The holiday season is here. In our house we celebrate Christmas. So far, the presents are wrapped and most of the cookies are baked. Mr. B stepped up and helped big time this year. I'm so excited that all of the children will arrive on Christmas eve and spend the night. I can't remember the last time we were all together for more than a few hours.

It's snowing outside. I'm all cozy and warm in my writing cave. For those who have followed all the disarray in the writing world, I want to say that not all authors turn on one another. I have been getting an outpouring of support since admitting I'm fighting writer's block. It's slow, but I'm writing again and have shared some of my work on my facebook page.

Thursday is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. So, this week is getting ready for turkey day. Today I have to make lists and get groceries. Tomorrow is cleaning day. Wednesday is pre-preparing the food for the next day. Early Thursday morning, I rush around and get a little unnerved in trying to arrange the food to be finished cooking all at once. We celebrate our thanks at noon. By 9 am my daughter is usually putting wine in my juice glass to keep me calm. Yes, by noon I'm sitting on a stool, with my wine, and pointing at what needs doing. Everyone usually pitches in and everything works out. Chaos, yes. Lots of laughs, yes. Thankful for family, yes. It's a tradition.

I keep a folder for each of my series. In that folder I have a sheet with notes pertaining to each story. These sheets contain simple facts on each character - color of eyes, hair, and any scars or tattoos. I also list any pet names, city or area they live. I list details that make my characters individuals, different from other books. These notes are invaluable. If I need a name of a brother, boss, or mother during edits or later books, its there.
For the last few days I've been searching for one of these folders. Of course I found it today right where it should be and where I have looked at least a thousand times. Isn't that how it always goes.

I hit a wall with the story I'm working on. So, I switched to a Rescue for Hire story that I've been working on for a while. As I began writing, I realized that for the last 6 months I've been hitting a lot of walls regarding my stories and I have at least 10 books that are in mid-story. Man, if I have a burst of author manic writing, you all will be sick of seeing my name with all the releases. We can only hope, right?

Social media can be a great way to reach many people with a message. Social media can also be a way to reach many people with a not so great message. The wonderful thing about messages, is that we have the power to switch the channel, change the website, and not watch or read what we dislike or disapprove. In that fashion, if you don't approve or care for my stories, you also have choices. Don't buy the books, don't read my stories, and don't stalk my blog and bury a nasty posts deep in the comments.
I write hot stories that include fantasy and action. If you feel the great urge to judge people by what happens behind closed doors, my stories are not for you. Do the simple thing and move along. I won't bother you and I expect you not to bother me. AND, don't bring religion into it. Those who know me, know that I can out recite, understand, and leave you in a muddled mess in the dirt regarding religion.
Okay, now I hate that I've reacted to a slimy post. But, this is my blog. I welcome all comments, but will not accept attacks or veiled threats.

I made it through another busy week. I also figured out why my story was stalling. I rewrote a few sections and now its humming along. I'm hoping for a quiet weekend of writing as next weekend until the end of the month will be crazy.Have a great weekend.
