My days vanish

April 15th already! Whew! Lets get these questions out of the way:

Lovely, lovely book

I got my book in the mail! They sent me two because one was a little damaged. Boy, nothing feels more real than holding the book for the first time and flipping the pages. Saying '150k' or however long the book is is notnearlyas satisfying. This is the first time I get to really see it and see that work accomplished!

I'm finished!

Well, I've actually been finished for a little over a week now. I'm over halfway through my second draft! I have a lot to fix because I actually didn't see this ending coming until I was right there writing the chapters. That's why story outlining always confounds me. How the heck am I supposed to follow an outline when I have no idea wtf I'm doing?

Seph surprised me at every turn in the last act, right up to the ending chapters when he returns to his mother. Now I have some rewrit...

Another small update

Well, I wanted to have started Pykh 4 already, but my Hades book has run long. I expected an 80k novel. It seemed pretty simple, having two main characters and a straight forward plot. Somehow I'm up to 106k, and I've brainstormed ideas for an additional 20 chapters or so until the ending. :/

I'm not good at planning.

So expect another month, at least, for this novel to wrap up! I also got a little stuck on it in August (I didn't write half as much as I wanted to) but I think I've got an ending...

Just a quick update

I just wanted to share how the book is going! I'm sure everyone in the US is out partying this weekend, so it seems like the perfect time, lol. After being passed a horrible summer flu, I've thankfully recovered and am up and working again.

I've written a TON. Waaay more than I thought I would for this book. I thought Hades would end up around 90k total. But I've been taking my time with it, and I'm somehow with 70,000 words and only in the middle of my plot. The chapters have been flowing lik...

And someone responded explaining that Hades & Persephone are basically #relationshipgoals for Greek gods, and that her abduction was part of her wedding ceremony, approved by Zeus. Also, rape and abduction are the same word in ancient Greek.

So poor Hades, who legally and appropriately married his wife, has gone down...

Thank you guys so much for supporting the Pykh books!! Thanks to your love, reviews, and sharing the books on social media, Tantor is interested in acquiring the audiobook rights to Pykh 3, and (hopefully) Joel Leslie will be doing a fabulous rendition of the characters very soon. Eeee, I’m so excited!

I have no idea when the audiobook will be released, but there is usually a 30 day preorder available on audible.com before it comes out. So we shall find out soon.
