One more update!

I'm sorry to make you guys wait so long! So here's another In Progress report.

I'm writing the last chapters of the book! Not the last chapters, but it's looking like I have 12-ish left. They're approx 1.5k on average, so I'm definitely in the range of less than 20k to complete the book.

I am taking a lot of time with this ending, but that's because if you don't like the end to book 3, you're not going to like the series overall. Book 3 is basically the whole point of writing these. :)

Happy Thursday!! I'm super pleased to have listened to the audiobook of Pykh 1. It was so weird! I have distinct voices for the characters in my head. Joel did such a good job as the narrator, but I blushed hearing some parts. I've never heard my work read out loud before! The first sexy scene from Carter's POV is hilarious.

Today I picked a Siel chapter to share. This is Pykh's first warm bath, part one of two. I'm running out of chapters that I can share without giving major plot points away...

Alrighty, here's another chapter! On time! Yay!

This is one of the chapters that I almost cut when I was trying to speed up the pacing of the book. I'm glad I decided to slow it down and let this story find its own rhythm. Scenes are flowing a lot better for me now.

I have a new washing machine, and all is finally calm again. :-) I am heavily focused and hard at work on this book, so I'm just going to tab back over to my word processor and keep going.

Auk spies a prison...

Here's another chapter! Sorry it's about a week late. My household is sick and the washing machine is broke. :-( I bought new clothes because I'm sleepy and drowning in laundry.

But also, I purposely procrastinated with posting this just because I've been writing like crazy. Whenever I get to my desk to write, it's so easy to blow off the blog in favor of going after another scene right away. I do appreciate the occasional poke now and then. It's about the only way I remember to keep my promis...

Merry Xmas! I hope your holiday was safe and joyful. :) I am stuffed on apple pie and after Christmas sales. I especially like the clearance tags at the pet store for Christmas themed dog toys and treats. My minions got another Christmas after the first one!

So for the last week I've been arguing with Amazon's moderation team. Recently, they decided the word 'omega' in book titles is offensive, and they're banning it from advertisements on the site.

The representative I spoke to lumped the word omega in the same sentence as "BDSM, incestualized relationships, sexual contact with person(s) under the age of 18".

Happy Winter Holidays

Here you are! Two chapters as promised! Heh. Sorry they’re a day late. Actually, they’re a lot later than my original promise. It’s easy to put things off when I have scenes to write. Which I have a lot of!

I’m not quite at the halfway point for this book yet, so I think my hope of publishing before the new year is nothing but smoking embers. But I’ll still be chugging for it through January 1st. I have a lot more characters and a more detailed plot going into this one. It’ll clear 100K easy.

Pykh 3 is underway...

Happy October! These chilly fall mornings are magical. I got to wear a sweater this week! I love sweaters, they're so cozy!

I'm starting Pykh 3 today. :) Thank you everyone for answering my survey. I thought I'd get like 20 replies the first week, and that was good enough for me. Instead I got... a lot... And some interesting 'other' comments too. I'll check back now and again as I'm working on the book. I love hearing thoughts about the characters and storyline.

The book is a little shorter than I stated before, ending up at 110k, because I found the perfect scene to end it on.  It's still a lengthy read though. This is the longest single title I've ever published. My other long stories were published in monthly episodes.
