Inspiration with music
Inspiration for a novel for me comes in many forms.
I always listen to a soundtrack when writing, this puts me in a mood and I feel points my storytelling in a more dramatised direction. Plus I don’t like silence. ^_^
Hear is some music I listen to and are also great movies;
Donnie Darko and Cypher score by Michael Andrews
Blade Runner by Vangelis
The Fountain movie score
La Planète Sauvage soundtrack by Alain Goraguer
Some others are:
Apollo by Brian Eno
Music by my brother Kane Ikin and Solo Andata

Character – Agarus
Here is the silhouette of Agarus (A White Knight)
I always thought even though he had a long lizard shape, he would tend to never sit like one. More acrobatic, like balancing on his tail as shown. Ahh Agarus ^_^

Scrivener Word Processor
I wrote my entire novel on Scrivener and it’s been a dream to use, actually I only set it up once and left it like that for over three years. I linked the main manuscript to Dropbox and then used them on a few different macs across the globe.
I can easily export single or multi chapters for my editor.
Some things I like are the full screen mode and the simplicity of having the just the paper on the screen. No crap.
The ability to put all my chapters in separate folders has been fundamental in organising the massive amounts of chaos called a novel. I dont know how I would of done it otherwise. See below. I also wrote chapter to chapter from the views of two protagonist, I like that I can assign icons for them to make it even clearer.
I’m not one for the notes/cork board section though. I find I’m more of a diary person and scribble all my information on various bits of paper. Thats how I work over the years, some how it works.
