Winter Newsletter: New Release and Monsters and Alphas
It’s here!
My labor of love. I created a green flags, giving you the positive feels, romance with two magical black characters (well, the demon is disguised as such). I’m a little shy of Valentine’s Day but love can still be in the air. It’s still just 99c for a limited time!
Devin, our MC, is a cinnamon roll demon detective with beserker rage issues. The two things don’t seem possible, right? But he’s doing his best to control himself and Shante, a therapist with magic aims to help him. But she wants to keep things professional. That’s going to be a challenge. Not to mention, unusual demon attacks are on the rise in the city and they might be closer to Shante than the pair realize.
“I don’t want to scare you by saying you’re mine, so instead, I’ll say I’m yours. Use me how you wish. Even if it’s to break my heart. Although I know that won’t happen.”

December Newsletter: Trips, Sales, ARC requests and more!
Happy Holidays and welcome to December’s jam-packed newsletter! What a year this has been. I got to travel to South Africa and Portugal, which were both wonderful experiences with family and friends.
I completed my spicy Love and Bonds trilogy. This led me to two spin-off books I’m currently working on. How to Fail at Avoiding an Alpha Demon (ARC request below) which is currently being professionally proofread. The second spin off is How to Fail at Annoying an Alpa Fae, which I’m midway into writing and have commissioned the cover.
Next year, I plan to release the How To series and start writing, finally, the conclusion to my Paranormal Times series. Specifically, the sequel to Dark Hauntings back under my CC Solomon pen name.

Fall Newsletter: New Release, Something new and Books Galore

Summer Newsletter: Cover Release!
Happy Juneteenth and Almost Summer! This will be a relaxing one for me as I’m still winding down from my trip to Capetown (beautiful) and Johannesburg (the vibes!), South Africa. Other than a quick trip to Vegas this summer, I’ll be continuing my writing. My latest book, which I discuss below, comes out in the Fall. And currently, I’m writing a novella to continue the series. Two will come out next year.
Then, I promise, I’ll go back to my CC Solomon pen and finish my Paranormal Times series!

March Newsletter: It’s Out and Goodbye for a while

Meanwhile, I’m heavily considering going back to my CC Solomon pen and finishing Fran’s story (two more books) in the Paranormal Times series.

February Newsletter: It’s On the Way!

Swept up in a magical tornado by an evil wizard, I land in the dark fae realm far from home. I’ve got my trusty ice magic, but none of that helps me get out of a realm that wants to enslave and kill humans.

The leader tilted his head, working his jaw from side to side as he considered my response. “No, we don’t. But no wizard should have been able to send you here.” He seemed almost angry when he said that. Did he think I was lying? Or was he mad a non-fae was powerful enough to open a fae portal?
Either way, he couldn’t possibly be as upset as me. I was the one who was probably going to be enslaved to be a plaything of this silver-eyed psycho still on top of me. The guy had now taken to inhaling and stroking my hair like I was some cat. In a different setting, I might have allowed myself to enjoy it more; it did feel soothing. He was being surprisingly gentle now. Maybe they would send me home.
The leader took a step back, hands still clasped behind his back. “Xander, stand her up.”
The psycho, who I now knew was Xander, paused, rubbing his cheek against my hair and wrapping his arms around my back, standing us both up in one supernaturally graceful move. He kept his arms wrapped tightly around me, my breasts mashing against his very hard chest. It was like the guy was made of brick.
His hands slid slowly down my back, and I knew where this was headed. I punched him in the chest. “Let me go, or I will make you regret it. I can guarantee you won’t like the kind of pain I’ll give.”
“Let her go,” the leader stated in an even tone.
Xander lifted his arms and took a step back, blowing a kiss at me. I patted my neck gently, searching for the wound, but I felt nothing. Not a mark or even any pain. Wait, had this guy healed my neck with his lick? That was both gross and impressive.

