with, expect reunions to be fruitful and productive. I myself found an old schoolfriend who is now working in the same area as me.

This is time of growth for you, in many areas of your life, expect positive changes as a result of allowing necessary change to happen.  So, proceed with feeling, and courage.  Have the courage and knowledge that you are on the right path and yes you will get there.  By Autumn you can if you stay on this course expect more success, which will make the perfect birthday gift won’t it!  Grab this opportunity.

Scorpio – Cloak

Hi to you all! Welcome to this week now you’ve had a card come back to you again, to offer you a disguise and to shroud you from the world to buy you some time before you make your next manoeuvre.  You have drawn the Cloak now. Its key message is as with delivering good comedy, timing. Pull up a seat I’ll explain.

What if I told you that you are on the threshold of something brilliant?  That something really great is going to happen soon. You wouldn’t be able to contain yourself.  However, like my favourite Wizard Merlin, who keeps cropping up lately for me, you’re advised to keep things to yourself now.  I feel this card relates to your sacral chakra, it ‘knows’.  The question here is, how healthy is your sacral chakra? Eat orange coloured fruit and vegetables, wear orange underwear. Listen to your inner voice when this card comes around.  You will soon know who you can trust, and who can help you with your plans. If someone else has plans you are dubious about, step back do not get involved.

A cloak is a very protective item of clothing to wear spiritually, I’ve mentioned a long time ago how they were worn in Saxon times, and other periods as coats and outer clothing. But some advice I was given many years ago when I felt someone did not have good intentions towards me was to imagine I had a cloak on, and I could dress it up however I liked.  Its outer layer had a forcefield that batted back anyone’s mal-intentions towards me, and if I put the hood up I’d be able to pass past people, discreetly and unseen.  Whether it was a placebo effect or not it worked, it gave me the courage to put some space and time between me and the world. To this day I put on my cloak if I feel vulnerable. 

Although you are advised to stay in the shadows for now, this is a very good card to get, the positive potential that goes with it, is amazing.  As sure as night turns to day, when you undo your cloak to hang it up, your presence will be noticed and some!  It will be your moment to hold the audience of your choice, and explain why you have been quiet of late, but now you have something you’d like to share, celebrate with them even.  Those that know you well and trust you equally, will be on board to help you if you seek their support.  But when that light pours out of you, expect to attract attention. Your time is coming!

Sagittarius – Cave

Sagittarians, be ye well? If you’re a bit tired and need to take some time out, you can.  The Cave calls you.  So just when bears are coming out of hibernation, it may seem odd to say, hey Sagittarius go into a darkened dwelling for a bit, and have a think about things.

If you are a cusp (Scorpio-Sagittarius) this is a double message for you to retreat, rethink, heal, and decide what your next step is. Both the Cave and the Cloak are safe dark places created just for you to ‘be’. Think of words like escape, sanctuary, and retreat. As it’s an imaginary or symbolic cave, you can let your artistic mind go crazy decorating it. How big is it? Where is it? Does it have crystals lining its walls or gold leaf? Is it furnished? Has a feast been prepared for you? Does it have secret passages that will take you beyond and deeper into yourself?

Whilst you are there, your time won’t be idly spent. You will be busy learning, studying, and preparing, such as Scorpio is.  The fact you are literally hidden away in the side of a rock, where the world cannot see you, shows that you perhaps have more freedom and can relax whilst you are in hiding.  What you learn during this time is important and will help you decide what your next step is.  There’s something very earthy about a cave, so it speaks of your root chakra, you could find yourself some ground to sit on, and light a fire to meditate upon your course of action. 

If you are just tired, or lacking the va va voom to get behind the Spring push with your projects, worry not, you’ll come out of your cave with more energy than before, and ready to take on the world.  There’s a sense of rebirth, or renewal of your deepest nature, and it will show.  How do you create a cave in your life though?  If you have a room in your house that is off limits to others, create a safe and private place for you to go and rest up in.  Take some time out from a noisy family if you can.  Do up a room with simple things that please you, I got new curtains, and tie-backs to brighten up my she-den the other day, and a new rug.  Little things like this, that claim a space as yours, create a place you can go to, in order to rest up and make yourself ready once more to step out reborn.  So, go and have a rest.

Capricorn – Holy Water

Hello Cappies! I love how you call yourselves that.  Brace yourself here is your Holy Water, as you need to wash away cobwebs, negative feelings and anything that may be holding you back.

