“I’m too drunk for dick jokes.”

“Too drunk is the exact right time for dick jokes.” She stretches her legs out and plops her feet into Nico’s lap. Nico glares down at her feet and thinks about shoving them off, but decides to leave them there. Her toenails are painted purple. It’s cute.

“You’re cute,” he tells her, holding his thumb and index finger parallel in front of his face. “Tiny and cute, like this.”

Gwen laughs. And laughs. And laughs some more until Nico starts to laugh, too. “Oh wow, you are too drunk.”

ARC Book Review for Broken Records by @lilahsuzanne

Broken Records was
a wonderful read. It’s a lovely romantic tale that tells the story of Nico and
Grady. They come from very different backgrounds, but end up in the intertwined
worlds of fashion and music.

Lilah offers rich descriptions of what the characters wear
as it speaks to their personalities, while the music speaks to their hearts. Oh
and I loved Grady’s hobby. So cute! But you have to read the story to find out
what it is!

If you’re a fan of Lilah’s previous two novels, then Broken Records is a must read. If you’re new to her writing, she crafts stories that tug at your heartstrings, have dumb boys in love that make you swoon (including some pretty hot scenes), and interesting supporting characters that enrich the world of these stories.

(minor spoilers below the cut)

Advance Readers Needed

I’m looking for anyone who would like to review Broken Records on Tumblr and elsewhere to help me drum up some excitement prior to the Dec. 17 release date. Be the first to read it and let me know what you think! And let’s make it fun: The first five people to reply or message me with the lyrics missing from these classic country tunes will get an ebook of Broken Records weeks before its debut!

1. I’m crazy for trying/ And crazy for crying / And I’m crazy for ___ ___

2. When tears come down / Like ___ ___ / You’ll toss around / And call my name

3. Far from Folsom Prison ___ ___ ___ want to stay / And I’d let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away

4. But above all this / I wish you love / I love you / I ___ ___ love you

5. Each time we say is the last time / But we ___ ___ ___

Ready? Go!
