Live Your Best Life Today! Removing Blockages to Success
Want to know the real reason why your goals aren’t manifesting or your Quantum Creating practice just seems stalled? Then go find a mirror and take a good, long look. And how many of you who do this have a reaction like: ‘Yuk! Bad hair day,’, ‘Those wrinkles! I need Botox . . .’ ‘Oh, God. Now I know why I avoid mirrors. Look at the size of my bum,’ or variations on this theme. And if this has been your reaction, or if you are constantly caught up in self-criticism, now you have your answer about why you’re not living the life of your dreams right now. Constant self-criticism and self-talk has nothing to do with wanting to be our best or take care of our bodies. It’s the constant inner nagging that says we’re not good enough the way we are right now. And if we’re not good enough that means we’re not deserving enough of all those things we want – a partner who loves and supports us, abundance in life, a lovely home, a dream job – those are reserved for people who are perfect and who have got their lives together and who have smaller thighs as well. Certainly not us!
There used to be an old joke about a woman who when asked when she would leave the husband who took her for granted would answer ‘When I lose 10 pounds’ and this joke sums up this blockage to happiness perfectly. In other words, we’ll get what we want later – when we’re perfect. The trouble with this attitude is it keeps us stuck. Because even if we lose that 10 pounds to whatever barrier it is we’ve erected to prevent us from being happy today, we’ll just go an erect another one. And here’s another secret – those ‘perfect’ people who are already living the kind of life you want aren’t perfect either. However, the reason they are living that life is that they practice self-love and replace self-talk with self-acceptance.
We all have faults – that’s because we’re human! On top of that, many of us have had less-than-perfect upbringings. Perhaps out of fear our caregivers criticised us or made us feel less than worthy of love, happiness and abundance. As we get older these opinions and experiences get turned into self-criticism and negative self-talk which runs as a constant loop in the background setting up an unconscious barrier between us and our goals simply because we think ourselves unworthy of having what we want in our present ‘imperfect’ state. We then channel energy into ‘fixing’ these imperfections – energy that could be better used in propelling us forward towards what we really want.
So, what can we do about it? First – go back to that mirror. You don’t have to like what you see but you can accept it. Your face, your body, your ‘faults’ are what got you this far. They make you – well, you. Love them! And now you’re looking closer, what about all the good things about you. And I’m not just talking about good features. What about your inner qualities? Yes, maybe you spend too much on clothes or occasionally drink too much, but what about your capacity to love? To be a supportive friend? Your sense of humour? Your generosity? Start a personal audit and list all your good features and qualities and stop focusing on your faults and imperfections – real or otherwise.
Self-love and self-acceptance has nothing to do with vanity or narcissism. It’s about loving yourself for your complexity as a human being. All the things you don’t like about yourself contain the key to your power. Unlock it and in doing so, you’ll remove those blockages and your true goal – happiness, will come flooding in.

Be Your Own Psychic – Discover Your Psychic Style
All of us have had a reading at some point that not only empowers us and tells us what we need to know but leaves us in a state of high-vibe positivity. Often this feeling stays with us for days after the reading and usually we can’t stop raving about the particular reader who left us feeling this way. If this has happened to you the chances are the reader was one who had developed her own signature psychic style. It’s not just about what they have to tell you but the way they deliver the information that makes it just resonate and empower you. This is what separates a good reader from a great one. So, if you’re in the process of developing your own psychic skills how do you set about developing your own signature psychic style?
First, don’t copy any one else! By all means use readers who have inspired you as just that – inspiration, but don’t try to copy their style of delivery. The reason they were able to help you is because of their individuality – their own unique way of interpreting the information they were given. So, it’s not a question of being someone else but being yourself! You unique way of delivering the information is what connects you to the person you are reading for. In your authenticity lies your psychic power!
