Treat or Treat?

Whew.
Another long, crazy month down. Two more to go.
In honor of today's holiday, (and because MailChimp seemingly lost my newsletter list), I thought it might be nice to give you all a couple treats.
The first is this horror parody of Lady Gaga's Pokerfacesome buddies and I made several years ago. Featuring some of your fave horror movie villains and poking a little fun at the Twilight franchise, here's Monsterface.
What's the other treat I have to give you?
Oh, nothing big....you proba...

Doritos - Crash The Super Bowl 2015

Oh yeah, people. We're making another commercial.
For those who've not heard of this amazing opportunity, (and genius marketing campaign), Doritos is once again hosting their annual Crash The Super Bowl competition. Anyone can make and submit a 30-second commercial featuring pre-selected Doritos products. Two of those commercials will air during the Super Bowl and the grand champion wins a cool "$1 million", (actually around $300k after taxes - still, nothing to scoff at).
Pretty sweet, eh?

Shriekfest

"Life has a funny way of pushing you in the way you need to go."
Mom has told me that for years, but it's only within these last few I've begun to appreciate the value in it. I could point to numerous instances, of course, but for today's story we'll focus on that movie poster you see to the right.
In case you missed my earlier posts, a feature horror film I starred in a couple years ago, House of Purgatory , was recently accepted and premiered at the festival of all things horror,Shriekf...

Orange County Children's Book Festival

Whew. What a weekend I had attending the Orange County Children's Book Festival (OCCBF). First, I have the greatest family in the world. My mom and aunt flew out to help me prepare for the event and babysit Little Miss. (We may also have slipped in a little Game of Thrones marathon while they were here too.)
The OCCBF was my first festival as an exhibitor, so I had no idea what to expect. Thankfully, the coordinators were awesome (yay, Barry, Pat, & Robyn!) and I met some amazing other author...

15 Movies Challenge

Sooo a good friend of mine (and former costar, yeah House of Purgatory!), challenged me awhile back to list 15 movies that have stuck with me. Not necessarily a favorites list, but films that hold special meaning to me. I loved the idea so here they are, folks, in no particular order:

1. BRAVEHEART
I'd have a hard time choosing between Braveheart and the next film for my all-time favorite.Showing my age here, but I still remember going to the Thorntown Library to rent it on VHS, (two tapes!)....

Doubt vs. Fight

Remember in grade school when you would go to a rival school and just hateon the opposing team and their fans? Then, the following year, you'd move on to the middle grades or high school, where everyone was combined. Suddenly, that rival sat next to you in class, or was your teammate, and bam...new best friend.
That's what fantasy football is to me.
For the record, I bleed Indianapolis Colts blue and white. However, like the schools combining, fantasy football made me reconsider players I previ...

Indiana represent!

Wow, have I got a story for you people.
Apologies again for the slow update, but I figured most of you reading this would rather me finishTakenWith A Grain of Salt, the sequel to Salted, than a blog post. (BTW, book's almost there, ya'll!)
However, this story is too crazy not to write a quick post.
Last Wednesday, I attended the SAG Foundation's short films screening in L.A. A film I starred in,The Contract, was one of seven accepted out of close to two hundred submissions. Not too shabby. ;)

Let the good times roll!

On the heels of yesterday's post, I received an email with the below pic. Picture How cool is that? Big thanks to the Lebanon Public Library for including Saltedin their YA book club for this month. I'd already been knocking out words like crazy on the sequel, Taken With A Grain of Salt. The above pic just fueled me to write faster.
THEN, to top an already crazy good news afternoon, I receive a text from my buddy, writer/director, Tyler Christensen. His film,House of Purgatory,(of which I starr...
