A History of Silence | A NaNoWriMo Journey Begins

Today at approximately 3:30 AM I woke and started drafting an outline for my 2014 NaNoWriMo project, “A History of Silence.” I have had the general idea for the story for a few months, but it didn’t become the solidly build skeleton of three-act structure until today.


A History of Silence is the story of India, a young girl who must fight the silence inherent in her abusive upbringing to solve the mystery of her mother’s disappearance.

“Best in Show” by Adan Ramie: Thain in Vain Flash Fiction Challenge

I was skeptical about this week’s prompt from Thain in Vain, but as I stared into those big, dark eyes, a story started to form without much of my help. It’s a little more sci-fi than I’m accustomed to, but I enjoyed writing it.
