Now, I know this is is a long time coming, but let’s face it…this past year, I’ve been just a tad bit busy with writing and finishing the third novel in my Primordyan Chronicles, so any writing that didn’t pertain to that fell by the wayside. So without further ado, here’s my review of the new Ghostbusters movie.
I LOVED IT!!!!!
Seriously, there aren’t enough words to describe just how much I love this movie, and I will fight anyone who says it sucked…mainly because it did not in...

Being an Indie Author
I’m not going to lie…
Being an indie author isHARDwork.
Let me clarify that statement. Publishing your work as an indie author is actually quite easy with services like Createspace at our disposal. Seriously, the process could not be simpler, and the people working behind the scenes at Createspace are incrediblyhelpful! When I say that being an indie author is hard, I am referring to the actuallifestyle of being an indie author–the lengths to which we have to go to in order to get people to s...

Getting Closer!
I just got back the final chapters I sent to my editors and have just implemented the final changes!
And you know what THAT means, don’t you? Of COURSE you do!
It means that the completed manuscript has just been sent BACK to my editors for a FINAL read! I can go on my upcoming vacation without a care in the world now, because I know that there’s nothing else for me to do. Well…nothing substantial in any case. With every clutch of chapters I got back from my editors, I not only made the tweak...

Finished!
The final chapter of Dragon Guardian: Air, book 3 of myPrimordyan Chronicles, is now complete!
After fourteen long months, I finally hit the final keystroke in the writing of my third novel! Now that the story has been written, the final editing process shall begin. With my mad dash to get all my thoughts down on paper now over, I and my editors now have the chance to take a second look at everything I’ve written for the book and see what’s fine the way it is, and what needs to be fleshed out...

Exhausted Reflections
As of 3 this morning, there is only one chapter left for me to write for Dragon Guardian: Air; and as I rapidly near the finish line, I find myself reflecting back on the fourteen month journey that was my writing process of this installment in my fantasy series. What a journey it has been!
New characters were introduced, other characters were removed from play, threads were connected, groundwork for future books was laid…and MUCH sleep was lost on my part. DGA has been a true labor of love...

Pinterest…a Writer’s BEST Friend
Every so often during my writing, I find myself absolutely stumped in regards to thinking up attire for my characters in current situations. I wholly admit it! It has nothing to do with lack of imagination and everything to do with the sheer amount of endless possibilities.
With all the different types of bodices, sleeves, skirts, and adornments, it’s hard for a girl to focus in on any particular combination…and that’s before you even begin to factor in color. All that being said, sometimes a...

Update on Book 3…
I might be done sooner than I originally anticipated…and no one is more shocked by that fact than I am.
I had originally planned for thirty chapters in this third installment of my fantasy series, Primordyan Chronicles. Considering the new characters and complexities that I planned on introducing within the pages of Dragon Guardian: Air, I believed that I would need thirty or possibly even more chapters in order to tie up threads and lay the groundwork for book 4 (Dragon Guardian: Earth);and...

You Know You’re a Writer When…
You know you’re a writer when you start examining the plot holes in children’s television shows. In my defense though, with the amount of times my daughter has watched Sofia the Firstover and over again, it was bound to happen. Besides…this practice has kept me from completely losing my mind.
