The Treaty of Rome, which is considered the founding document of the European Union, was signed on March 25th 1957 so this weekend the EU has been celebrating its 60th birthday in Rome. However, Brexit along with the economic and migrant crises have meant that what was meant to be a party has become something of a disappointment. The EU is a failed project and I believe it’s unlikely to last long into the the next decade.