January Newsletter: My favorite Isekai anime and book spotlights
Happy New Year. I hope it’s been a great start for you!
Coming to the second to last stage of my Love and Magic Book. Next month I’ll share a teaser and do a request for reviewers. This is my longest book I’ve ever written but I packed it with all the things I love. Magic, Lila is an ice mage (and maybe more), there’s also fae, a dragon and a vampire. Of course, there is romance and loads of spicy scenes. You know there will be action, I can’t not write that. And diversity. My characters are racially diverse and there is LGBTQ+ representation.
Now here is the nerd part…I also am a huge anime lover and enjoy many isekai anime. Isekai is a fantasy genre where a person from Earth is transported to, reborn, or trapped in a parallel universe or fantasy world (See Anime-Planet). In this case, Lila is transported to the fae realm.
Here are favorite isekai anime that inspired me (you’ll notice that most are romance related, naturally):
Inuyasha – The G.O.A.T for me. You have love, drama, action, magic and the series is completed! Watch it on NetflixThe Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent- The guy in this one is a cute, protective, cinnamon roll and she is super powerful but not arrogant. Watch it on CrunchyrollKakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast- Handsome lead and there’s cooking! Watch it on CrunchyrollMy Next Life as a Villaness: All Roads Lead to Doom- This has two seasons so far and is a reverse harem where everyone likes her and she is so oblivious. CrunchyrollKamigabi No Asobi- Reverse Harem with cute, magical guys. CrunchyrollI’m The Villainess so I’m Taming the Final Boss- She is a fun lead and the guy is handsome and powerful. CrunchyrollAlice in Borderland (not the anime version but the Netflix live action series, so good) Similar to Squid Games but this came first. Finally, this book is a very, loose retelling of The Wizard of Oz, which kind of is isekai!

December Newsletter: Happy Holidays and my latest book cover reveal!
We are coming to the end of the year and what a year it has been!
What HappenedI released two books as part of my slow down. One of which came under my spicy paranormal romance pen name, Liz E. Cooper.
Deathly Dreams was my YA/NA paranormal romance, continuing the Paranormal Rise series with couple Jazmine and Evan and an ode to my favorite horror series, Nightmare on Elm Street, and one of my favorite animes, Kamisama Kiss.
Love and Bonds came about because a girl loves spicy paranormal/omegaverse/reverse harem romance but had a heck of a time finding diverse ones, especially with a black female lead. So I threw it all in one book (well there will be more) and it seems to be working!
What’s to Come- COVER REVEAL! My goal to slow down my writing isn’t going as slow. My book Love and Bonds did better than I expected and so here comes Love and Magic, the sequel. If you’ve read Love and Bonds, you’ll be curious to see how Billie’s bestie, Lila Ramirez, gets her own happy ending. Well, it’s coming in March 2023! October Newsletter: Full Disclosure
October is my month. Not only because it’s my birthday but because I love horror. So, this is the month when horror movies are in full swing. I watch the classics like they are yearly Christmas movies.
And if you’ve been reading my books, you know they all feature a horror element. Deathly Dreams has a nod to Nightmare on Elm Street. Mystic Bonds series is influenced by Stephen King’s The Stand. Lightning and Curses has an element from King’s, The Mist novella. Dark Hauntings is influenced by a few horror movies I’ve seen as well.
Full DisclosureAnd with all that writing I was hoping for a break. Writing can be an emotional, mental and financial strain. I love to write the stories and share them but there is so much more to it than just typing. On average, I publish three books a year, while working a full-time job. Ultimately, I planned to reduce my writing output and spend more time focusing on marketing and, well, reading.
Love and Bonds was supposed to be my last for a while, however, I was pleasantly surprised to see how many reviews it’s already gotten after only being out a month and being a new name. So, I will release the two sequels next year.
Will I go back to writing urban fantasy?Yes. I really want to finish Fran’s story in the Paranormal Times series. She is my favorite MC. I’ll come back to her, but it will be a while. I also have a totally new series running around in my head.
So, this is just a break for now, but not forever. Although I will be slowing down my output indefinitely.