Next, take out your Tarot or psychic journal and take a look at what you’ve written about previous readings you have either undertaken for yourself or for others. How are you describing the information you feel? What do you start off with? Do you describe emotions, physical sensations, sounds, images or colours? Usually when you check back through your entries or as an experiment, do a reading in answer to this question, one thing dominates. This gives you the ability to build your psychic style around it – think of it as the foundation. Say the first thing you always hone in on with your Tarot cards is the colours and the visuals – the scenery, clothing and visual feel as opposed to the traditional meaning of the cards. If so, you are a visual-oriented person and chances are visuals play a big part in your life – your home may have a lot of pictures and interesting things to look at. So, it is around visuals that you build the picture of what is going on with a clients life and these pictures you convey would be your signature style! You would use phrases such as ‘I see’ and ‘the colours that are coming through show me . . . ‘ If what comes through are feelings then you are connecting to the client on an emotional level so use feeling words in your readings to create your style as in ‘I get a very deep sense of . . . ‘ and so on.
As you connect to your style you will find that by describing the information you are given by using words that relate to it, you will not only start to access a new depth of information but will make a real connection to the person you are reading for. Of course, if you are reading for yourself this still applies but you will become more and more surprised at how much you had to tell yourself that really resonates within you. This is because it is your truth!
When we are developing our psychic abilities it is natural to be in awe of readers who really do have so much to tell us and do it so effortlessly. However, bear in mind that they too had to spend time connecting with and developing their own style to be able to do that! When you discover yours, a whole new dimension to your readings and psychic abilities will open up – just by you accessing the gifts that make you the unique individual you are.
Why Did You Have To Be A Heartbreaker? 5 Steps to Find Your Way Back to Love
When we open our hearts to someone, we give them our hearts. Sadly, sometimes that person doesn’t realise how precious and fragile that gift is and we end up broken-hearted instead. When this happens we can be in so much pain that we may not be able to see our way out of it – let alone envisage ever falling in love again. But heartbreak like any other wound, can be healed and in surprisingly few steps.
1. Feel, don’t block the pain. We’re hard-wired to avoid pain and head towards pleasure (or at least what we perceive to be the less painful of two choices!). If you’re reeling from a break up, the fastest way out is through acknowledging the hurt. While it may be tempting to try to numb it with alcohol or other means, the fact is that the sooner we allow ourselves to feel what we are feeling, the faster healing can begin.
2. Look for the lesson. Do you have a history of bad relationship choices? Do you fall in love with people who may look and seem different but the ending is always the same? If we don’t learn from our past we are doomed to keep repeating it until we do. Take your time and look for patterns or clues that may have been there from the start about where this relationship was ultimately headed and be honest with yourself.
3. Make a commitment to change. When you’ve identified the lessons then resolve to make changes. We can’t change someone else but we can change our behaviour. Learn to quickly identify if you’ve chosen the wrong kind of person again and end it before it goes any further. If you have a pattern of criticising your partner, learn to stop yourself. Or maybe you’re afraid to show your vulnerability with the result prospective partners don’t feel needed. You can only get a different result if you start acting differently!
4. Treat yourself right! If you don’t appreciate yourself how do you expect others to? We learn more from our failures than we do from our successes so please don’t get stuck in a cycle of negativity where you beat yourself up for making the wrong choice yet again. Instead, acknowledge how much you’ve learned and make a list of all the fabulous qualities you have to bring to a new relationship. Now – who wouldn’t want to date you?!
5. Have a vision for the future. Learn from the past but don’t dwell in it. Set yourself a relationship goal and now move on to making a list of the qualities you need in a partner based on what you’ve learned about yourself. The one thing a broken heart can teach us is about what we don’t need which can allow us to get very clear about what we do. You can only manifest something in your life when you have a very clear picture of what it is you need.
Remember, our soul contracts with others are there for our growth – even if the outcome isn’t always what we hoped for. Heartbreak can be devastating but at the end of the day we can use its lessons to find the true and lasting love we are seeking.

What Does Being Psychic Really Mean?
