Dragon Guardian: Fire snippet

For those of you who are still on the fence about purchasing a copy of my book, Dragon Guardian: Fire, perhaps this little snippet might serve to give you the final nudge you need ;)
~*~*~*~*~*~ (Taken from Chapter 24) "Look!" Kira cried as she pointed to the base of the volcano when a column of fire appeared. An enormous smile spread over her face when the flames vanished to reveal Marin, and the elf waited less than a heartbeat before jumping to her feet and sprinting to her friend. "You’re sa...

Dragon Age Inquisition

Have I mentioned lately just HOW excited I am for this game?

No?

Well, after this latest trailer that was released, I can firmly say that my excitement for this game has increased by about 100-fold!

As you can see, as a result of Bioware switching over from Eclipse to Frostbite 3, the graphics are  PHENOMENAL!!!!!  Of course, this is a double-edged sword for me because as you could see in the clip...the giant spider (the go-to monster in EVERY fantasy RPG) looked far more realistic...

Eat My Words!

For those of you who don't follow me on Tumblr, or who haven't checked my website lately, I will be doing a reading from my novel, Dragon Guardian: Fire, at Eat My Words Bookstore in Minneapolis on May 8th at 6 p.m!

Not only will I be reading from my novel, but I will also be talking about my personal experiences in becoming a self-published author. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have either about my journey or about my novel, AND I will be only too happy to sign any...

Why Do the Good Always Die Young?

I know that I'm not the only one in the world who has felt annoyance, anger and even grief when a favorite television show was abruptly cut short. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not talking about a show simply ending because it ran its course. I'm talking about shows that are genuinely clever and well-written being cancelled without rhyme or reason.

You may recall earlier posts of mine in which I mourn the loss of The Middleman and Alien Nation , but alas ...they are not the only shows that g...

Official TMNT Trailer

Hello, my friends.

I am taking a quick break from working on Dragon Guardian: Water in order to talk about the trailer that was recently released for the new TMNT film, because frankly...it merits discussion.

Now, it's no secret that I've had nothing but a special kind of rage for this movie pretty much from the beginning. In case you've forgotten, my past rants can be found herehere, here, and here (they're listed in order of publication). However, while this trailer puts to r...

Dragon Guardian: Water

Well...I think it's safe to say that I broke my New Year's resolution to blog every week. But in my defense, I've been just a tad busy!

A few days after Dragon Guardian: Fire was published, I started working on the second book in my Dragon Guardian series, Dragon Guardian: Water. I am happy to announce that as of this morning, I've finished the first four chapters and have submitted them to my editors.

While there will be many more chapters (don't ask me how many more, because I honestly...

Star-Crossed...Alien Nation Meets Romeo & Juliet

Well, I finally got around to watching the first episode of Star-Crossed, and I have to admit that the similarities between it and Alien Nation are staggering...
Like the Tenctonese, the Atrians have two hearts. Like the Tenctonese, the Atrians have a dietary restriction ( as exemplified by when one of the Atrian students is getting lunch from the school cafeteria and is given the choice of three differently flavored rice cakes). Remember how I said in my earlier post that the A...

No Rest for the Wicked

Hello, my friends!

Well, it's official...

I've started working on Dragon Guardian: Water...otherwise known as book 2 in my Dragon Guardian series!

I know it might seem a little soon considering that Dragon Guardian: Fire came out only last month, but I am a slave to my muse...and she will not be stifled. Don't misunderstand me, I am always making notes...always adding to the notes I have written for my characters as well as the world in which my saga takes place--always adding to...
