Fun Fact: This cover on Good Reads was my first attempt. See, my designer unexpectedly bowed out for personal reasons, and I was in a bind. I spent a day creating that up there. It's really hard to find designers willing to work with gay romance who *also* share my tastes. With these things, you can't just find someone who's good at photoshop. They have to also share your personal tastes because it'll show up in their work.

What I'm up to...

I have a new preorder! I did this cover myself, with a little help from a friend. It's not as pretty as Perie's work, but I think the man abs make up for it. :D

This book is really fun and I'll talk more about what it's about a bit later. It's another serial, as you can see by the 'Episode One' on the cover, and it'll be quite short. About 15-20k episodes, probably 4-6 books total, depending on where the story takes me. It's only vaguely outlined.

I always do the cover as the very last thing, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a stock image that's exactly like what I pictured for Brian. Granted, that's probably because he's looking away and obscuring a lot of his specific facial features. But still. I saw this image, and I was like, "This is the one!"

Sire & Childe: The last preview

This may become Chapter 4 in the final draft. I'm tweaking my writing process a bit and playing with shorter chapters.

Progress on the novel did come to a stop at the end of June. I was taking care of my grandmother's Great Dane and my dogs got into a fight. A hefty vet bill and a lot of stress took up my July 4th weekend.

Oh, and I busted my laptop screen, lol. But don't worry, happy endings went all around! The dogs are safe and happy, and I've got a fresh monitor.

Sire & Childe #1 - Bundled at last!

The serial books have been unpublished (so as not to cause confusion with new readers looking for book 2) and now this full version is the first book. Brian's story is going to be the second book, and I really want to add a third book before October.

Sire & Childe: Chapter 2

Thank you so much for the kind words on the last chapter! They came just in time too, as I was hitting the middle of the book. The new middle, that is. I added four chapters to my outline, as the story is expanding a bit.

This is a quiet chapter, but it does give some insight to Brian's character and the false belief he must confront. He's a tricky guy to write because I need to slowly turn him to the darkside, basically.

Chapter 3 helps with that, but I've skipped a lot of the violence this ti...