It’s a funny thing that even if this day and age with its freedom and supposed tolerance of all beliefs systems, that the term ‘psychic’ or being referred to as ‘psychic’ still has so much stigma attached. Despite the growing numbers of people who openly admit to using psychic services (and praising the psychic they consulted), continuing scientific research that validates psychic phenomena and articles in major newspapers and journals which have shown the benefits of a good psychic reading with a reputable psychic on wellbeing, the word ‘psychic’ in so many people’s minds still tends to be associated with something underhanded, dodgy or even a bit mad! No wonder that sometimes even professional psychics tend to look for a less emotionally-charged word when asked what their profession is – healer, light worker, empathy, intuitive or even quantum analyst as one reader likes to describe herself!
But why should we shy away from the term ‘psychic’ and why should it be so loaded? The word ‘psychic’ is derived from the Greek word ‘psyche’ which means “The concept of self that encompasses our understanding of soul, spirit, and mind.” So, being psychic means you have knowledge of the workings of the universe and the human soul experience which currently sits outside of what is scientifically probable (although we seem to be getting there with some of it!). By extension – meta (beyond) physics! To the ancient Greeks, there were events that took place in the world and in our lives that we could perceive ‘intuition’ but were beyond a physically tangible experience. Perhaps if we look at this in a different way a psychic is engaged in quantum entanglement – what Einstein referred to as ‘spooky action at a distance’ but on an intuitive level! So maybe the term ‘quantum analyst’ isn’t too far off the mark after all!
Far from seeing this as some kind of mental trickery or delusion, the Greeks held psychic ability in the highest esteem and the Pythia priestesses who presided at the Delphic Oracle were seen as being ‘connected to the divine’. But what about terms just as precognition and prescience? Unlike the word ‘psychic’ they are not as loaded. Precognition actually means ‘acquiring knowledge before’ while ‘prescience’ implies a divine or mystical source of the information. It appears that because the term ‘psychic’ has been linked to a source that is either not divine or else to people who have abused their gifts, it has ended up being associated with trickery and charlatans.
It shouldn’t matter what we call the ability to access this information. What matters is that all of us who proudly admit to having any kind of psychic ability uses it to empower people’s lives. And if you’re seeking a psychic then ask around for recommendations or check out our readers who are all tested at least four times and by me personally! That way you know the information you are receiving is truly ‘intuitive’, ‘precognitive’ or ‘psychic’ – whatever you want to call it!

Soul Work Wisdom: Getting the Job Done
What’s my purpose? Am I on the ‘right’ path? Should I be doing something more ‘spiritual’ with my life? Many of us ask ourselves these questions at various times in our lives – usually at a point where we are dissatisfied with our present employment situation. Perhaps you’re in that situation right now. Your job may not be as fulfilling as you’d like it to be or perhaps you just feel you are the proverbial square peg in the round hole. Perhaps you’re attempting to make changes – applying for something new or looking into upskilling or setting up your own business. Or your dreams of your life’s work are to express your creativity in some way or to help others – but right now it just doesn’t seem to be happening. If so, what can you do?
I recently saw the most amazing film called Searching for Sugar Man. It was a documentary about a singer/songwriter called Rodriguez who in the ‘70’s was signed to a record label only to fade into obscurity in his native United States. He spent the next 40 years working as a construction worker not knowing that during this time he had become bigger than Elvis in South Africa and that his songs were the anthem of the anti-apartheid movement. What struck me about this story was that even when he became aware of his fame on the other side of the world, Rodriguez did not treat his music or ‘celebrity’ as any more or less important than the manual construction work he had been doing. In other words, this man knew that all work undertaken with mindfulness and gratitude is spiritual work and no job is more important than another.
So, if you’re waiting for that career shift to come through, what lessons can you take from this story? As odd as it sounds, first – be grateful you have a job. Perhaps it is boring but it pays the bills. Also, when we are grateful for what we DO have the universe responds by sending us more to be grateful for. So, rather than focus on what’s wrong with your job right now, focus on the fact you have one. There are millions of people around the world who would be grateful for the work you are doing.
