Pretty much every Conan comic ever made is half price on comixology right now. If I was looking to get my Crom on, would you recommend any particular stories?
Oh cool. I love the 70′s and 80′s black and white Savage sword stuff. I recommend anything by John Buscema, Roy Thomas, Ernie Chan or Barry W Smith.
The Horned God –drawn by the amazing Jorge Zaffino, (written by
Chuck Dixon,) is one of my favorites.

I found the top drawing in the back pocket of my jeans, yesterday. Brandon must have made it back in early December, right after I’d beat Dragon age. So I sent it to him, as I do with all important archaeological finds, and he redrew it with a more flattering version of Solas and a less flattering version of me - well, fair enough!
One more giant scary painting, and then I can take a week off and do some fanart of my own. I’m running on fumes at this point.

What's the next issue of 8house? Some places say the second arclight issue and others say the first Kiem issue
#2 is Arclight
and #3 is Kiem.

Re-reading King City makes me wish you'd go back and color it. You have my favorite color style of any comic artist. Multiple Warheads Alphabet to Infinity was the most beautiful.
Awhile back I was thinking about coloring an old comic I did called Universe so big, but looking at pages it made me think that I tend to draw for color or black and white– Also I like to think of whatever work as kind of a time capsule of where I was at when I did it.
but thankss for the nice words. the new Warheads I’ve been coloring has been really fun– I’m trying to mess with color as it relates to storytelling more.
With Grant Morrison becoming the editor-in-chief of Heavy Metal, what do you think of it as a competitor to Island?
I think it’s cool timing the orders for Island have been nice and I’m sure a Heavy Morrison will bring in a ton of comic shop interest. I hope it’s great, I like the idea of the bar being raised for comic magazines.
I think it’s interesting in contrast to Island with Morrison being a guy who tends to only (mostly?) collaborate on comics, where in Island the vast majority of the comics are done by a single creator-drawing, writing, lettering and coloring everythang.
I’m interested to see how he’ll shake the metal bikini rep that HM has gotten in recent decades. Also with Morrison’s work being seen as part of the UK scene, It would have been cool to see him take on something like Deadline or 2000ad as opposed to HM with it’s
Les Humanoïdes Associés association with French comics.
I wonder if he’ll bring in a regular crew of creators who will be known through it or if his HM will just be a Who’s who of western well known comics guys.
There’s something odd about them keeping the old logo. (it is an excellent logo) and then mixing it with a Brian Ewing –rock poster image. I guess that’s them saying– here is the tradition you loveee and the look of recent rock music
Here’s Ewing doing the same kind of thing for a Pearl jum hullabaloo.

If anything the cover makes me feel like less of a stroob for having my own face all over island.

So yeah, this looks to be an interesting time in comics.

Is Island directly related to the 8House line? Can I read Island by itself without being lost?
They’re only related in that everyone involved in 8house will most likely publish other work in Island. –Each issue of Island has 3 comics in it that have no story crossover. (other than me thinking that someone who likes one will like the others)
