Etch A Sketch Unlocked

image

The secret to this art form is knowing that it can draw in other directions than horizontal and vertical.

If you give your kid one for Christmas, be sure to tell them; the hours they spend with it will grow exponentially. The best part is that it doesn’t take batteries. :)

Misguided

2014-12-20 16.51.14

Talking of wishes upon the stars quit working

The universe ended up empty, indifferent

These gods were only made of paper and ink

Then in the end we are, everyone misguided

WordPress – BLOODY STOP IT!

Johnny Ojanpera:

It’s unanimous. Coherent notifications should be a given.

AGAIN they have changed something. Now the notifications is completely WRONG! You have to scroll down them, there is not the choice to right-click and “Open In A New Tab” or even just click and open notifications. I am getting sick of all these damn changes. You are not improving the experience, you are making it worse.

A Minor Part in a Major Play

Originally posted on Underground Energy:

I have played minor parts in major plays and major parts in minor plays, but mostly I have played major parts in major plays. So, in audition #876,032 I would just like to say that I don’t need much. A minor part in a major play is enough.

Take #1:

A soft pillow underneath your head

A wrapped blanket to keep you warm

The vast backdrop of the night sky

A light to keep you safe from harm

The strength to live another day

An ardent hug when times are hard

A patie...

Music Theme – The Winter Solstice

Bear picked our theme this week. It prompted me to look back on our music themes to see all of the great topics we have covered. The entrance into winter has always been the time that I take a sort of inventory of my experiences, and maybe even an assessment of who I have become throughout the year. So far, I still don’t like to be cold, and I have been known to be vocal about it. On the other hand, I was quite productive this year. I managed to publish two books, wrote tens of thousands of w...

Ascention To Liberation ~ A Duet With Antanya St. John

image

There are things that thrive in dark places,

Rather than die.

I prefer light, bright honest spaces,

Rather than lie.

Sometimes it is necessary

To expand our comfortable periphery,

Or else end in purgatory.

When needs are met, scruples become secondary.

A telling, more true than every word humming,

I can see it in my own eyes.

The darkest places in me reside,

My desire is for light and a possibility.

To become as wide-eyed,

As only one can in the mind.

As my soul opens to opportunity,

I confidently approach...

Uprising – Featuring Callum McLaughlin

image

Prison of flesh and blood, bars of broken bone

Long forgotten whispers flow on tainted blood

In with the tide as dawn incites the memories

The world battered, every dot of poison creeps in

Drifting now in the dull ache of a barren dusk

A former light, the feast for toxic tongues

Open eyed, thirsty, they listen as if drawn

By a lie so believable, fiction surreal

Themelancholy afterglow, concealed from lifeless eyes

Unbearable burdens, born of vicious verse

Will our verse become as their raucous cries?