You’re getting a rest as well, I welcome you to Violet’s ‘Aqua da Viva’ Spa.  You’ve your own lovely lodge, right on the water’s edge, and it’s surrounded by tall trees and mountains.  Anytime you want to all you have to do is step or dive into the lake, and know the waters in it are pure, cleansing, and healing. If I had such a place, your place would be booked for you, free of charge, but I offer you in reality the chance to go to such a place in your mind, or create a mini spa in your home.  As Sagittarius is creating a healing cave, you could do worse than join them and create a healing room where water is the key to its energy, buy a tank and put fish in it if your pockets allow.

I feel this is a fantastic card to get around this time of year, when everything is fresh and nourished with rain and sun in pretty equal measure.  It’s a time to grow, but there’s no rush.  Plants don’t rush into life, they feed off their bulbs and seeds, blindly aiming towards the light, and drink the rain water as it falls.  You too should do the same, slow down, close your eyes, eat when you feel you need to and eat well.  Sleep when you’re tempted to watch just one box set more or play one more game on your phone.  Turn off your phone at night an hour before you go to bed, and perhaps book an off-grid holiday?

If you can take the focus of your energy away from others who can help themselves, and put that energy back into you. If you have a family, let someone else pick up the slack, let older children do more. You don’t have to justify or explain yourself to anyone, by giving so much of yourself you may have become drained and your own projects may be side-lined in favour of others. When you return to your friends and family, you’ll be calmer, they will have felt empowered, and respect you for how much you do, and the balance will be restored. You will find what you have to say after you come out of your cave will be listened to.  So, go, make some ‘me’, time.

Aquarius – Spell

Hello lovelies! I hope your world is happy and bright. I love this card, it comes out often, and now it’s your turn. What significance does it have for you? If ever a sign was a Wizard it’s you, male or female I’ll break the rules here and say the female Aquarians hold Wizarding rather than witching qualities. Proud, assured, determined and not afraid to be alone.  As a wizard you are able to carry out spell potions. What spell will you create?

What is it you really need? I could also say want.  But think very, very carefully on this, for the two are so different.  Don’t waste this chance on something silly or false. Be like a wizard and think.  They do not rush into magic, neither do witches, not unless haste beckons. In general herbs are foraged for with love, water is collected with grateful intention, fires are lit with pure primal energy and the earth holds the cauldron steady and firm ready for the spell’s ingredients.  You could learn from this.  Think on your spell, or goal? Do you have all you need to carry it out? Are you doing it for the right reasons? Will anyone get hurt? I cannot stress enough any action you take now, must be done with a pure heart, and hold no malice towards anyone involved. For if you spell cast from ego or hate for someone, or to usurp someone, sure it will work.  But it won’t hold, and it will upset people, including yourself in the end.  So, think of the consequences of your actions in your life.

You could do worse than plan to resolve a conflict, it’s time, such a potent energy is capable of healing hurts and strengthening bonds. Watch how you react when spoken to and how you speak to others, for the ripple of your words will be far reaching, and powerful.  Communication is starred here, you can expect to be involved in discussions, meetings, and your voice will be heard. Your words will have meaning and essence.  Take time to allow others to really hear what you have to say, don’t rush your words.

You will also find yourself providing comfort to someone who needs a friendly ear or shoulder, let them be heard, and listen to your gut, for they will want your advice as well as your opinion.  There is a lot you can do with this card and your time with it, so perhaps look at your plan of your year and work out where you are at, and what spells you could use in other areas.  Spells are really only words with the power of love and intention behind them, enjoy your time with them this week.

Pisces – Crystal Ball

Ah last but not least!!! Welcome all of you!  Your card also came as a thought like Aries, I was sat outside with my cats staring at the full moon.  And there it was, Pisces had to have this card, the Crystal Ball. Like the Cave and the Cloak, you are being asked to trust your own instincts, and know that any truth you know or discover at this time will be important to your future plans.  How does this card really relate to you as a Piscean?

Just like the classic track by The Animals – You’re just a soul whose intentions are good. So why is it this week people may seem to be going out of their way to deliberately misunderstand you or just keep you in the dark? Nothing right now is what is appears to be – and as for what you are saying – well, some people’s ears may be open but their minds may be closed. Or they may simply be too busy talking to actually really listen.

You can say people may only hear what they want to hear due to retrograde Mercury conjunct Neptune in its ruling 12th this week. Also, if they are saying something to you – they may not mean it. It may now be your birthday, but you have heavy planetary activity in your mysterious 12th. Keep your own dealings above board and upfront. You too are more suggestible and because your intentions ARE good, please be aware some people may try to take advantage of this. Your body is more sensitive to what you put into it – watch for reactions now and please, limit your intake of alcohol or other substances.

