Something good? Awesome? Bit of both.

Guess who finally saw Guardians of The Galaxy?
Loved it, btw. I've probably listened to Redbone's Come and Get Your Lovea thousand times since the movie ended. Also, let's be honest, more than half of those listens became dance parties.
Okay, all of them did.
Anywho, definitely check the movie out. I lean towardDawn of The Planet of The Apes as my fave summer movie, but it's close. You really can't go wrong seeing either film.
Apologies it's been so long since I've posted. Been crazy busy wor...

A great light has gone out.

My great grandmother once told me that making a person laugh, or even smile, meant you could make them love you. I quickly found her words true when I watched films and listened to stand up.Many comics and actors made me laugh. None so consistently as Robin Williams.
I would fast-forward to the Genie parts in Aladdinto hear his accents, then rewind to hear them again. I "practiced" hanging upside down while on the swing bar at recess and somersaulting to land on my feet in case Peter Pan sear...

Signed copy giveaway, giveaway, giveaway!

Just got back from the post office on another signed copy drop off (my 4th one already!) Proud to say the postal workers now hail me by 'Oh, crap. Not this guy again.', rather than their standard, "Next customer in line."
I count that as a win, even if the people in line behind me didn't care for my boxes of packages to ship out.
Anywho, I'm in such a good mood today that I wanna share the love. I've posted the entire first chapter of Salem's Vengeance AND I'm offering signed copies as a...

Find The Cutes - by Vincent & Celestial Noot

If your childhood was anything like mine, you spent countless hours searching for a striped sweater and toboggan in theWhere's Waldo?series. If I'm being completely honest, I still enjoy hunting down that rascally devil.
However, when Waldo proves elusive, or you're tired of the familiar red and white stripes, you should probably check outFind The Cutes. Oh, and it's your lucky day because I convinced illustrator and co-creator, Vincent Noot, to grant me an interview! Picture First, thanks...

Outta the way, newb.

Lowes and Home Depot: stores I previously dreaded walking into. Now, I'mgreeted by name due to my previous week's escapades.I've written before of my woefully lacking handyman skills, but I decided early this year to conquer that weakness and learn more.
For those whohaven'tseen the Facebook pics, my wife went home to Indy for a work trip and took Little Miss to the see the grandparents last week. I opted to surprise them by transforming our dirty, rock-filled backyard with a newly landscape...

News, news, news!

Heyo! I'm still alive! :)
Apologies I've been MIA the past...oh...couple weeks. I locked myself away to bang away at TakenWith A Grain of Salt, the sequel to Salted, most of this month. (I'm near 50,000 words so far, for those of you looking for an update.) I remain optimistic for an early December release so keep checking back for more updates!
I didn't write a single word this past week, however. When Karen and I moved into our house, we discussed how we would someday transform the dirt pat...

Happy Indie-pendence Day

I believe in the America of old. For the uninitiated, that means you don't ask for, nor accept, handouts. You don't complain. You don't make excuses. You lace up those work boots and make something happen.
If you want to know what America is/represents, I think Steve Jobs said it best:
Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with...
