“Best in Show” by Adan Ramie: Thain in Vain Flash Fiction Challenge

I was skeptical about this week’s prompt from Thain in Vain, but as I stared into those big, dark eyes, a story started to form without much of my help. It’s a little more sci-fi than I’m accustomed to, but I enjoyed writing it.