The past may reappear unexpectedly thanks to Venus also in this house from the 26th and impacting for the first time in your life on newly arrived Uranus in Venus’s ruling 2nd. This could be anything from a lover or a past money making venture but please, don’t rush back into something and know that for you right now, there is no such thing as a get-rich-quick scheme. Question everything.

Mercury heads direct on the 29th but it will make one more pass to Neptune next week and will take until mid-April to clear retroshadow so until then, heed this advice. Mars enters your communication sector from the 31st. This is Mercury’s house so despite you knowing you are being clear, people still don’t seem to get your message. Above all, if boundaries are crossed this week, let people know in no uncertain terms. That’s one area where you can be perfectly understood now.

In a nutshell: You know you’re being you’re usual direct self. So why is it people seem to be deliberately misunderstanding you? Get a little inside clarity and cut through confusion this week, Aries.

There’s a lot happening in your social and friendships sector this week but it’s not about going out and making new friends – or even connecting on-line. Retro Mercury bumps into Neptune in here on the 25th plus you have Venus entering this house on the 26th. Normally I would say that ruler Venus would enhance your social life but with this Mercury/Neptune meeting, you need to be careful about getting re-involved with friends from your past and also be extremely wary of friends with ‘issues’ – especially if they involve alcohol, drugs, or trouble with the law. You could find yourself sucked in to their drama if you are not careful. Another example of the kind of energy that is around you is the friend who lurches from one crisis to the next and is always seeking to be bailed out, or who only calls you when they need something.

Um-friends may also feature. As in that person with whom your relationship is not yet clear: ‘This is John and he is my um – friend’. Are you not asking for clarity because you are frightened of the answer? Then you already have it whether you ask or not. Don’t choose not to know where you stand with others this week. Are you wanting to change an aspect of your own life – such as quit drinking for example, but continue to go down the pub or open that bottle of wine with your drinking buddies? Again, look at the company you keep. This week is not a good time to launch anything on line either – from that blog, Meetup group or join a new social media site.

Ruler Venus aspecting Uranus in your 1st could have you seeing things differently and perhaps being content with your own company rather than the wrong kind. Usually, the news your ruler Mercury is heading direct is cause for celebration. However, this week that would be extremely premature. Mercury does indeed head direct again on the 29th and in your 10th of career, public image and reputation. However, before it does this it will meet Neptune in there on the 25th and once direct again, remain in retrograde shadow. Things, in other words, are confused, confusing and still unclear until mid-April.

You do have assistance from image-enhancing Venus entering this house on the 26th. And an alignment between Venus and Uranus in your 12th could well deliver a piece of information or just a surprise turn of events which clarifies matters. However, you can take nothing for granted despite this. Career moves and decisions remain shrouded in confusion and prone to cancellation and change until next month. If you are doing a deal or accepting a new position, please get everything in writing and comb through the fine print. Even when signatures are on the dotted line, T&C’s may still be subject to change.

Above all, take no risks with your professional reputation. Do not get caught up in anything that may negatively impact on your position – from office gossip to how you are seen outside of working hours. If you are applying for a new job – and you know this is not the best time but closing dates are not set by astrologers, watch what you post on your social media feeds because yes, employers can and do check these.

Whatever you can imagine could derail your plans – plus a few things beyond that, can and possibly will happen thanks to retrograde Mercury conjunct Neptune in your sector of long distance travel and foreign affairs this week. If you are travelling back to somewhere you have visited in the past and love, you may not be so adversely affected thanks to Venus also entering this house from the 26th and making a highly positive angle to Uranus in its ruling 11th on the 28th.

If you are involved in publishing, the mass media, the law, exams or study, please double and triple check anything you send out or are required to sign, proofread or submit. Mistakes are likely to be big ones. If you are unsure, please seek a second opinion or professional pair of eyes.

Resist any urge to escape either literally via running away and becoming a beach bum (yes, that is an extreme example but you know what I mean!). Or via other more subtle means – anything which takes you away from reality – excessive drinking, drugs, eating, shopping, gambling, retreating into a fantasy world or even something which appears relatively harmless such as binge-watching.

Normally the arrival of Venus in this house which it rules, on the 26th, would be the start of one of the best cycles of the year for love and attracting a partner. However, due to retroactive Mercury, all bets are off. It’s worth remembering that as well as true love, Venus also rules triangle situations, affairs and yes, any relationship that comes under the ‘It’s complicated’ heading.

While Mercury heads direct again from the 29th, it will remain in retroshadow until mid-April. Until then, it is probably best not to go looking for love or start a new relationship as you are unlikely to find what you are seeking. If a former lover returns wanting a second chance, take things very slowly unless you want a repeat performance of whatever it was that caused the break-up in the first place. And please, insist there are no ‘complications’ and be prepared to walk away if there are.

