Dear Former Homeowner,

This post is a part of a new series on my site entitled “Dear ______,” where I plan to write letters to sometimes specific and other times general people. If you want to read more of these, you can see the ones I’ve written thus far here .

Buying a house is definitely one of the most stressful parts of adult life, especially when facing down a seller’s disclosure. Did they tell you everything they know about the house? Are they hiding something or lying to you? Will you be walking into your d...

Dear Home Restoration Co.

This post is a part of a new series on my site entitled “Dear ______,” where I plan to write letters to sometimes specific and other times general people. If you want to read more of these, you can see the ones I’ve written thus far here .

Where to begin. As an author, I’m supposed to be good with words, but holy smokes folks, this story is so #$%* that it’s difficult to know where to begin. Fair warning: This will be long, but worth the read.

Dear Currently Unnamed Home Restoration Compan...

Award Season Reminder

This is just a reminder about award nomination/voting times and eligibility… Consider it your Award Season Reminder!

Last year in 2018, I released two books:

Amaskan’s War (Book II of the Boahim Trilogy), which is fantasy From the Worlds of Raven Oak: A Coloring Book , which counts as an art book

So what can you as a reader vote for? Quite a bit. First, voting for the Locus Awards has opened up. Anyone can vote, so if you enjoy science fiction & fantasy, head over and vote! If something you’ve...

Award-winning series

Amaskan’s Blood won the 2017 Ozma Fantasy Award and was an EPIC Awards’ Finalist, so imagine my surprise to learn that Amaskan’s War, Book II in the Boahim Trilogy, is a finalist in the UK’s Wishing Shelf YA Book Award! I guess that means I have an award-winning series on my hands.

It was read and nominated by tons of YA readers over in the UK and sometime in April, I’ll find out if it won!

Finalist medal.

Into the Rainforest

I’m currently packing up and preparing for a drive tomorrow (2/27) where I’ll be heading into the rainforest of Washington State as part of a writers retreat. No Internet, wifi, or cell for five days. Just me, my computer, and a lot of words! (And a lot of other writers doing the same thing!)

Expect a lack of “me” on the website and social media front until my return on Sunday evening. Until then, I’ll be writing, writing, and writing!

If you missed the live stream, you can watch it now on YouTube:
