Traffic in the past week has discouraged me from venturing out on any trip that requires a car. The upside of this situation is that I finally found time to reclaim my desk from clutter, reshelve books, and, most important, sort out papers.

Rizal drew this picture of people admiring a Christmas Tree for his nephews and nieces. It illustrated his Tagalog translation of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Fir Tree." The original manuscript remains unlocated and was believed destroyed during the Battle for Manila in 1945. Pls share.

This ink smudge in one of Rizal's letters made me jump. Is it his thumb mark? But its red. Is it someones kiss mark? The plot, or maybe my overactive imagination thickens, or maybe I was tired from hours of work in the Lopez Museum.. Pls share.