In either case, take your time and ensure you have something else to go to. This is Mercury retrograde mayhem on steroids due to Mercury encountering Neptune in here before heading direct again.

Ruler Venus sashays in here from the 26th but this is not a house Venus enjoys being in as it is all about routines, duty and practicality. You of all signs know Venus is about none of these things! You may look around for distraction and escapism due to that Mars in your 9th but your best tactic is actually to remain fully present in the here and now and focussed on the task at hand.

Dull I know but look at it this way: by the time Venus reaches its ruling 7th in your chart, Mercury is well out of retroshadow and all the confusion is at an end. Plus, by tackling those everyday chores now, you free yourself up for when Venus brings back the love, romance, creativity and all things Libra love extravaganza.

This week calls upon you to show someone where the boundaries are, Scorpio. When it comes to children or young people, make no mistake. No matter how they may complain about rules ruining their lives, they know boundaries mean they are cared for and loved. So, if you need to show the tough love by imposing some now, don’t be afraid to do just that. You have help with this if needed thanks to ancient ruler Mars in its ruling 8th from the 31st. That’s the power of (tough) love, baby.

Mercury is retrograde in your romance sector – which also rules children, step children, your partner’s children if not your own, or the younger generation. It meets Neptune in here on the 25th and an issue with a lover may be another reason why you have to show someone just where the line has been crossed. Some of you may not know where you stand with someone. Or feel they are not being 100% honest with you. Don’t be afraid to ask that direct question even if you are nervous about the answer you will receive. Believe me, you are better off knowing in the long term. This could also revolve around how you are being treated in general by someone.

Venus in your 5th normally brings a wonderful cycle of attraction and romance. But even when Mercury heads direct again on the 29th, things are likely to remain confused and up in the air. Uranus is newly arrived in Venus’s ruling 7th and as they align on the 28th, it may be time for you to convey to someone that relationships need to be aligned with your values or not at all. Just like children understand that boundaries and rules equate to love, your soul and the person opposite you if there is one, needs to know that they also reinforce self-worth and respect. State your value via how you expect to be treated – and those boundaries, this week.

In a nutshell: If someone has crossed the line, don’t be afraid to show them where the boundaries are this week. A little tough love goes a long way. Especially when it comes to self-love, Scorpio.

Don’t move now Sag unless you are placed in a position where you absolutely have to. Don’t put your house up for sale, buy property, lease it, rent it, look for a new flatmate, renovate or in fact do anything around real estate. Your mantra is: Stay put. Watch for problems however around pipes, plumbing or the water table. Mercury retro is in da house and hanging with Neptune this week.

Agreements are not likely to stick or be changed, people will back out of contracts, sales or even renting that room from you, or the fine print on contracts will reveal something you were unaware of. If you do move or someone moves in, you could find yourself living next to or with, someone who is not what you thought. If you want to move, plan by all means but for when Mercury moves out of retroshadow which will not occur until mid-April. It will head direct once more in here on the 29th, but will have one more encounter with Neptune in here so expect more confusion.

If you are resigned to staying right where you are for the time being, Venus’s entry into this house offers you an opportunity to bring in hygge and contentment by beautifying your living space. However, remember what I said about undertaking major remodels or renovations. Innovation however, can not only pimp up that crib but sex up that dull and deadly daily routine. Small adjustments can however, lead to bigger, more beneficial changes in other areas thanks to an alignment between Venus and Uranus in your 6th.

This week ends with Mars entering your 7th. Since you’re staying put you’ll be seeking more passion from your significant other. No special someone? Mars in here has you attracting whatever you fixate on. So make that love and not the opposite as this is your house of open enemies. Whatever you think, you’ll attract now. You might not be moving – but that doesn’t mean you have to stay home.

In a nutshell: Time to appreciate what you have and to plan for future improvements rather than make a move. When it comes to attraction – focus. Your thoughts draw your opposite number.

Check what you say, send out, sign or how you communicate. Above all this week, check your computers firewall or security settings. Avoid websites that are not secure and guard your passwords. Do not open that email or message with that attachment without first scanning it for viruses. Back up those important files to more than one source – not just your cloud. The chances of something happening to your computer, tablet, phone or even your car, are high this week so take every precaution.