Second, detach from the things that annoy you about your work – no matter if it’s your boss, a co-worker or your customers. Don’t take anything personally. Remind yourself there are some things we can’t control in life and those things just aren’t worth pouring our energy into! Also, don’t take work stress home with you. Remind yourself that problems at work stay at work and make sure you have hobbies and pastimes that sustain and empower you outside for work hours. In work hours remember to pace yourself and take a break if you feel things are piling up.
Remember, we don’t need to know what our purpose or our ideal job is to be enjoying our work right now. You may try out several career paths before finding your ‘niche’. Look at what you are doing now as valuable experience. Who knows, skills you are acquiring at your present job may be ones you can use later in another area entirely.
By remembering that all work is spiritual work and we are here to have many life experiences, we then put ourselves in a position where opportunities open up for us. Know that what you are doing is important for you to experience in some way now – and then you will go on to have new and perhaps deeper and more satisfying experiences as a result of this. Our outer work reflects our level of inner work so if you want to change the kind of work you are doing, work on your inner mindset and the outer changes will surely follow.
Be Your Own Psychic – 5 Steps To Give Yourself A Psychic Reading
DIY psychic reading: 5 steps
Tarot cards, crystal balls and pendulums can all help you develop your psychic skills, but the most direct and powerful way to connect with your intuition is to go direct to the source – your own mind.
If you’re serious about connecting with your higher-self, you need to create some time for yourself. That means, entirely for yourself: no TV or radio on in the background, no looming work schedule, no children or pets about to pounce. Just you and a peaceful environment where you will not be disturbed.
Do whatever feels right to make yourself comfortable. Some people find that incense or evocative music helps, where others find it too distracting. You’ll know what feels right.
1. Centre yourself
Before you start using your psychic skills it is important that you clear your mind of any lingering thoughts of feelings that might be holding you back or needlessly distracting your focus.
One useful technique here is to focus on an imaginary spot in the centre of your head, or in the middle of your brain. This is a stable, grounding place where everything is level and harmonious. Remain in this headspace until any negative, or exciting, thoughts and feelings are levelled out.
Imagine your consciousness is a soft light that you have turned on, illuminating this level, calm place. When you feel centred and equalised you can move to the next level.
2. Ask your psychic self
What do you want to know? This is the point when you should think about what you need from your life right now and form a question in your mind. It’s better to have a clear idea of what you want to know, so that you will understand when your question is answered. For example ask, “What’s my perfect job.” Vague questions will produce unclear answers. Try to keep it fairly simple at first, as you are initially looking for a starting place that you can explore further later on.
Whatever your question, imagine that the ‘you’ asking the question is separate from the psychic part of you. Like you are the one visiting a wonderfully gifted psychic.
3. Scan yourself
You might be lucky and get some impressions as soon as you ask your question but if you are drawing a blank, don’t worry, give it a bit of time to work, especially if it’s the first time you’ve tried it. If it helps, imagine a screen inside your mind where images appear, these might just be colours or abstract shapes, some memories from the past might pop up on there, too.
Voices, sounds and music are the next things to concentrate on – is someone speaking to you? What’s their tone of voice? Is the voice yours or someone you know? What are they saying? Perhaps they are singing or perhaps you can hear music. Has a song or a tune popped into your mind?
Another thing to pay attention to is your body and your emotions. Do you feel unexplained sensations in your body or are you experiencing an unexpected emotional reaction? Note any odd or pleasant feelings and think about what these might be trying to tell you.
Naturally, occasionally you will just instantly know the answer to your question. You might have had absolutely no idea what the answer could be then instantly, you just know. It’s hard to describe, but when it happens there’s no doubt, it’s just a pure flash of psychic insight.
