This was an awesome book, #4 in the South Port Beach series. There are elements of the otherworldly as well as references to Christian living in this book, which I loved.
This story features Brooks, an FBI agent, and Serenity, a divorced woman on the run from her abusive ex-husband. Both suffer from PTSD and its effects. As they navigate a new relationship, issues from the past creep into their lives threatening their future. Throw in a search for the Conquistador gold, a crazy billionaire and an ex-husband, and you have an action-packed ending for the 5-star novel. And by the way, Brooks and Serenity find their happily ever after!