Above all, and I cannot emphasise this enough, do not go out and buy new devices, appliances or automobiles unless you are placed in position where you have to replace an existing one. Do not sign important contacts or documents without reading the fine print. The reason to be extra-cautious is Mercury retro in its ruling 3rd conjunct Neptune. Your commute or travel plans may be subject to delays, cancellations and disruptions so allow extra time and have an alternative route in mind. Unless your Satnav offers alternative routes, carry a good old fashioned road atlas with you so you can take that exit if necessary. Check your insurances. I wish I could say Mercury direct this week will alleviate matters but it will remain in retroshadow until mid-April and has one more encounter with Neptune between now and then.

Venus also enters this house now. Normally this transit is a highly beneficial period when it comes to work and business matters. But not with Mercury retro in here. By all means continue to revise and refine existing plans and ideas and infuse them with Venus creativity. But hang back on launching them. Unexpected encounters with past loves could feature as Venus aligns to Uranus in your 5th on the 28th.

Something old could just be new again. But then it comes to something brand new, take things slowly if you seek something lasting. Mars enters that other Mercury house this week – your 6th. Time to bring your considerable energy to focus on finishing up those work-related tasks and projects that have been left hanging. Above all, don’t give in to impatience or rush to get things done. You need to check everything you do and send out now. Unless you want to go back and do it all again that is.

In a nutshell: Is there not enough time to do the job right the first time but you have to make time to do it again? Don’t be pressured to rush this week, Capricorn. Something old is new again now.

Aquarius

Old money vs. new money this week. Or should I say that what you can best bank on is what you have already, rather than a new source of income or even funding? Venus enters its ruling 2nd this week and normally this means opportunities to increase your income and also your sense of self-worth. But the million dollar BUT in here is Mercury retrograde conjunct Neptune. This is telling you to stay away from taking out new loans or credit cards and also to avoid unnecessary spending – especially on expensive or big ticket items.

This house rules our possessions. Mercury rules communication devices, appliances and cars. Unless you need to replace something broken, avoid buying these at all costs now. Venus rules indulgence and beauty and Neptune is a higher vibration of Venus. Neptune also rules addiction and escapism. If you are not careful, you could be lured into making a big, indulgent purchase which while beautiful, turns out to be something you fall out of love with later and come to regret. Especially when the bill arrives. New sources of income may not work out or be what you are led to believe. Mercury heads direct again this week but the confusion isn’t yet over. Hold off on major expenditure if you can until mid-April when it is out of retro-shadow. Also, delay launching that new money making idea until then.

Using what you already have in a new and innovative way is your best plan as Venus angles to ruler Uranus in your security and home sector on the 28th. Mars enters your 5th and you want to start something – create something or leap into a love affair. Again, it may be better to wait. Unless you actually like guessing games, questions and delays that is.

In a nutshell: Work with what you have when it comes to your assets, money and even love potential this week. The time for something new will soon arrive. But for now – love what you have.

Who is the fairest of them all?

This week hang on to one truth, Pisces. It’s not you – it’s your planets. You may feel disconnected or on another planet entirely this week. You may also not be seeing yourself clearly. If you think there is something wrong with you, what you need to understand is that this week is like looking at yourself in one of those funfair House of Mirrors. Except there is nothing fun about it. What you are seeing or how you imagine you or others, see yourself is distorted somehow. And not in a good Instagram filter way either.

Retrograde Mercury in your 1st bumps into ruler Neptune this week. On the one hand, incredible insights around your past and your psychic abilities may surface now. On the other however, you just may not be able to see yourself for who you are. Venus’s entry into your 1st may not help matters. You may wrongly leap to the conclusion that everything from your hair to your clothes to your body shape is wrong and needs an Extreme Makeover. The problem with that is that if you give in to it, when all this planetary confusion lifts, you won’t like the illusion you are left with. This is all about connecting to the true beauty within. Which is all you may have lost touch with. YOU ARE A GORGEOUS SOUL!

How you are actually coming across to others may in fact surprise you. So don’t rely on your own perceptions or that mirror (or Instagram feed for that matter). You can ask for feedback now and someone may actually offer you insight that enables you to see your perceptions are skewed. Especially when it comes to how you come across with your ideas or at work. Mercury heads direct from the 29th but will have one more encounter with Neptune before exiting retroshadow so please, wait until mid-April before booking that plastic surgery or botox as by then the mirror may show you someone else entirely. Mars in your 4th can have you hung-up on totally trivial things unless you channel its energy.

It can also make you feel unsure or less confident. All of which can contribute to you feeling it has to be you. Don’t ask the mirror who is the fairest this week. That mirror for once, is telling you lies.

In a nutshell: Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who is the fairest of them all? When it comes to how you think you look this week, Pisces, the truth may be very different to the reflection. See through it.

