Are you ever pissed that some people beg for more of your art, but widely ignore your writing/pet projrcts? Ie island mag

I like when people like the stuff I draw best. I feel like that’s my main thing but the writing for other people and editing is also stuff I value a lot.

It’s all cool. anyone liking anything I do is always great.

joekeatinge:

Both @comixology and @imagecomics are having sales on everything I’ve written for Image in digital forms. Comixology here. Image Comics here.

If you haven’t read Shutter you can get nearly the whole damn thing (thus far) for only $17.99 from Comixology.

You can also get all of Glory for $9.99.

Each issue of Ringside is available for $0.99 a pop.

Hell Yeah, my yet incomplete, somewhat shaky garage band demo tapes of a debut, is also available for the price of an expensive coffee.

Anyway, there you go. If you want stuff I’ve done and want it inside a computer or tablet, your day has come.

A preview of the first chapter of Black Sun Rising, a big personal project I’ve had in the works for the last year! I finished a chunk of it for my undergrad senior thesis, and am currently working on the logistics of what the future holds for the rest of it, but I wanted to share the tip of the iceberg with all of y’all!

What’s out this Wednesday? May 11 edition

fantomcomics:

It was a stellar Free Comic Book Day this weekend with guests @leiladelduca and @joekeatinge–we’re glad so many of you were able to stop by and meet ‘em! Anyway, FCBD is followed up by one of the most colossal weeks of new books in recent memory:

image

Black Panther #2 and #1 second printing by Ta-Nehisi Coates and Brian Stelfreeze

Do we really need to say anything? After completely selling out of the first issue nationwide, and Chadwick Boseman crushing it as T'Challa in Civil War this weekend, you know issue #2 is going to be legit. Plus the second printing of issue #1 is out this Wednesday as well!

image

Island #7 by Brandon Graham, Emma Ríos, Matt Sheean, Malachi Ward, Johnnie Christmas, Kim Kirsch, Robin Bougie, Tamra Bonvillain, and Ariana Maher

IT’S BACK. Brandon promises Island will consistently come out on a monthly basis for the next six issues, and to celebrate we’re finally doing our second Island / 8house book club on Sunday, May 21–the first one we did last year was one of our favorite book clubs ever, so you should definitely join in.

image

Shutter #21 by Joe Keatinge and Leila del Duca

We’re even more emotionally invested in Shutter after this past weekend hanging out with Leila and Joe. You should write in to the letters section sometime!

image

Prophet: Earth War #4 by Brandon Graham, Simon Roy, Grim Wilkins, Giannis Milonogiannis, and Sandra Lanz

We’re nearing the climax of the Prophet saga! After a couple issues focusing on specific characters, it seems the final three issues will all be a giant art jam of different artists as the ensemble cast coalesces for the series finale.

image

Pop Gun War: Gift by Farel Dalrymple

If you’ve enjoyed Farel Dalrymple’s work in Island, it’s all a sequel to his decade-old, out-of-print Dark Horse series Pop Gun War. Image finally wrangled the rights to it and is reprinting it in a gorgeous new paperback, just in time to talk about at our Island book club!

Comixology Pull List is dumb and never added Pop Gun War as an item, so if you want to add it to your pull list, just shoot us an email or a tweet or, ya know, a Facebook message to Jake.
