Halloween

The dark streets are empty, all trick-or-treaters are in their beds.Their candy sacks empty, and delights of the night dance in their heads.
Halloween--the night of the dead, the dark night where two worlds become one.Halloween--the night of the dead, the dark night where all reason is gone.
All mortals sleep soundly, oblivious to what approaches.Their minds have emptied profoundly,as midnight the clock reaches.
Halloween--the night of the dead, the dark night where two worlds become one.Halloween--th...

Kid Products...Seriously, WTH?

I've come across some strange things since becoming a mom. It's an inevitable occupational hazard that no one ever really warns you about, but it always surprises me when the strangeness reveals itself in the form of baby products. Now, I'm not talking about product recalls. That's going to happen with products from every age group. It's an inevitability

What could I mean, then?

It might not seem like much of anything, but to me...they simply make no sense.

For example, next time you find yourse...

Updates!

The other day, I took advantage of the fact that Vistaprint was having a store-wide sale and ordered some goodies that will hopefully help me get the word out there even more about my Dragon Guardian series as well as the world of Primordya in which it takes place.

The items just arrived today! Fortunately, they arrived just in time for my husband's out of town business trip tomorrow, so not only will he be taking some of the rack cards with him, but he will also be u...

November CAN'T Get Here Fast Enough!

By now it's no secret how much of a fan I am of Dragon Age, and how excited I am about the upcoming release of Dragon Age Inquisition, the latest installment in the game series. My excitement only shot into the stratosphere after seeing this latest teaser video this morning...
See what I mean?

How awesome was that?!

Seriously!

I've still got chills!

Never mind the fact that we saw plenty of drama and action while seeing familiar characters like Morrigan and Cullen *dreamy sigh* in action and being...

Dragon Guardian: Fire (Snippet)

Hello again, my friends!

It's been a while, I know, but I have been hard at work on Dragon Guardian: Water, so I haven't had much time for blogging.  In any case, I didn't want to leave you hanging for too long, so here is a snippet from chapter 16 of my published novel, Dragon Guardian: Fire. If you haven't yet picked up a copy, maybe this little scene will pique your interest ;)

In any case, enjoy!

Once she was certain her horse could manage on his own, Marin peered into one of her saddle...

No Words...

As a girl geek and gamer, I'm more than aware that I will be met with some measure of disdain and condescension by male counterparts who feel threatened by having their territory "invaded". But, as much as this attitude irks me, I'm usually able to simply shrug it off and roll with it. After all, those particular male geeks, while infuriating and bothersome, are not the majority.

However, the post that I stumbled across today (pictured below) takes that misogynistic and all-around hateful atti...

Amazing...Thy Name is Dragon Age Inquisition

Usually, I'm pretty good at waiting for things. Case in point, I waited nine months for my daughter. But when it comes to Dragon Age Inquisition, I find myself simply unable to wait any longer.
Perhaps it's because of the fact that I've been waiting since the end if my first playthrough of Dragon Age 2 back in 2011, or maybe it's the fact that the people at Bioware are playing things so very close to the vest with this game in the sense that they're being very selective in the information the...

Cullen: Part 2

So it would seem that I jumped the gun a little bit yesterday when I said that Cullen was a confirmed party member for Dragon Age Inquisition. Sorry about that. While Bioware is not confirming that Cullen is a party member, he is in fact still a confirmed love interest for the Inquisitor. How can this be?Simple, this is Bioware we’re talking about. In Mass Effect 3, Traynor was a love interest for Shepard, so it’s more than possible for an NPC to become romantically inv...

Cullen

By now, it's no secret just how excited I am about the upcoming release of Dragon Age Inquisition . Seriously, all you have to do is read my last post on the subject. But nothing could compare to the excitement I feel at this present moment.
Cullen is back!
Not only is my favorite Templars back, but he is a confirmed party member as well as a love interest for the player's Inquisitor! To help you grasp the level of my excitement,  let me put it to you like this...I am more excited about Cu...