Hello lovely people, it’s official, today is the first official day of Spring for 2019!  It’s sprung!  I’ve felt it brewing for a few weeks, and there’s definitely a change in the air isn’t there.  So, in Wiccan terms combining with modern day living, what does it mean. I’ve also drawn some cards for you to look at and get your Spring message at the end of this reading.

Pagans celebrated Ostara the goddess of Fertility’s holiday before Christianity, they would pay respect to gods associated with new life and the potential of abundance. Whilst Christianity adopted this holiday and called it Easter, Ostara still has its special small place in many hearts today. At Easter people celebrate with Easter eggs left by the Easter Bunny, and carry out religious worship associated with their faith, back then Druids painted eggs, and in other parts of the world the rabbit or hare at Spring time represented Fertility.

Why is it so important in the Wheel of the Year? It sits between Imbolc, and Beltane, an in between time of the seasons. We still feel a nip in the air, but the sun is gaining in warmth. The Horned God, or Cerranus, is maturing, plant life is coming alive and gardens start to sleepily stretch their arms and think about getting out of bed.  All signs of new beginnings, and with each shy glimpse of a bud, there is hope. 

Even if you do not follow a Wiccan or Pagan lifestyle, you can bring the magic of Ostara into your home, buy a fresh plant, or buy some fresh flowers and put them in a vase. This will bring the energy of the afore mentioned energies into your home, and they look beautiful as well! If you have children who enjoy art, decorate an eggshell and place it on a mantel piece or shelf, and of course enjoy your chocolate egg, for in doing so you’re already part of the Ostara festival. 

This is a good time to plants seeds, of the plant kind and the dream and manifestation kind.  As your plant seed grows, reflect upon how your desires and wishes are growing.  Nurture yourself as you would a plant that needs water, air and light.

Serenity

Peace and quiet is needed for you at this time, a time out is required.  Whatever you are worrying about, you are being told all is well at this time, there is nothing you need to do except relax.  If you are trying to solve a problem, a quieter approach is required, a little pause in proceedings, will help you find answers in a much calmer and relaxed way.

Take yourself out in nature now and forget for a moment what is going on in your world.  As I type this, I can hear birds singing, with the window open, the cool breeze comes through.  The outside world calls me to go for a walk in it, and do just what you need to do.  Enjoy some you time.

Potential! As flowers blossoms on a tree, the future fruits for summer and autumn, so do you have this potential in you.  Something you are doing or want to do, can be successful, there is strong faith in you that you have the talent, and skill to achieve what you want to do.  Nature believes in you, you should believe in yourself.

If you don’t know what this blossoming idea is, it won’t take long if you take some time to reflect to find out what it is you have in you that needs to be shared with the world.  The timing of a blossoming idea coming into fruition is 12 to 16 weeks, so be prepared for the next 4 months to be exciting and busy.  Good luck!

Dear all!

Welcome to this week’s reading.  I hope you’ve all been well, and had the best week you could.  If you had our windy weather from Gareth’s gales, then you’ll be as glad as I am about the sunshine we’ve had this Sunday!

This a star sign change-over this week, we see Pisceans recover from birthdays as Aries folk are about to enjoy them.  So, from water to fire we go, we are entering the period of Ostara. The maiden goddess will be waking up now, the air should feel brighter and fresher. The signs of life will be springing into our gardens, with the singing of birds, and hedge posies appearing.  Winter is retiring, in order to make way for birth, and rebirth. This could be a potent time for us all if we make the most of this lovely time.

In keeping with our group activities and the time of year, I thought of a lovely practical thing to do.  The supermarkets and garden stores have an abundance of spring flowers, if you didn’t plant daffodils of your own, you can buy ready cut ones, (say a little thank you to them as is the respectful thing to do if cutting or buying cut flowers), and put them in a vase to light up a room.  Add spring plants to a planter brighten up your front doorstep or window ledge.  And as you look upon the flowers look at the colours and feel their energy and brightness.

Good day to you, my warm wishes to you all as we leave your Birthdays and you go into your own new year.  I have for you drawn a card that represents summoning, manifesting, and protection, the Pentacle. The Pentacle is a 5-pointed star, and a very interesting one at that, it is worn by those who follow the Wiccan path firstly for protection.  It also provides earthly grounding to hopes dreams and wishes, especially when candle magic is carried out. The five points of this star are elemental, its top point being of the ‘spirit’, followed by fire which relates to the areas of ambition, wrath, compassion, and the imagination. Then comes the element of Air, a carrier of communication, bringing the wings of change, and movement, physical and emotional. After this we have the Earth element, dealing with our physical and material world. Water comes next, it provides healing, nurturing, emotional flow, and love.

