It's time to take this delicate 18th century ivory "Niño dormido" [Bottom] out of storage, fit him with a gold helmet and belt adorned with Colombian emeralds and the smallest pearls I have seen.

The First Miss Universe Philippines Candidate (1952) Teresita Sanchez.
Sorry for the late posting, I planned to post this in the days before the 2023 Miss Universe Pageant, but couldn't find it in my files. Someone should recommend a way for filing photos

Andres Bonifacio's last signature[Bottom] was laid on May 4, 1897 on a page of Military Court Proceedings that tried him for treason. That's six days before his execution. A better specimen of his flowing signature [Top] from an earlier document.
Between the signature and rubric or flourish, is his Katipunan name: MAYPAGASA, There is Hope.

Forgetting is indeed dangerous, remembering is action. These young people gave this jaded retired professor hope that the present may, someday, stop reading like the past.

Thanks to Mt. Cloud bookshop for organizing a well attended meet n greet. Cabinet of Curiosities sold out. National Artist Kidlat Tahimik came bearing gifts: Rizal in Bahag that should be on the cover of RWTO 35th year edition. We should do this again.