4. Taking it further
If you already have your answer, you might want to start all over again. But usually you’ll wish to explore the impressions you have already received, to flesh out the bones a little more. You’ll benefit from asking further questions about the impressions, sounds, feelings and images that have come to you in the last step.
Ask more about what you have already discovered. For example in asking about your perfect job, you saw a garden centre, or heard the word “animals”, or felt a ‘ping’ around your throat chakra… it’s time to open those impressions up so they reveal more information.
Ask where the garden centre is, what kind of animals, or what job could engage your throat chakra. Then do the same again… when more impressions come, ask more questions of them until you are satisfied with what you have.
If you know that you hear sounds easier than you see images, ask your question based primarily on sounds, “what does this job sound like”, or “what noise does the animal make”.
Don’t worry if you have nothing. Sometimes it does take practice, especially if you’re not used to looking inside yourself in this way. Don’t stretch yourself either, as you need to keep as tranquil as possible so that your own thoughts and feelings don’t interfere with your psychic impressions.
5. Back to the centre
When you have enough information, or feel it’s time to leave, you should thank your higher self for its assistance and return to your safe, centred spot in your mind. Stay there for as long as you like and when you feel equalised and ready to return to your world, do so by gently stretching or moving, feeling grounded and stable, back into your day.
If you still don’t have the direct answer you were looking for it can help to write down what you remember from your experience, even if it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense right now, you may be surprised at how many coincidences will point you back to the things you have picked up – and these will also help you paint a fuller picture of the answer you seek.

Reach for the Stars! Unlocking the Talent Within You
We all know the importance of role models but now a scientific study has proven that when it comes to success, having someone blaze a trail for us is not only inspirational, but a key factor.
Author and journalist Daniel Coyle began his research into what it takes to be successful when he identified three very different environments which seemed to consistently produce world-class performers and extraordinary results. On the surface they appeared to have nothing in common. A tennis club in Russia, a music academy in the Adirondacks and the streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Yet what consistently emerged from them were ground-breaking performances. Coyle embarked on a journey to discover what it was these ‘hotbeds’ of talent had in common and he published these findings in his book The Talent Code: Greatness Isn’t Born, It’s Grown.
What Coyle found was that these places had three crucial things in common. First, the students were engaged in what he calls “deep practice.” This required them to slow down their musical or athletic practices to the point where they were almost unrecognizable, so that mistakes became immediately apparent. In other words, to observe what they were doing in slow motion. In Brazil, this involved the popular game of futsal, a high speed indoor form of soccer with only five players per side in a compressed space, which allows much more ball contact than the full-field game. Coyle discovered that when we ‘slow down’ what we are doing we significantly increase the layering of a neurological protein known as myelin, which wraps around our neural circuits when they fire – and the more an activity is repeated, the more myelin develops in the brain. This increases electrical resistance across the cell membrane by a factor of 5,000 which exponentially increases the rate at which we learn!
Next, he noted that in environments which consistently produced champions, there was always a trailblazer, someone who had broken through who others could model themselves on. For female Russian tennis players, it was Anna Kournikova; for young baseball players from the tiny island nation of Curacao, it was Andrew Jones, who became the youngest player ever to hit two home runs in his debut World Series game in 1996; for Korean women golfers, it was Se Ri Pak, who won the U.S. Women’s Open tournament in 1998. Coyle calls this “ignition,” and the message is: “If they can do it, so can I.” Finally, he saw the importance of what he calls “master coaches” in terms of how they assess, motivate and communicate with their students.
The exciting part of this study is that it shows that talent isn’t just a spiritual gift that only some people are given but that it can be grown given the right tools! So, surround yourself with people who are on a similar path to you, find a coach or mentor if you can and look for a trailblazer – someone who has already accomplished the dream in the area you aspire to. Know that unless we believe in the ‘impossible’ the ‘impossible’ cannot be created. Follow the inspiration of those that have blazed a trail because the message really is: “If they can do it, so can you.”
