1962 GMC C-10, Brooklin Boatyard
Works for us. Everything about this truck. The era. Learned standard on an Apache 10 working as a hand at the GH Ranch in Alberta. Dodging the Mounties on the section road, eh? Coming home from the beer parlour in Sundre.

1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
Caught the Monte Carlo in Lowell, Mass. We have posted a tuned 1984 Monte Carlo,, and a very sharp 1980 Monte Carlo in NJ. One competitor was Ford's Torino. And you might recall our post on Jack Kerouac and Lowell.

Ford Police Interceptor Utility, Harvard Square.
AL likes the PI's because of the absence of trim and gewgaws; or maybe it's just the dog-dish hubcaps. Ford offers the current-generation Police Interceptor Utility as "the first-ever pursuit-rated hybrid police SUV." Caught this one in Harvard Square. We posted a Crown Vic Interceptor a while back. And then there was the Renault 10 from the Service de Police de Ville de Montréal.

SWB Ram 1500 Cambridge
We like SWB trucks. Don't see many of them. Especially in Cambridge. The Texas C-10 is one. Posted a bunch of others, mostly owned by Devta Doolan.

Last Fast
The four-door sedan with an internal combustion engine is approaching extinction in the US. Rare to catch a Charger in Tesla-infused Cambridge, but this c. 2010 Dodge was lodged on Memorial Drive on a sunny September Sunday. Model year 2023 is Last Call for the Charger.

Honda Stepwgn, El Camino, Porsche 911 Targa
Back in Cambridge, Yonah found "a rare Targa model of the Porsche 911". Did you catch the Porsche 1600 we posted earlier this week?

1965 Ford Falcon, Palm Springs.
That '62 Falcon Ranchero we posted last spring was a classic wheelbarrow truck. A '61 Falcon has us thinking about Robert McNamara. And then there was the '63 Falcon Futura and the pays d'en haut.

1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu
From Markus Anstadt: "1971 Chevelle Malibu. Base model, not an SS or other variant. Pillarless 2 door hardtop. Looks like it just rolled out of a Chevrolet dealer showroom."AL: we love these kinda ordinary vernacular cars-of-the-period that seem to have been preserved rather than restored. Don't know the story on this Chevelle, but someone has been taking care of it. Looks like the wheels are aftermarket, though. Might have been a high school assistant-principal's car. Might also be a sleeper. At one time or another, might have been both. We posted a 1968 Chevelle last spring. And here's a 1972 Chevelle with a 350, from Maine. And a tuned 1976 Chevelle station wagon, one of our favorite cars, spotted in a supermarket parking lot in Colorado Springs.

1979 Volvo 245 DL
We admire these relentless Volvo wagons. This one's a manual trans, got some miles, from California, and it's on the block at Hemmings. We have posted many of these wagons from Cambridge, MA where they used to nest on the east coast.

Porsche 1600, Muskrat Street.
From Alex Emond: This little German machine was on Muskrat Street, in Banff ... the owner was visiting Heinz, drinking coffee. What a sweet machine . I'll let the pictures do the talking..."Maybe the last Porsche we posted was Pat Rogers' Speedster, in West Texas. Then. there is the Porsche C, also in Marfa. And 2 Porsche SC coupes that Alex caught in Banff a while back.
