BOKO HARAM DECLARES 'ISLAMIC STATE' IN NORTHERN NIGERIA.

Abubakar Shekau, leader of the Nigerian militant group Boko Haram was speaking earlier this month in a video released congratulating his fellow fighters for seizing the town of Gwoza, in northern Nigeria. Although, Nigeria's military spokesman Chris Olukolade, responded with a statement dismissing the declaration but regard it as "empty", stating that "The sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Nigerian state is still intact," he said. SCHOOLTEACHER CAUGHT WITH HUNDREDS OF CHILD PORN IMAGES.

A Year Ten school science teacher at the Park Education Support Centre in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, Mark Edwards-Jones, 59, was found with more than 200 images of child pornography after his internet service provider noticed he was downloading indecent images and alerted police. While under interrogation, Edwards-Jones told police he thought it was legal to view child abuse images in private has been thrown out of the profession. FORMER HHS CYBER SECURITY CHIEF CONVICTED IN CHILD PORN CASE.

A former acting director of cyber security for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Timothy DeFoggi, 56, was convicted Tuesday on federal charges of engaging in a child exploitation enterprise, conspiracy to advertise and distribute child pornography, and accessing a computer with intent to view child pornography. According to Nebraska court records, while DeFoggi was a resident of the Washington, D.C. bedroom community of Germantown, Maryland, he used two screen aliases to communicate on the underground child-pornsite: 'F***Christ' and 'PT***eater'. 'Through the website, DeFoggi accessed child pornography, solicited child pornography from other members, and exchanged private messages with other members where he expressed an interest in the violent rape and murder of children.' even suggested meeting one member in person,' the DOJ statement added, ' to fulfill their mutual fantasies to violently rape and murder children.' ALABAMA COUPLE CHARGED WITH RAPE IN BID TO IMPREGNATE GIRL.

Jeremy and Amanda Swann, both 29-year-old residents of Jones, about 40 miles northwest of Montgomery, were arrested on Thursday following allegation of raping a 17-year-old relative multiple times in an unsuccessful attempt to impregnate her so they could keep the baby, prosecutors said Monday. According to Selma-based Assistant District Attorney Elliott Lipinsky, "It's extremely disturbing," said Lipinsky, who is prosecuting the case. TEACHER OF THE YEAR CHARGED WITH 5 FELONIES OVER ALLEGED SEX WITH STUDENT

A reigning North Dakota English teacher of the year Aaron Knodel, 25, a husband, father and highly regarded high school teacher at West Fargo High School was charged Friday with five felony counts for allegedly having sexual contact with a female student more than five years ago. Authorities say the incidents happened in February or March of 2009, including twice in a classroom, twice at Knodel's residence and once in the victim's car. The alleged victim was 17 years old at the time. David Flowers, superintendent of schools at West Fargo, said at a press conference Friday that he is recommending that Knodel be placed on suspension without pay or benefits until the case is decided. Preston Crown Court Judge Christopher Cornwall sentenced a man, 76, to jail for three years. The allege man, John Mead, was a physics and math’s master at fee-paying Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Blackburn, Lancashire, organized school trips to youth hostels so he could abuse young boys in his care. Amongst his victims were attacks of three boys, all aged under 13, during the 1970s. Caleb Ruh, 29, a child molester who sexually abused a 7-year-old girl has claimed that he can't be held responsible for his action because he suffers from a condition called 'sexsomnia' and was asleep when he attacked her. According to his defense, he acclaimed have taken anti-anxiety drug Xanax and was 'sleep sexing' when he grabbed the girl at his home in Flagler County, Florida, in July 2012 and tried to kiss and fondle her. Robyn Hannaway, 20, a good samaritan was the victim of a sickening attack after she went to investigate screams coming from a park describes her ordeal. According to Miss Hannaway, she was on her way home in Hamilton; Lanarkshire when she heard raised voices and feared a woman was being assaulted. But while she was looking for the victim, she was knocked out, her purse was taken and she had knife wounds to her face and stomach. TWO BOYS, AGED 15 AND 16, ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF MURDERING 18-YEAR-OLD MAN IN DAYLIGHT ATTACK.

Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, whose names has been withheld for security reasons have been arrested on suspicion of murdering an 18-year-old man, Aqeel Khan, in a daylight attack while a 21-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the incident yesterday afternoon. Aqeel Khan was found with suspected stab wounds around 4.20pm in Watford, Hertfordshire, yesterday afternoon. Detective Inspector Jon McAdam from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: 'Our investigations into this incident are continuing and further arrests have now been made.
