You’ve the Sun, Jupiter which rules this house, and now Mercury very much in forward motion again, arrives back in this house this week. Remember this is the first time Jupiter has been in here for 12 years offering you an unprecedented cycle of expansion, adventure, opportunity and luck. While the 11th is our house of goals, our 9th rules our big dreams and the visions we have for ourselves and our future. Where we want to get to, what we want to experience and the journey we must take between where we are now and there – all these are ruled by the 9th. Passion, fire, vision and confidence are therefore yours to spin a mighty dream to aim for. And Jupiter in here says reaching it is now more possible than at any other time.

Mercury remains within retrograde shadow for another 12 days. But this does not mean you cannot start the journey. Just have an alternative route or two in mind! This week also sees the Sun in your 9th trine Eris in your 1st. If you are familiar with mythology, you will know that Eris set in motion the events leading to the Trojan War simply because she wasn’t invited to a wedding. Eris could of course have decided that she didn’t want to go even if she had been invited. Instead, she got bent out of shape about it due to feeling this was a snub and she simply wasn’t good enough. Hence my question at the start of the forecast about settling for something. Your 9th isn’t about that. It’s about knowing there is no substitute for your dream and the journey itself makes everything worthwhile. So, don’t be content to ‘settle’ for anything less than what you truly want.

An analogy I like to use is thinking of your soul as being like a handbag. You have all of your personal possessions in there, you may lose things you wont get back but you can always find new and better. Your personal possession is YOU. Your soul is right there with you if only you’ll look inside.

Nobody can remove your love and your ability to bring new people into your life. Think of every person and experience in your life as ‘something borrowed’. We can of course believe in happy ever after but do not take it for granted – wake up each day and know that only you can make life what you want to make it – be the fool!

3) Temperance

You have to forgive yourself. Carrying guilt can turn to self hatred and this is incredibly disempowering.

Perhaps you can sense incompatability? Sexually or emotionally? You do not always have to give up. There are other ways to compromise that doesn’t mean completely letting go – you just have to be creative.

In keeping with my love of exploring the countryside I can be found in my village, with a camera taking photos, in, under, and around the hedges, in all weathers. Just after rainfall is my favourite time to go out and catch those snaps of my neighbour’s wild roses, with crystal ball like droplets still fresh and perfectly formed on their petals and leaves.

Some plants are not always obvious, for some like to hide; but take your time when you are out walking, and have a sneaky peek by your feet.

If you find a bluebell, under a hedgerow, the chances it was a site of a very old woodland and a is a very old hedge, and you should therefore consider looking at the other plants you find there, for there is much history and wisdom to be found here.

When I think on Tinkerbelle, the bluebell springs to mind as it is the fairies bell. A plot of bluebells should be walked through carefully and respectfully. Maybe take a path around it, for it is said to be unlucky to disturb these flowers. It is also one flower that doesn’t like to picked and taken into a home. Its magic is lost in its picking, and can be considered unlucky in tales of yore.

But stress not about folklore if you have picked these flowers before, for these are what superstitions come from.

I love its Latin name Endymion, who was Selene the moon Goddesses lover. Wanting to keep him and his gorgeousness all to herself she cast a spell on him making him sleep for eternity.

The Bluebell is also the flower of truth, and those wearing it cannot lie. Another lovely tale says that by turning out a bluebell inside out, and not breaking or harming it, you will find your true love.

Choosing this flower indicates on one level that there is already a sense of enchantment and natural harmony around you or it is soon to come in.

You are in the best place for you. If you were to trample through this or disturb this current happy place, you could upset the balance, look up again at the quote from W. B. Yeats.

It signifies a strong love connection, a long, honest and faithful one. Are you already happily with someone? Enjoy yourself, and go with the flow, don’t look for problems where there are none. If you are single, you could be about to enter a bluebell wood, and now find such a love.

Violet

The Flower of Modesty, or hiding your light under a bushel.
