Update | Bring out the Bubbly!

It’s update time!!!

According to WordKeeperAlpha, where I log my words, I made the 250.000 words I set out to do on August 7th. I don’t know if that’s true since I don’t log my words every day, I do them in batches, but it could be 😊

This last month, I wrote 26.998 words, so not bad but not awesome either. My personal life is in upheaval, so I’m quite pleased with those ...

Book Giveaway

New month, new giveaway! In September last year, Holly released The Dragon Next Door. Despite what the title might lead you to believe, it’s a contemporary story.

Adrian lives in an apartment, and one day Lorcan moves in next to him. Adrian has a lively imagination and is convinced Lorcan is a dragon, werewolf, or some other kind of shifter. Why else would he growl when Adrian talks to him through the mail slot on his door?

I love Adrian, but I’m glad he’s not my next-door neighbour.

I don’t h...

Wrap-Up Wednedsay | August

It’s wrap-up time! I was in a bit of a reading slump at the beginning of the month. There are a lot of things going on in my private life, and this month has been a bit overwhelming, so I was unable to focus.

I did reread The Disassembled Life of Duncan Cole, which is a long read, but other than that, I’ve only read a few short ones toward the end of the month. I don’t mean only in the way that short stories don’t matter as much as longer stories, because they do, but the duration I need to stay...

Read Around the Rainbow | What are your top three non-romance reads?

It’s time for the monthly Read Around the Rainbow post! If you haven’t read one before, we’re a group of authors who blog on the same topic once a month. You’ll find links to everyone’s post at the bottom.

ReadAroundTheRainbow

What are your top three non-romance reads?

This month, we’re doing a list post with our top three non-romance reads. I have a problem. When I sat down to think about what to write for this post, I realised I only read romance – not only. I might read a few mysteries without any romance in the...

Guest Post | One Summer Night by Ellie Thomas

Today, we have the lovely Ellie Thomas back on the blog to talk about her story, One Summer Night, which is released today 🥳 Welcome, Ellie!

One Summer Night Promo 1

Thank you so much, lovely Ofelia, for having me as your guest again today. I’m Ellie Thomas, I write MM Historical romance, and today I’m going to be chatting about One Summer Night, my August release for JMS Books’ Day or Night story submission call.

I seem to be going through a Regency phase in my stories currently! I have managed to sneak in Elizabethan,...

WhatToReadWednesday | Red Covers

I couldn’t for the life of me come up with something to write for this month’s #WhatToReadWednesday post, so I scrolled through previous posts. I have blue covers, I have white covers, and I have green covers, so why not do some red covers??

Here are a few books I think you should read if you haven’t already that have red or reddish covers… maybe some will be a little orangeish 😊

The Duality Paradigm by Lia Cooper

Magic users and shifters! I remember liking this a lot. Maybe I should reread it...

Guest Post | Hellbound… Season 2 by Alexa Piper

Alexa Piper is back on the blog, yay! Welcome, Alexa 😊

Hellbound grew from a prompt and my desire to make the Devil anything but a horned and hoofed bad guy fond of any and all debauchery. Well, Lucy is still very fond of any and all debauchery, but he isn’t the god featured in Judeo-Christian myths.

Instead, he’s a death god who uses his mother figure as an excuse to befriend humans. And he has really nice hair.

Lucy, maybe not surprisingly, is the one readers want for themselves, and believe...

Guest Post | The Book Dragon’s Lair

FridayKiss

Hiya! I’m here as Holly today! I have a new book out called The Book Dragon’s Lair, and I’ve been looking forward to telling y’all about it! 😁

I wrote it to celebrate Bookstore Romance Day, and when I planned my year, it was one of the few days I’d decided I was gonna write. Normally, I don’t look too far ahead. My goal is to have one release a month, and while I have days I want to do, most months are open for changes. Not all. Like in December, we’ll have a story for Crossword Puzzle Day, I k...

Update | Time to Reassess?

It’s harder to stay on top than it is to make the climb. Continue to seek new goals.

Update time!!! I’ve eh… lost myself in a bowl of colourful M&Ms, I’m afraid. I’m quite frantically working on Holly’s October story. It was supposed to be done already. I told my lovely publisher that I was writing a story for National M&M Day, and they wrote me into the release schedule. I said it would be quick and easy – colourful little chocolates should make for a quick and easy story, rig...

Giveaway | August

Book Giveaway

Giveaway time!!! Last year, Holly released The Bear Claw in August. It’s one of those stories I wrote for my own amusement. I love a traumatised hero who finds his happily ever after with someone he never thought he’d be with.

The Bear Claw is a cafe and Shiro is a baker. He has a special ability that allows him to put emotions into cookies. The problem is that he’s terrified of the shifter customers so his emotions aren’t something he wants to share. When Pitch, a dominant wolf shifter, sees S...