Why Pisces am I telling you this.  If you notice they are perfectly balanced points in the shape of the star.  You are being asked do you have all of the above elements working for you as efficiently as they should be, and in equal measure? They also relate to chakra energy points, again calling for the need to be stable and energised. At this time, you are being called back to very simple ways of living, looking at old values, before life got complicated and adulterated by modern living. Do you need to spend less time on social media? And revisit what you believe in, the values you hold special in your heart and soul. That is the good news, it comes with a little guidance, be sure your heart’s desire is realistic, so follow your gut as well as your heart. Gorgeous Gemini, hello! It’s nearly April, the year rolls by, are you feeling good where you’re at? Fear not if the answer is, ‘Actually Violet, I could be doing better’, for here is Gaia.  I’ve been researching again, and have some fascinating facts about her, but her keywords are healing, nurture, vision in dreams and love for you. You may or may not already know that Gaia is the spiritual name for earth or mother earth, she was a bountiful Greek Goddess of Delphi who stood for fertility, the union of marriage, agriculture, and unconditional love. To have Gaia drape her arms around you, means you are being healed. How are you being healed and how does a Greek Goddess have relevance in your world today? 

In order for a harvest to be reaped, it first has to be sown with seeds, she provides such seeds of opportunity for you now, and nourishes you by sending healing and love; thus giving you the energy to aim for your own goals and see them through to their own harvest.  You may already feel you have a strong connection with the earth or have green fingers, perhaps you feel at your best out and about in the fields, woodlands or by water.  You may need to reconnect with mother nature, maybe you’ll be doing your bit for the planet, and take part in a beach clean-up, or look into a community garden project.

There is something very primal about her energy, she works with the cycles of nature and suggests that you do the same, everything has its own beat or rhythm, and that is the key to the success in such things.  Ensure you are in the right groove, the right rhythm for you.  This is key to your success.  Expect the healing energy we associate with motherhood, it doesn’t relate necessarily to children, but to the love and care and tenderness of such motherly healing.  So too you may find yourself being called to help someone else, give them love and unconditional support when it’s called upon, for you will have such energy to give.

Oh, fabulous Lions, Hello to you all, well we’re a quarter of the way through the year and a quarter of the way through your Years Plan. If you were seeking further inspiration, I give you the Cone of Power. Its buzzwords are Energy with a capital E, focus and intention.   What is the Cone of power? A built-up force of energy that you should be becoming aware of?  The beauty of this energy is that it has universal application. You can apply it to any area of your life that needs some tlc. You may have a whole list of issues you want to tackle, but don’t let that concern you, this card suggests you are able to tackle one or more of them at this time. So, it’s up to you, how you use this energy. There’s no right or wrong.  And having learned to embrace this energy, you can apply it as you encounter further issues. This is just a start for you. Hello autumnal babes! Well my Libran week was fact-finding and productive. Leaving me with food for thought. What about you? As if we’ve not been scratching our heads enough this week, here we go again with our friend Wizard! Wizarding words are, wisdom, ego, self-awareness, fastidiousness, and power.

A mentor or guide appears this week to declare that there is the potential to make friends and influence people (as the title of the book says), for there is a quiet air of confidence, and sense of just, ‘knowing’, that we are in the right place now.   Fantastic eh?!? The little warning that goes with this is that the Wizard, a generally well-meaning sort, is less earthy than a witch, and naturally stands tall and proud, wherever their talents lay. This can lead to the appearance of aloofness, and perhaps giving the impression they are using someone but not connecting with them. So be nice to others and play every now and again.  The other side of this is, there could be someone using your talent to their own advantage, and it may be time to keep your power and knowledge for yourself in some areas.  Either way, do not lose sight of the real goal, or the bigger picture.  It’s not about anyone’s ego, it’s about the end result for all.

Librans are supposedly (I’m not so sure with me), said to have impeccable taste and be very tidy.  Implying a sense of fussiness, or being ‘just so’, about things.  This card indicates this is a time for that, where things are done in the right order, and of the best class and standard.  You are not aiming for a pass in an exam, you are aiming for a first-class honour.  Such is the standard set by the Wizard card, and the Wizard in you.  Again, it’s not really about your ego, though it may appear to be, it’s about your own high standards.  Such goals are fine but in order to achieve, you have to be prepared for the extra work involved, which goes back to the point of remembering to have some fun in between the hard work.  There is success linked to this card, a time for being spotted for your talents, and for being given extra responsibility, enjoy such success and recognition and remember your friends and loved ones.  Happy wisdom week!

Lovely Scorpions, busy week? Are you seeing things start to take shape now? Is your design going to plan? I don’t think you have much to worry about here for you have the very industrious Spider card this week.  Such a creature will show you what to do, and if you think like them, how much you can achieve.  Spider’s words of guidance are, letting your light shine, individuality, facing challenges, and free-will.

