1963 Pontiac Catalina Safari wagon. Brooklin General Store.
Henry Behrens photos. If you've been Autoliterate for a while, you're aware that we are Catalina fans. (Try Catalina in our search widget.) We posted more on this wagon a couple years ago. Local favorite. Here''s a '78 Catalina wagon that was for sale a while back with shockingly low miles

Wheelbarrow truck: The Ford Courier
Matthew Sheehey found the truck in Thurmont, MD. You know how much we admire the genre of wheelbarrow trucks. Compare to the monstrous behemoths now swallowing the truckscape. On the other hand we do like this F-350, almost handmade in Maine. Here; another Courier out in the East Bay. And maybe our favo(u)rite F-250 was in Banff.

c.1990 Volvo 240 wagon. Brooklin Maine
Didn't we post this car last week? No, that was another blue c.1990 Volvo 240 wagon here in Maine. The problem with these is that there are so many of them still on the road, thirty-odd years later, even here in salty New England. And probably the place to go with them when ya have a problem is not the dealer, but a shop like Independent Auto in Augusta, Maine, where they know all about the crankiness & peculiarities of the Swedish. And you must have seen our posts on the Cambridge Volvo pack.

1990 Ford Crown Victoria. Ellsworth, Maine
When it isn't raining there is a box of chalk on the bumper, and all are invited to draw on the hood. We posted Martin Gotfrit's Crown Vic poem a while back. And we have posted a (retired) Crown Vic Police Interceptor.

Ford F-150 Redneck Edition
Okay, we're not talking politics. Solid truck. Don't really know how to read the barbed wire graphic. Keeping in, or out?

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. Vermont.
Bruno Spadola caught the Chevy. Remember our post on Earl Swift's book about the '57 wagon? And we posted a '57 Nomad from the Bay Area. A '57 210 wagon in Saskatchewan. And a '57 210 that is a weekend warrior at the Winterport (ME) drag strip.

1967 International 908B
Amanda Gersh caught the truck, and its companion Morris Minor, in the other Portland. We've done many I-H trucks; this original R-120 in (where else?) Saskatchewan is a favo(u)rite. We posted a Morris Minor van a while back. And then there is the Morris Minor 1000 Estate that was a work-in-progress here in Brooklin, Maine. I'm not sure anyone in America would have bought a new car called a Minor. Seems a little low self-esteem. Here's a piece we posted on
