Saint Petersburg Metro Blast April 3rd 2017: Some Thoughts

It is still unclear whether those responsible for Monday’s bomb attack on the Saint Peterburg metro were Chechen rebels or ISIS but it is clear that whoever it was, they are probably Islamists. There is concern that the bomb explosion heralds the start of a new wave of terrorist attacks.

French Election Update: Le Pen, Macron And The Dark Horse Mélenchon

Current polls show Marine Le Pen on 25% and Emmanuel Macron on 26% so it looks like these are the front runners to make it into the second round. However, far left candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon of Unsubmissive France seems to be shaping up as increasingly feasible alternative so there may be time for a surprise. Another point that most pundits fail to point out is that there are French legislative elections coming up in June. At the moment, the French Assembly is dominated by the Socialist Party and The Republicans but if neither gets their candidate through to the second round of the Presidentials, it seems likely that the make up of the Assembly will change with the Front National, who only have two seats at the moment, likely to become a major force in the Assembly.

Freedom Of Speech vs Hate Speech: It’s A Political Issue!

The blurred lines between incitement to extremism and words that might provoke division and hatred is the ground in which political correctness flourishes. The concept of hate speech is a direct attack on our freedom of speech. Free speech is an endangered species and needs protection.

Brexit and Scotland: How Will Triggering Article 50 Affect Scottish Independence?

The triggering of Article 50 seems to have triggered Scotland’s First Minister to do some triggering herself and formally request another referendum on Scottish independence before the Brexit process is complete in 2019. It is unlikely that British Prime Minister Theresa May will agree to this and I think that the by 2012 the benificial effects of Brexit will be more visible. It also seems probable that even more cracks will be appearing in the rather fragile EU so I very much doubt whether the SCots will be interested in leaving a successful UK to rejoin a sinking European Union.

Brexit Begins: Theresa May’s Parliamentary Statement On Triggering Article 50

British Prime Minister Theresa May sent the official letter to EU Council President Donalsd Tusk officially invoking Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty so the Brexit process by which the UK leaves the European Union has officially begun. In her speech she taled about strengthening the bonds between the four nations of the UK and of becoming a truly global Britain through partnerships with countries all around the world. She also said that a successful Brexit negotiation was in the interests of both the EU and the UK.

YouTube Censorship Update: Punk, Freedom Of Speech And The Means Of Production

John Lydon AKA Sex Pistols’ Johnny Rotten admitted that he was in favour of Brexit and supported Donald Trump and led InfowWars’ journalist Paul Joseph Watson to make a video entitled “Populism is the New Punk” stating that conservatism is counter-culture. In the context of the current censorship clampdown on YouTube and Google, there are obvious parallels between how the establishment managed to shut down punk. The experience should help us to avert the same thing happening to the Internet.

Content Creators Alliance Against Censorship on YouTube and Google: Join The Fight!

What with all this talk about Fake News and how it helped Donald Trump win the election the Establishment and the Mainstream Media have realised that they have their backs against the wall. That’s why companies have started pulling their advertising from YouTube and also why YouTube has started demonitising videos and has created Restricted Mode so as to make the Alternastive Media Independent. Popular YouTuber Styxhexenhammer666 proposed an alliance of content creators to fight against this and I’ve joined. Check out the links below and subscribe to my comrades channels.

EU 60th Anniversary: Past, Present And Future Of The European Project

The Treaty of Rome, which is considered the founding document of the European Union, was signed on March 25th 1957 so this weekend the EU has been celebrating its 60th birthday in Rome. However, Brexit along with the economic and migrant crises have meant that what was meant to be a party has become something of a disappointment. The EU is a failed project and I believe it’s unlikely to last long into the the next decade.

Canada’s M-103 Blasphemy Motion: A Direct Challenge To Freedom Of Speech

On the same day as the jihadi terrorist attack in Westminster, Canada passed a motion that specified Islamophobia as a problem. This was an attack on freedom of speech and the thin end of a Creeping Sharia wedge.

London Terror Attack: We Have To Talk Honestly About The Problem

At 2.40 pm GMT yesterday March 22nd, a car entered Westminster Bridge and proceeded to mow down a number of pedestrians. The driver then ran towards the Houses of Parliament and killed a policeman before he was shot dead. Politicians have come up with the typical platitudes without addressing the problem, firstly, of the Islamic ideology that underlies this and the intervention of Western military that stokes the fire.
