“What Did You Say?” A Faster Way to Make Quotes in Korean | Korean FAQ

I made a quick summary about how to make simple Korean quotes, and how to ask someone to repeat themselves. This might be a better way to ask someone what they said, rather than simply repeating “뭐라고요?” every single time.

“Bring” & “Take” (가지다, 데리다, 모시다, 챙기다, etc.) | Live Class Abridged

In my most recent live Korean classroom we learned all of the most common verbs for saying “bring” and “take.” This was a very info-packed lesson, as there are lots of verbs that can mean these. For each we also did an example sentence.

I created FREE Korean language CHEAT SHEETS

I created a pack of SIX Korean language cheat sheets for beginning level learners, and today you can download them all for free. To get them, you’ll need to sign up for my Patreon, and they’re available on the free tier. There are also HD versions if you need, which are in any of my paid tiers. The SD versions are suitable to be printed at high quality on a regular size piece of paper, and the HD versions are if you’d like to print them on a giant poster or something.

If there’s enough interest I’d like to make more of these, as I have several ideas I couldn’t finish this time because I only planned to make 6 for this first batch. Let me know what you think!

This Vowel Has TWO Pronunciations | Korean FAQ

Did you know that the vowel (technically “diphthong”) ㅚ has two different ways of pronouncing it? It can be pronounced as either ㅚ (ㅗ + ㅐ) or as ㅞ (ㅜ + ㅔ). Both are correct, and in some words it’s important to know this.

~겠거니 하다 “To Assume” | Live Class Abridged

~겠거니 하다 is a fairly common form that you’re likely to encounter, and it’s advanced level. In my most recent live stream on Sunday I taught about this form, which is used in a similar way as the form 줄(을) 알다, but with one big difference – it’s neutral. I also explained where this form comes from, and its literal meaning.
