Book review now posted!
Hello, Write Edge readers! I’ve posted my latest book review for you. Today I share my thoughts on Imposter Syndrome and Other Confessions of Alejandra Kim by Patricia Park. Here’s the opening to my post:
A high schooler juggles her multicultural background and a personal tragedy on a daily basis. When she inadvertently gets involved with a microaggression, it feels like everyone is looking at her differently. Through it all, she tries to figure out who she is and who she wants to be. Author Patricia Park debuts in the young adult genre with a novel that is relatable, thoughtful, and insightful in her new book Imposter Syndrome and Other Confessions of Alejandra Kim.

The last full week of February!
Good evening, Write Edge readers! It’s the last full week of the month — can you believe it? I don’t know about you, but these first several weeks of 2023 have raced by.
I didn’t get a chance to post my short story for last week, which means a bonus for you all this week: two stories for the price of one! Last week’s theme, according to the new challenges I’ve set for myself this year, was a story in second person. This week’s is a story that includes something in three. In the Heart of the Linden Wood releases tomorrow!!
Hello, Write Edge readers! I’m thrilled about the release of my second book and first full-length novel tomorrow. In the Heart of the Linden Wood is an original fairy tale for grownups about a grieving king who has to fight for his kingdom by going on a quest. Along the way, he’ll have to rescue hostages and mend another broken heart by putting it back together piece by piece, all while dealing with the question of whether he’s worthy of his crown.
You can find the book at all your favorite online retailers, but if you want to give an indie author an extra boost go ahead and order it from my author website now!
To celebrate the book’s release, today’s haiku shares some of my feelings about the book. Go now to The Write Edge Writing Workshop to read my little poem.
Also, in the middle of the week, I’ll share an excerpt of the book on The Write Edge Bookshelf. And, of course, on Friday, there will be fun Instagram posts to offer more quotes from the novel.
This story is near and dear to my heart. Some reviewers are falling in love with Linden and all of its amazing attributes. Others not quite so much. But I’m proud of the fact that this book is in the universe for you all. I hope you order it or ask for it at your local library and, if you like it, that you’ll share your thoughts in the form of a quick online review. Those reviews are essential for indie authors to continue doing what we love — bringing the stories of our heart to you.

Happy birthday to The Write Edge and to me!
Good evening, Write Edge readers! This little corner of the internet where I share my writing dreams and thoughts with you every week is a teenager — happy 13 years to The Write Edge! More importantly, happy 13 years to all of you. Thank you for your support, your Likes, your comments, and for your patience in dealing with the ups and downs of all these years. I started this to reach all of you in a way I never had before, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to continue doing so.
It’s Wednesday, which means my latest book review! This past Friday on Instagram, I shared my #bookreviewpreview and that I’d be reviewing debut author Jessica George’s new release Maame. Here’s the opening to my post:
A young woman must juggle her mother’s sky-high expectations with the burden of being her father’s sole caregiver. Celebrations coming this week and next!
Hello, Write Edge readers! I’m really excited because this week and next I’ll be celebrating all sorts of things. This week is my birthday as well as the birthday of The Write Edge. Next week is the release of In the Heart of the Linden Wood. I also just celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary. So many good occasions to be excited about!
First up, today is the last Monday of the month, which means our monthly writers’ showcase. I love reading the work of other writers and sharing it with you all. It’s humbling, no doubt — there are so many talented people out there. But it’s also encouraging to think that there are so many talented people out there willing to share their work and themselves. I think you’ll agree you get a sampling of that in this month’s showcase. Find it up now on The Write Edge Writing Workshop!
Next, in the middle of the week, I’ll share with you my latest book review. On Friday I offered you a #bookreviewpreview of this week’s book. I’m reading Maame by Jessica George. The novel releases tomorrow, and I’ll let you know on Wednesday what I thought of it on The Write Edge Bookshelf!
