Funny How Outerspace Is
I got the chance to retire at the ripe old age ofFifty-Three.This pastJune 6thmy youngest graduated fromHigh School.So,for just about ten years I had kids going to school.Five of them in2008.I found that the only way to get through thoseTeenage High School Yearswas to have a sense of humor. I hope you have one too!
A blond, a brunette, and a redhead are interviewing for a new NASA experiment on sending women to different planets.First, the panel of scientists asks the brunette,"If you could go to any planet, what planet would you choose and why?"She answers promptly,"I would go to Mars because it seems so interesting with all the recent news about possible extra terrestrial life on the planet."Next, the panel asks the redhead the same question.Without any hesitation, she replies,"I'd like to go to Saturn to see all of its rings."Finally, the NASA scientists ask the blonde the same question they asked the brunette and the redhead.After pondering for several minutes, she finally answers,"I would go to the sun."Several scientists suppress a laugh, but the lead interviewer, trying to take the blonde seriously, explains,"Well, if you went to the sun, you'd burn to death almost instantaneously."The blond smirks and puts her hands on her hips."Don't be stupid! Clean Meat
I first heard about this on the podcastStar Talk Radio.WhereNeil deGrasse TysoninterviewsPaul Shapiroon his book called,(Are you ready for this?)"Clean Meat."OnThe Good Food Institute'sweb-site,cleanmeat.og,they explain whatClean Meatis.
In case you have not heard about it before.
WHAT IS CLEAN MEAT? Clean meat, which is also referred to as "cultured meat," is a groundbreaking technology that is poised to revolutionize the global food system.
Rather than obtaining meat from animals raised on environmentally destructive factory farms and slaughtered in filthy slaughterhouses, clean meat is produced by taking a small sample of animal cells and replicating them in a culture outside of the animal. The resulting product is 100 percent real meat, but without the antibiotics, E. coli, salmonella, or waste contamination – all of which come standard in conventional meat production.
Dr. Mark Post of Maastricht University proved meat could be created this way when he debuted the first clean meat hamburger in London in 2013–at a cost of roughly $330,000.
To put the developments of the past few years into perspective, the San Francisco startup Memphis Meats is now producing clean meat for $40 per gram, which is less than one - fiftieth of the cost from just a few years ago. And Dr. Post’s company, Mosa Meats, plans to sell its clean meat hamburgers for $10 a patty by 2020.
The end goal is to produce clean meat that is cheaper than even the least expensive conventionally produced chicken. Leading experts believe that is achievable within 10 years given adequate support for clean meat research and development.
What has me interested in this producthas nothing to do with its taste.I am all for it for one huge reason.
About 80 percent of antibiotics produced in the U.S. are given to farm animals. This steady stream of antibiotics contributes to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and superbugs that cannot be killed by standard antibiotics. Clean meat does not require the use of antibiotics.Superbugsis becoming a real problem in thisWorld. If we can stop slaughtering farm animals for food, grow cleaner food for our tables,and stop pumping our food with antibiotics,sign me up for the first$10 Clean Meat Burger!

Why The Tardis Is The Perfect Spacetime Machine
Often,in my reading repertoire,I will go backand reread one of my favorite books from my youth.I recently decided to reread"The Time Machine,"byH.G. Wells.
A classic?Of course.But,reading it as an adult,it got me to thinking.Spoiler Alert.H. G. Wells' main character invents aTime Machine,which he uses to travel 800,000 years into the future.This got me thinking aboutTime Travelingon it's own.First,the basics. Would you be able to breath? During the Permian–Triassic extinction period, enormous volcanic eruptions filled the air with carbon dioxide, which fed different kinds of bacteria that began emitting large amounts of methane. The Earth warmed, and the oceans became acidic. Killing 96% of life that existed. With today's Global Warming, who is to say what kind of atmosphere the Earth will have 800,000 years into the future.
Now, how does one know, when traveling 800,000 years into the future, that the spot where you started from, isn't now part of a large oak tree, or maybe part of a building, and you materialize into one of them? Or, through Plate Tectonics, that your land mass where you started from isn't now underwater? Remember, 270 million years ago, there was only one land mass on Earth called Pangaea. Until it broke up, because of those Plate Tectonics, into the Continents we love and know today.
Eight hundred thousand years into the future, why would you think that you would materialize on the same spot anyways. A million or two, years ago, the Earth was spinning on it's Axis a lot faster then it is today. Due to a transfer of the Earth's rotational momentum to the Moon's orbital momentum, as tidal friction, it is slowing the Earth's rotation down. It is only 4 cm a year, or 1.57480315 inches per year. But times that by 800,000 years, you will have moved 19.8838782 miles away from your starting point.
You might also be buried underground. It is estimated that almost 300 metric tons of cosmic dust and meteorites falls to the Earth each day. The Earth is getting bigger. Three hundred metric tons might not seem like a lot, but times that by 800,000 years and you get 5.29109e11 pounds of extra debris on the planet. (This Link is for those who don't know what the e stands for on a calculator.) Sure, a lot of it falls into the water today, but what of the future?
Now it goes deeper then this. At first I figured, since the Earth is traveling through space at a rate of 19 miles per second on it's elliptical orbit around the Sun, you would have to choose the same date each year for your materializing or landing on the Earth. You would have to calculate in for each Leap Year as you travel because it takes the Earth 365.242375 days to travel around the Sun. If you choose some random date, the Earth might be on the opposite side of the Sun.
But it even gets deeper. According to NASA, our solar system is orbiting the center of the milky galaxy at a velocity of about 828,000km/h or 514,000 mph. Which means, even if you only went forward only one year in time, our solar system would have moved 187,610,000 miles away from the spot you started from. You would end up closer to a Mars' orbit then to the planet Earth's.This is whyTime Travelis so difficult.Besides the power constraints.You have to calculate inMinkowski Space.

