Emmanuel Macron Against Marine Le Pen To Become French President On May 7th 2017

As expected, the first round of the French Presidential elections yesterday sent Marine Le Pen to face off against Emmanuel Macron. This is populism versus elitism.  the people against the establishment and a vote in favour against nationalism. Polls suggest that Macron will win the second round and become French President but I’m sure he’s going to have a fight on his hands. Allez Marine!

Theresa May Calls Early UK Election For June 8th: Brexit Central Campaign Issue

UK Prime Minister announced early elections for June 8th yesterday taking advantage of the only window before Brexit negotiations begin in all seriousness. Given the Conservatives clear lead in the polls and divisions amongst the Labour ranks, Ms May looks set to win a strong majority in the House of Commons, which will stand her in good stead over the negotiation period and also give her three more years mandate once that is over. Labour is a mess, Lib-Dems and SNP will argue the Remain/Soft Brexit case but the Elephant in the Room could well be UKIP, especially if Nigel Farage returns as leader.

Psychopath, Sociopath or Black Narcissus? The Disturbing Case Of Steve Stephens

On Sunday Cleveland, Ohio man Steve Stephens killed fellow Cleveland inhabitant Robert Godwin and then posted the video to Facebook. He later livestreamed to Facebook from his car claiming that he had killed 13 more and blaming his break-up with his girlfriend for the killing. Is he a sociopath or a psychopath? I doubt it. I think a combination of being able to grab 15 minutes of fame through social media, a lack of empathy and the SJW victimhood narrative combine to encourage a pathological level of narcissism. Sadly, I expect events such as this to become an increasingly common occurrence.
