I have been asked why I don't try my hand at writing mainstream books. The answer is quite simple. I don't have the patience. I find life so fascinating that it is hard for me to buckle down and type out the words for my own shorter stories. If life's demands interrupt the story I tend to struggle. A month will fly by and if the story isn't finished, I'm ready to start on a new one.
This week's calendar is filling up. Tomorrow I need to go to the city. On another day, a friend, who moved away last year, and I are getting together for lunch to catch up. We also received the news that my aunt has passed away and I assume the funeral will be this week.
So, today I will work on my current story and try to ignore this new story that is whispering in my ear.

Happy Friday!
My attention had turned to the GRL convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico in October. I think postcards with my book covers are the way to go as giveaways. That way if someone likes a certain book, they have a reminder. I've also ordered more paperbacks of my stories. Unfortunately, I won't be selling them. After much thought, the cost isn't feasible for me.

It may be still summer, but fall is knocking at the door. Some leaves on the trees are changing. My flowers are looking pretty sad. I saw fall mums for sale at the store yesterday. In two weeks the kids go back to school. Yep, fall is near and summer is never long enough.

I had a wonderful writing day yesterday. I'm hoping that the words will flow today, as well. Today, Mr. B is helping a neighbor cut up some downed trees, so I have the house to myself. Time to get to work.

The calendar is empty of appointments and its time to write. What to write is always an interesting question. I have about 6 different stories in progress. Maybe I should start something new? Beginning a story is always fun. Finishing a story is also wonderful. It's the middle that is huge work. Well, I think it's time to finish something.

Today is writing day. Also, bookwork, the sons coming home, and the house getting straightened out. We're going to a picnic tomorrow. The weather is warm and gorgeous, so it should be a fun time. Have a great weekend.

I'm trying to get back into the writing groove after a long, wonderful vacation. It is good to be home. I am working 2 stories at the moment. I can say that one is a Rescue for Hire. I'm hoping to finish them in the next couple of weeks.

I'm back! Mr. B and I had a wonderful vacation. We traveled by train across the United States. What a great way to see the vast plains and magnificent mountains. We then boarded a ship to Alaska. What a fun experience. I loved it. Alaska was gorgeous.
About halfway through our vacation, the little voices in my head began whispering, and I started making notes. Today I'm going to organize those notations and tell the stories behind those thoughts. I am so ready to start writing. Vacation was good and now back to the work of telling tales.

It's Friday already. Wow! The week flew by. If I can I will post early next week before we leave on vacation. It's a busy time. The kids are taking turns staying on the lake and caring for the dogs. A neighbor is going to let them out for a potty break when the kids are at work. I think I have everything covered.
One the 25th Clayton and Bricky (Operation True One) will be released. I hope you all enjoy it.