Spider brings with it the chance to shape your own reality or continue to tweak and adjust it to ensure you regain control of it.  The question here for you is, are you being challenged to the point your project is under threat if you don’t take the reins or in this case reclaim your web’s threads? Try not to manipulate others into your way of thinking, let them spin their own webs as well.  Look for patterns and opportunities available to you now.  Something new could present itself, where you could ring the changes, and take advantage of them.  As this card speaks of destiny, fate and the paths you take to get there.  Some paths are temporary and come to an end, leading you in another direction, accept this, you didn’t necessarily take the wrong path, you just got diverted onto something that may have enhanced your life experience, or maybe to rescue you from a toxic situation.  But it’s important to get back on track for you have work to do still. 

This links nicely into cycles and repeated ways of doing things.  Patterns. Don’t continue to do something because that is the way it’s always been done, for familiarity means assured speed in carrying out a task, or, the same outcome. It could be the case here that you are being challenged by someone asking something different of you, they are just thinking differently, and for things to be successful some teamwork, and rethinking on your part would be suggested.  Whatever the situation you will be creative and have the opportunity to make some great changes.  Look ever so closely at the spider’s web, it’s never the same every time, threads break, they get destroyed, they have to move location, it appears the same but isn’t.  As dreams are woven, your success could be too.

An energetic sign, if not a restless one, that is itching for action.  Ready for this week’s card?  Wooooooooooooosh round we go with the Spiral.  It brings with it change, freedom, and a little bit of work on your part. By going through such motions, spinning as you go, the laws of attraction will bind things you need to you, and release you from things you don’t. Then like Tornado Gareth, off you go, moving on through your course.

The Spiral is the free form of the Cone, pure uncontained energy.  It spins around and around, gathering momentum, keeping your chakra’s aligned, attuned and charged. It is a symbol of both life and death, beginnings and endings.  Why has it come to you? It’s time to attract that which is needed for you at the moment, in order to make the next leg of your journey. But before you can go forward you need to do a quick check of what you have around you at the moment, then release anything you know in your gut and heart doesn’t need to continue with you anymore.  It may have served you well up until now, but its time may have come, so whatever ‘it’, or ‘who’, it is, the bell calls time. In doing so you’ll be free to fill the space created by such a release by attracting fresh ideas, people, and opportunities. Any mourning for the past will be temporary, as the happiness that replaces it is a sign you did the right thing. 

You find yourself literally having a cleanout at this time, stop before you do, don’t throw away something you dislike but actually need, at the same time don’t reject the ideas of things that you want to do, hopes and dreams, that as yet don’t have a place in your life.  Do your clearing with balance and thought.  If you stop spinning altogether or refuse to spin anti-clockwise to release the negatives or now spent things in your life, and you manage to resist the force pulling you clock-wise, you will find you feel bogged down, stuck and churned up.  Sometimes in releasing things, you don’t release the whole of them, but the negative aspects, so look carefully where you can just shave rather than shed. But this is a time of raw energy and power, which used to your advantage will serve you well.

Hey beautiful Aquarians, one of my favourite signs, so the water carrying people I know in my life are fiercely individual, pragmatic, and determined.  They are also wise, and knowledgeable.  What creature does this remind you of? An Owl!  And that is your card or creature this week.  They are the seers, the knowers, and the brave hunters in the night. Their souls run deep and go way back.

This lovely nocturnal bird picks up where the eagle leaves off and seeks its prey in the dark. It can see things and find its way through pitch-black depths we struggle to see past. With amber eyes, it can cut through smoke screens, and dry ice to see the reality of a situation.  Owl marks the end of one situation and allows the dawn to bring in new beginnings.  You may be facing endings and beginnings but changes that come with such wisdom you will know exactly what to do.  If an owl comes into your life it indicates that you are a down to earth soul, and as I said in my opening a very pragmatic one as well.  Dignified, and speaking only when it has to, flying silently minding its own business, it gets a lot done. You too will find you’ll do better at the moment if you are as alert, listening, watching and waiting for your time to do what you need to do.

An owl shows that your life direction has led you to places of wisdom and understanding and that you are (or have been) successfully navigating your way through some dark nights of the soul.  You are being advised to spend time in silence, away from the crowd, so that you can make very personal decisions about your life path and soul direction. An owl is watching and guiding your soul to its rightful place in the universe.  Trust the process and know that this time of separation from social situations is necessary so that you can hear the quieter song in your heart.  If your soul has been calling for direction, it is on its way.
