Still Can't Get Any Satisfaction

 A story,which is still true today as it was onFebruary 9th, 2016when I wrote it.Called;Can't Get No Satisfaction Unless We Follow What Our Idols Tell Us What To DoLyrics by theRolling Stones.  *****"When I'm driving in my car and the man comes on the radio. He's telling me more and more about some useless information. Supposed to drive my imagination."

Payton Manning mentioned that he planned to"Drink a lot of Budweiser's"after the lastSuperbowlhe played in,the media went crazy thinking he got paid for saying it.A couple of facts.First,he wasn't paid byBudweiserto say that.Second,it was worth $3.2 million to the company anyways,according toMarketwatch.com for him to do so.(USA Today)
"When I'm watching my TV and a man comes on and tells me how white my shirts can be. But he can't be a man 'cause he doesn't smoke the same cigarettes as me."
WhenBeyoncéput out her first song since 2014 over the weekend,Red Lobsterprobably wasn't expecting a sales bump to result. The sit-down seafood restaurant got one anyway. The chain said sales were up 33% on Sunday over the previous year, thanks to a lyric in the new track that suggests using Red Lobster's food as a reward for sex. (CNN Money)"When I'm riding round the world, and I'm doing this, and I'm signing that, and I'm trying to make some girl. Who tells me baby better come back maybe next week because you see, I'm on losing streak."
Those are two great examples of why Politicians, Merchandisers, and Charitable Organizations  all look to Athletes, Musicians, and Actors to endorse their agenda, products, and causes. It is a proven method, as far as I know, since the Movies 
created 
Celebritiesback in 1888. Maybe even longer.So, the next time you see Sarah McLachlan telling you it will only cost you a dollar a day to save a neglected dog, open up your wallet and "follow the crowd" by giving and giving until you can't give no more.
P.S. Most Athletes, Musicians, and Actors don't give their money to these organizations. Their handlers tell them that by  "giving their time" to get you to give your money, that, in this way, they are giving back to society!

You Show Yourself By Your Words

Sometimes,there are people in life,who just have to be obnoxious,because they can hide behind a screen of anonymity.They are afraid to confront you personally,because they might find out that they are wrong. I would not exactly say that one of my repeatCommentatorsis aHater,I would just like to say he is biased.And not in a good way.More like the way a drunken beer drinker,sits on the same bar stool every night for years,staring down the neck of his empty bottle of beer,and telling anyone who will listen that he knows what is right for thisCountry,but has never once voted in his life."Why, my vote doesn't count for nothing anyways!"He will say.The person I am talking about has never signed hisCommentsby his real name.I do believe there is more than one person who signs there comments"Anonymously," but you can tell the difference between them.Most noticeably,by the way they use sentence structure.And I am not talking about theHacker Group Anonymouseither.Even though they have commented on myTwitteraccount.On myPostI Crashedthis person sarcastically wrote

WOW!

Has it really been that long?Well,I haven't been able to take my the computer I normally use in to get fixed,because of money,which means I don't have any,so I brought out,from the mothballs,an oldWindows 7computer I have lying aroundand hooked it up today.Man,is it slow too!I know what you are thinking,"TwoBuck, you said you were a computer geek at one time, why don't you fix your own computer?"Well,like the nice guy that I am,I borrowed my copy ofWindows 10to a person who is no longer my friend.I have been waiting for him to return it,but he says he lost my copy.Instead of investing in a new copy ofWindows 10because of lack of funds,I am thinking of going old school.Does that mean I am going toPiratea copy? I do not condone illegal activities.Wink, Wink. Sorry for the long wait though.I know I will have to start catching up on some of my regular stories that I write each weekand I have a couple of good ideas to write about that I have dreamt up during my hiatus. So starting tomorrow,I will be back at it.No matter how long it takes to write on this old computer!

Memories Of When A Few Of My Kids Where Young

you know what I mean.

When your children are young,they are very susceptibleand are learning from the things they see,smell,and touch.They are being taught what is rightand wrong.They pick up habits from the people around them.It doesn't matter if they are goodor bad ones.This is a story of one of those moments that seem so innocentand harmless,that most people would disregard the memory after it happened.For me?I love this memory.It shows how smart kids areand how quickly they can learn.
It all started in my 1995 Mitsubishi Montero. A large enough vehicle to cart all my kids around town in. Side note. When you become a Parent, you also become a Taxi Driver who doesn't get paid. The Montero, though roomy, was a very low tech vehicle compared to today's cars. It had air-conditioning, electric windows, and an AM-FM radio, with a built-in CD player. So I had a box of CDs in the car at all times. One of the CDs became a family favorite after only a few plays. The group was really talented, and being an ex-musician myself, I loved that my kids like to listen to music so much. One morning I was taking my three youngest children, who were born 1 year apart from one another, to school. Conveniently, that year they were all attending the same middle school together. On the way, one of them popped in the CD, "40oz. to Freedom" by Sublime. Everything seemed fine that morning and was moving along smoothly. The kids were singing along to the songs instead of fighting with each other and I was feeling pretty good that day myself. Before I turned into the school's parking lot, to wait inline with the other Moms dropping off their kids, I was taking pride in the fact that all three knew every lyric to every song. I mean every song. There was time to listen to one more, and when it came on, all three of them knew the lyrics and started singing;

I smoke two joints in the morning, I smoke two joints at night
I smoke two joints in the afternoon, it makes me feel alright
I smoke two joints in time of peace, and two in time of war
I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints, and then I smoke two more

I stopped the car, turned off the CD player, and made each one promise that they would never sing the song, "Smoke Two Joints," at school, ever! All three were so smart that they knew right away what I was afraid off. They all started laughing. Each one promised they would never sing it at school, but couldn't help themselves from laughing until the school bell rang to start the day.

Are You Kidding Me? $4 Dollars?

McLaughlin, for CNN A Florida family is "heartbroken" after a jury awarded $4 in damages for funeral expenses and pain and suffering in a case in which a St. Lucie County deputy fatally shot a father of three through his garage door, the family's attorney said Thursday. Deputy Christopher Newman killed Gregory Hill Jr., 30, in 2014 after a mother picking up her child at a school across the street called in a noise complaint. Newman and another deputy responded to Hill's home, Hill partially opened the garage door, closed it and Newman fired four times, hitting Hill three times, including once in the head, according to court and police records. No charges were filed against Newman, who said he shot Hill because he brandished a handgun. Hill's mother, Viola Bryant, filed a lawsuit against Newman and Sheriff Ken Mascara, alleging wrongful death, negligence, excessive force and violations of Hill's 14th and 15th Amendment rights. Bryant also accused a SWAT team that responded to the scene of firing so much tear gas and causing so much damage to Hill's one-story home that no one can live in it now.
