Writing with children around…
For those who write,
Have you ever attempted to write with children around? You might as well write while in a cage filled with monkeys. You would probably get more writing accomplished.
These children of mine can be sweet angels, but the moment my laptop and notebook appear they become lunatics in a circus! The past two days, I have gotten nothing accomplished with my latest book. I always say I am going to write when they go to bed, but who am I kidding- by then I am a zombie and just want to hibernate.
Anyone else have this problem? Please, say ‘yes’! Even if you are lying! (Ha!)
Happy Reading & Writing

Merry Christmas and ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’
INSPIRATION: THE QUEEN MARY
Have you ever felt ‘the chills’? I remember a few times, as a child, feeling ‘the chills’…..
I look forward to reading Grady Brown’s future work (hoping he comes through and writes about this. Would be a great read! :-) )
As part of my family’s week-long Christmas celebration, we went to The Queen Mary to have a festive dinner and I had a sensation I will never forget. I heard the stories that this historic ship was haunted and once I entered the center of the ship I noticed the atmosphere completely changed. Throughout my visit, I could feel the back of my neck, shoulders, and upper arms tingle as though someone was touching me even though no one was. It was then I realized my family and I were not alone because there was definitely a presence on board. I am thinking of using this experience in future works.

Time of the Year
From my family to your family:
Happy Holidays!!!!
(more blogs to come once things settle down around the house. Because creatures are stirring…except for a mouse. Let’s see how many of you see what I did there with that sentence ;-) )

In need of special patience…
I am a mother of an autistic 10 year old boy. With the numbers increasing, this is not a surprise that I have an autistic child. However, my son & family are hitting a large wall.
He has been on many different medications and still nothing fits him. Now, I believe he is going through the evil thing called ‘puberty’ and he is a ball of emotions. He is having extreme outbursts. When I say ‘extreme’, I mean off the deep end. One minute he is fine and the next he is using profanity, throwing things, hitting, kicking spitting and threatening everyone around him. He finds it funny to hurt people emotionally and physically. Once he comes off of his ‘extreme’ then he is sad, cries and apologizes.
At school he is fine so the teachers think. He comes home, every day, and tells us of how he has used profanity around the other students and threatened a few of them. I have spoken to his teachers and they see none of this behavior.
The more we try to correct my son’s behavior the worse it becomes. It is hard to see your child struggle with their emotions and not be able to help them. Crying only helps release my own emotions, but does not fix the problem. One day at a time, I suppose….

Something to sink your teeth in to…

Faith (Part II of Harper) coming soon…
I walked through the crowded streets of Lamon. Those around me were going about their way naïve to the war that surrounded their city. They should be cowering inside their churches with the doors and windows boarded. In this time of war, they needed to turn to their gods and faith. Their numbers were dwindling down daily, because of their lack of fighting skills, strength, and abilities. They were the weaker breed and for that, they would die.

Is it 5 o’clock yet?
Wow! What a weekend. I am absolutely exhausted. This weekend was overwhelming. I am a parent of a special needs child & this child has gone off the deep end. I am barely keeping my head above water with his issues (cursing, hitting, spitting, breaking stuff, etc). It seems like nothing is working! I just want to scream, cry, and run away. What’s a parent to do?
Time for some tequila, chocolate and writing before school let’s out ;-)