The top bounty awarded for a single report reached $75,000 in 2017, with the most competitive programmes, such as Google, Microsoft and Intel, offering $250,000 bounty awards for critical issues. How they could not find a way for people to download their PDF files on preparedness for natural disasters. Then they came up with the idea to call it a Zombie Pandemic. It still is the same preparedness techniques used for a tornado or a hurricane, but the theme is different. Comic Con Back In San Diego
I am wearing one of my favoriteDoctor Who t-shirts today.The one picturing the firstEleven Doctors.People were asking if I have been,or if I am,going toComic Conthis year.I Wish!I have been to a comic book convention inSan Jose, Californiabefore,but nothing compares to theSan Diego Comic Con.The problem is,the big crowdsand the cost.I would not mind buying some kind ofVIP Pass,if they sold one.So I could move around easier. Otherwise,I am contented on knowing that I am close to being anO.G. Doctor Who Fanas there is in the world.I have been watchingDoctor Whosince 1975,collected and recorded video tapes of the show,when they still made video tapes, went to web-sites dedicated to the show during the 1990s,was gifted anSonic Screwdriverby my kids,and got four of my children hooked asWhovians, and so on.Actually,that part about getting my children hooked might have more to do withDavid TennantandMatt Smiththen me influencing my four girls.

We all know that Jodie Whittaker is taking over and Comic-Con fans were treated to a glimpse of the first female Doctor at a time when gender in film and television is a huge talking point. Showrunner Chris Chibnall, who was part of a panel made up of Whittaker, her companions Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole, plus exec producer Matt Strevens, said this series is different as it features writers of colour for the first time, along with female guest writers, directors and editors. "People need to know the business is for them as well," Strevens said. The trailer, which was shown to audiences, also appeared to confirm rumours that one episode will explore the civil rights movement in the United States. One shot shows the Doctor and her friends in front of a building which bears more than a strong resemblance to the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee where Martin Luther King was shot dead in 1968.
In the background the words 'Montgomery Motor Freight' can just be made out. The city of Montgomery is where Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white passenger and was arrested. It sparked huge protests involving Parks and a young Martin Luther King. Montgomery later became known as the home of the Civil Rights movement. 
The crowd not only got to see the new trailer, but also the Doctor's new sonic screwdriver. Whittaker revealed it to fans on stage and it appeared to have had quite the makeover, although the screwdriver still had its iconic sound, so there's no need to panic!

Urged To Vote Democratic
Ex-FBI Head James Comey urges Public to vote DemocrateBy Sophie Tatum, CNN Former FBI Director James Comey is urging "all who believe in this country's values" to vote for Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections. In a tweet on Tuesday evening, Comey called the Republican-held Congress "incapable of fulfilling the Founders' design." "This Republican Congress has proven incapable of fulfilling the Founders' design that 'Ambition must ... counteract ambition.' All who believe in this country's values must vote for Democrats this fall. Policy differences don't matter right now. History has its eyes on us," he wrote. He also spoke out Monday against the President's comments at his joint news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "This was the day an American president stood on foreign soil next to a murderous lying thug and refused to back his own country. Patriots need to stand up and reject the behavior of this president," Comey said on Twitter.
James Comey served under both Republican and Democratic administrations. He noted that he had been registered as a Republican most of his life, adding that he is no longer.
The former FBI director has been vocal about his frustration with the Republican Party before, and in April he said he could no longer "be associated with it."
He continued in his interview with ABC News saying: "I see the Republican Party, as near as I can tell, reflects now entirely on Donald Trump's values."
"It doesn't reflect values at all. It's transactional, it's ego-driven, it's in service to his ego," he added.

I keep hearing this overand over again."Why should I vote? My vote doesn't count. Besides, all Politicians are crooked anyways."I know,

which are the hardest

Voter
turnout.
People do not feel the need until the
Big Elections.
See,that is whatBig Political Machineswant you to think.They know they can rally up enough votes to get their particular candidate elected,
that will back their agenda,because that candidate will be owing to thePolitical Machine
that got them elected.
They will always be in the back pockets of those running the
Machine.
Let me tell you a little story about voting
and how every vote counts. MyGrandfather,when he was alive,was a localPoliticianin the city of Cudahy, Wisconsin .
The very first year he ran for public office,his family was so sure that he was going to win,that myMother,when she was still being courted by myFather,while he was still courting myMother,decided it was too much trouble for them to go outand vote.Back then,the candidates would receive a phone call from theWisconsin Election Boardtelling them of the results.MyGrandfathergot the calland lost byOne Vote.If myParentshad gone outand voted,myMother's Votewould have been the tying vote,and myFather's Votewould have been the winning vote.Your voteand every vote counts.The happy ending to this story is,myGrandfatherran again forPublic Officetwo years laterand won.He then held the position for16 Yearsin a row until he retired.True story.
