The Debate Draws Nigh...

In two days time, a debate kicks off the likes of which you will ne'er see again. But first, some background on the events leading up to this epic duel.

READ poster

Picture Anyone else remember those READ posters in your school library?
I do! Always hoped I'd end up on one...
(Aaron checks that one off the bucket list.)
Big thanks to the students and staff of Francis Parker for inviting me into their school this past December and creating this poster.
I love my dark wings!

If you have the time today, check out this causeto stand up against bullying. Oh, and get your pink on.

Keep Going

I dunno about you, but I'm ready to put January in the rearview. Came back from Christmas rearin' to go in 2015...
Then the little one caught bronchitis for a week.
Then the wife got it.
Then I caught it.
Oi.
I don't write all this expecting, or wanting, sympathy. Meh.
I'm writing this post today for anyone else like me and Rapunzel who has a dream.Doesn't have to be book, acting, producing, etc. Maybe you're starting your own business. Or kicking around the idea of chasing those goals. The p...

Fan Mail!

Guess I won't be able to use that "to all three of my fans" line anymore...
Went to the mailbox today and found quite the surprise...as in 60+ fan letters!I might've skipped back to the house.
Anyway, all the letters are from students I spoke with on my December tour. Most of them are thank you letters, but afew aspiring authors even had questions.
I thought it'd be cool to answer them via video post and share excerpts of these amazing letters with all of you. ;) Still here? You rock...

Peace out, 2014

Wow.
2014 is finishing on a fantastic note - my debut novel, Salted, was nominated for Best YA Novel of the Year in the annual P&E Reader's Poll! How crazy awesome is that?
Better still?
Readers determine the outcome. And because you obviously rock if you're reading this, I hope you won't mind headingon over to P&E tovote for Salted . I'd reallyappreciateit.
Well, friends, 2014 was insanely good to me and I hope it was for you too. I dunno about all of you, but methinks 2015 may just top it.

Indy Book Tour - final recap

Merry Late Christmas, all!
Meant to have this posted before leaving for the holidays, but happy to finally have a chance to sit down and write it out now. Christmas rocked! My fam says I'm pretty tough to find gifts for - books, movies, and Indianapolis Colts gear.
Simple and I love it.
Btw, I might've received this Christmas present a day late, but you won't hear any complaints from me. I received an awesomeemail this afternoon - my debut novel,Salted, has been nominated for Best YA Novel of...
