The new edition of This Zine Will Change Your Life is live and illegal in most states. Or something like that.

The new edition of This Zine Will Change Your Life is live and illegal in most states. Or something like that. We have a new story, Cockfighting: an introduction for amateurs and hobbyists by Becky Hunt which we are way excited about, and, as always, photo action from Adam Lawrence, a music selection from Jason Behrends, and toxic asset prose love from Pete Anderson. We hope you enjoy this edition and we appreciate all shout-outs and links. Please note, that we are temporarily closed for submiss

This Self-Portait Will Change Your Life, Week Eleven - "Sunday."

It is Week Eleven of this Self-Portrait Will Change Your Life, can you feel it? We thought so. This week we continue our efforts to post one self-portrait per week for one year with this entry which is titled "Sunday." This past Sunday was a good day indeed. We ran. Wrote. Read the newspaper and did the laundry. There was sun, it was the third day of Spring and we felt quite hopeful. As always, you can follow this project in its entirety at the Flickr and you are invited to send us a self-portra

Wunderbar. First, a William Walsh - Michael Kimball intersection, and now a Mark Baumer - J.A. Tyler mash-up. It's almost too much to process.

Right? Just last week we reported on TBWCYL, Inc. favorites Michael Kimball and William Walsh joyously intersecting at the Word Riot and this week we are stunned to find a terrifically wacked-out, yet not so atypical, Mark Baumer/Everyday Yeah interview with none other than the J.A. Tyler. How's this possible? Its mayhem, wonderful intersecting stellar writer on writer mayhem, and we just can't take anymore. Okay, we can. So, who's up next week? Huh? Who? [image error]

More Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine library madness. And it is madness we tell you.

We are geeked to have learned that there has been a one-hundred percent increase in libraries that have obtained copies of Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine. As previously reported, copies had already been picked-up by Auckland City Library in Auckland, New Zealand and Bangor Public Library of Bangor, Maine fame, and we now learn that copies have also been added at Burlington Public Library in Burlington, Iowa and Saint Charles Public Library in St. Charles, Illinois, home coincidenta

And now for some multi-pronged Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine BayShore Books love.

The quite excellent independent bookstore BayShore Books out of Oconto, Wisconsin has not only showered some truly killer attention on Michael Paige Glover's cover art for Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine, but given the book a wonderful shout-out on Goodreads which you can read below. Many thanks to the good folks at BayShore and we sincerely hope that on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.

"Another in-your-face, down to earth, edgy novel from Ben Tanzer. Whether you

Check it out, the Corey Mesler has a new book out called Listen: 29 Short Conversations. Now, how about you go and get it. Awesome.

Good friend and great writer Corey Mesler has a new joint out from Brown Paper Publishing called Listen: 29 Short Conversations and we think you are going to want and get a copy for yourself like right now. In the interim please enjoy the following blurbage from the Mesler himself about the book:

"Listen is a collection of short fiction, continuing the exploration of dialogue narrative begun in my novel, Talk: A Novel in Dialogue (Livingston Press, 2002). Listen: 27 Short Conversations is base

I am Richard Simmons. And we are quite proud to announce it. Well that, what's up at the kick-ass ml press and how all this just might be related.

We should probably add here that we are quite thrilled that our short story "I am Richard Simmons" will be published as part of the new slew of ml press chapbooks. This is a fantastic series and we are way geeked to be included with such a stellar group of writers including TBWYL, Inc. favorites Mark Baumer, Mary Hamilton, the Amy Guth, and many others. Further, and yes, there's more, for $36 American dollars, you can get all 18 volumes to be released, plus ml press' first perfect-bound novella

This Self-Portrait Will Change Your Life, Week Ten - "Failed Experiment."

Bam. It's Week Ten of This Self-Portrait Will Change Your Life. We had an idea that didn't work. It was beautiful, and daring, it could have changed lives, and we do love to change lives, but it was not to be, hence this week's title "Failed Experiment." We of course are fully committed to revisiting this groundbreaking, albeit failed idea, just as we are fully committed to producing one self-portrait per week for one year as part of this project. And why are we so committed to this? Because we

A quite fun William Walsh - Michael Kimball intersection of sorts. Assuming intersection is the right word. Either way, it is definitely an interview

We were quite thrilled to see talented writer dudes Michael Kimball and William Walsh, two of our newest and arguably best friends in the whole world, cross paths at Word Riot, where Michael has interviewed William about his new book Questionstruck, while requesting that all of William's responses be phrased as questions. Much fun. Nice work gentlemen.[image error]
