New Tattoo
Add this stunner to the TM art tattoo collection… a new one from Tia K. Geez, what an honor it is when people do this. I'm blown away to be part of something like this with them. Body art is a lot bigger deal than print because it's permanent, so… very humbling for me.

THE RISING DEAD
Rachel Rising excerpt to appear in THE WALKING DEAD #95
THE WALKING DEAD #95, in stores on March 28, will have a five-page preview of Terry Moore's horror comic Rachel Rising, published by Moore's own Abstract Studio. The trade paperback collecting the first six issues of the ongoing series by the Strangers in Paradise creator, Rachel Rising: The Shadow of Death, will be in comic book stores the same day.
Rachel Rising tells the story of a young woman who cannot die. She wakes up at the foot of her own shallow grave, looking at her own freshly-murdered corpse. The events of her last night are hazy, and Rachel must piece together the events that led to her death — so that she can take revenge on the right person. Comic Book Resources described Rachel Rising as being "chock full of decadent mystery, unspeakable horror, strong characters, and beautiful black and white artwork, and it's on its way to becoming the best of Terry Moore's already impressive work."
THE WALKING DEAD creator Robert Kirkman decided to include the preview in the latest issue of the Image Comics bestseller to support Moore's work.
"Terry is a personal hero of mine dating back to my self-publishing days," he writes in his introduction to the preview. "I've always been a fan of his work and an admirer of everything he's been able to accomplish independently."
THE WALKING DEAD #95 by Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, and Cliff Rathburn continues the series' "A Larger World" storyline. Rachel Rising: The Shadow of Death (ISBN 978-1-89259-751-9) is a 120-page black-and-white trade paperback.

My cover for The Wonderland Chronicles
The Wonderland Chronicles by Ben Avery and Casey Heying is a wonderfully fun series utilizing the Frank Baum characters for new stories in the same way Fables does with classic fairy tales characters. Competing with the original creator for reader's hearts is not easy, but Avery and Heying manage to entertain and delight with new ideas and fresh stories.
I'd noticed TWC around for a few years before I finally grabbed a copy at a show and read it and loved it. So, last year when they approached me to draw a cover for the book, I happily agreed. That book is now out— TWC Book Two (as in TPB #2) ISBN 978098287501851999— and available at finer stores everywhere. Barnes & Noble has the trade listed at $10.52, which is a great price from the $20 retail. Notice that Comics Buyer's Guide gave it four stars? There's a reason for that. Check it out. Highly recommended.
(The cover is also for the new individual issue—The Oz/Wonderland Chronicles: Jack & Cat Tales #3)

How To Draw Funny
Here's a first look at the cover to How To Draw Funny, used in this ad for the Diamond Comics distributor catalog. As you can see, the image offers an accurate portrayal of what it's like to be a cartoonist.
Kiss me, Katchoo!
Coolness. Katchoo & Francine's first serious give-it-to-me kiss made the Best Kiss list at afterellen.com amid a slew of film/tv kisses.
If you care at all about that, you may be interested to know that Francine and Katchoo will emerge from their self-imposed sabbatical next year, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Strangers In Paradise in 2013. That's all I can say at this point.

Torino Comics festival & me, yep!
Next month, April 13-15, is the Torino Comics festival and I'll be there. We've got all the arrangements made and we're so ready to go. It's been about a year since Robyn and I were last in Italy. I'm really looking forward to going back because the Italian fans are like no other—a comics festival in Italy is a very happy place to be! This will be my only Italian stop for 2012, so whether you live north or south, I hope you will be able to come up to Torino and join in the fun.
The festival organizers are making a special festival-only printing of my 64 page sketchbook Hot Girls Cold Feet. It will be a very limited print run, so you have to come to the show to get one, they won't be sold after the show.
Torino Comics will have an Italian version of this beauty
I'll keep you posted as we get closer to the date, but mark your calendars. It's going to be a great weekend.
